"The first warning about this company is that THEY DO NOT PROVIDE A CONTACT PHONE NUMBER. If you call the number on the credit card statement, no one answers. This is a prime trait of a company dealing in illegal practices. What are they afraid to hide? Can you name any one retail store on the up and up that you cannot call? What are they afraid of hiding? Did all their stock, "Fall off the truck"? Do they not speak English? Are they laundering money for organized crime or something?

In the course of my order this company has not answered a single email from me. Not one. There has only been one automated update on the site telling me my order would be shipped a faster rate, but no updates as to where my order is, if the item is even in stock anymore, what's going on. Nothing. No updates, no contact, no order received.

Be extremely wary ordering from this company. No phone number is provided. Their practices smack more of a retail looking to rip off the customer than to serve them.

Update as of 1/7/08: As of this moment Case-mod has finally done something regarding my case. They have sent me a tracking number and have sent the package with next-day FedEx as their automated email said they would. My order status has now changed to shipped. The email I received is still an automated one and I have yet to receive an email from a human being replying to my emails. I will update the review further upon the receipt of equipment.

Update - 1/8/08 - The product arrived. Rather than placing the item in a larger box for shipping and sending it the seller simply slapped a label on the manufacturer's box and sent it out the door. Luckily, the original box does appear to be packaged and meant for shipping. However when I open it I find that I have been sent the wrong item! The item I ordered comes in black and silver. It clearly shows in my order that I ordered the silver, but I was instead sent the black instead. I doubt this will ever be resolved and I suppose I will simply live with the black, even though it won't really match my case anymore.

A final note. It's very sad this order went this way. The seller could have made good on this order though simple communication. Non-communication have made this company one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. With service like this, Case-mod doesn't deserve to be in business, their staff is unfit to work, and at this rate will be populating the lines at soup kitchens before long.

"I think resellerratings needs to remove "Online order tracking" and "Customer Support" from the list of supported services above. My order has been "pending" on case-mod.com since I ordered it 5 business days ago. I sent an email 2 days ago from my email address, and another early yesterday through Google Checkout and have received no response from case-mod.com. I wouldn't mind if it was backordered or drop shipped, or even if they were on vacation from new years, I just want SOME kind of response. If I knew the status of my order I could at least stop worrying about it. As of now my credit card HAS been charged, but I don't have a clue what the status of my order is. VERY poor communication, NO phone number, and as far as I can tell a non-functional "order status" page on their site.

UPDATE: Sunday, Jan. 6 - got an email from case-mod.com saying they were on vacation and my order will be shipped within the next 24 hours.

UPDATE 2: Sunday, Jan. 6 - I requested a shipping upgrade for my troubles, this was their response: Since you are in Southern California, FedEx Home Delivery is the best way to go since it is guaranteed to be there Wednesday. Instead of a shipping upgrade, we’ve included a free mouse pad for you and hope it works with the new mouse.

They also claimed to be under new management since 1/1/08. That may be true, but it would have been VERY simple to put a little note on the front page of their site saying they'd be gone and nothing would ship until the 7th. As of Sunday night my order status is changed to shipped and I have a tracking number... even though it won't be picked up until Monday.

UPDATE 3: Wednesday, Jan. 9 - received my package. FedEx left it on the doorstep, even though I never requested that happen, I'm just glad I was home sick from work. Everything was packaged fine, but I got the small mobile version of the mouse I ordered, not the full desktop sized one. Nowhere on the case-mod.com product description does it state the mouse would be a mobile version. The product description is DIRECTLY copy/pasted from the manufacturers website. I sent an email to case-mod.com hoping to get a response today, I offered to ship the mouse back if they can cross-ship the correct one. Still no phone number to contact them.

UPDATE 5: 1/11/08 Got an email back with a return shipping label and a promise to ship me the correct mouse when it is in stock next week, all at no extra cost to me. Looks like they ARE reliable.. just slooooooowwww to respond.

"Ordered my equipment Thursday Dec 13. Received it Monday Dec 17. It went from CA to Maryland. Fast shipping, everything was well packed.

Only problem was website order tracker never changed from "Pending". I ended up sending an email asking about my equipment the same day I got it. Probably could use a website update. Otherwise, very satisfied.

"I placed an order on Monday December 3rd, 2007. I received a Welcome email and an order confirmation email, immediately. However, on Wednesday the 4th I checked their website to see if anything had happened with my order and the status was "Pending". My credit card cleared the charge on 12/05/07. I emailed them on Wednesday the 5th to find out what the status of my order was and got no reply. I also tried calling them on Friday the 7th of December (their phone number showed up on my credit card statement) to only get a generic answering machine message. I also emailed them on the 7th and still have not gotten a response to the status of my order. I understand that it is the Holiday season and that the might be busy, however an email letting me know the progress of my order would be appreciated, a "Pending" status on my order after my card has been charged has kind of got me wondering of the legitimacy of this company especially since they claim to ship 90 to 98% of their orders within 24 to 48 hours.

"I would like to report a similar situation to many of those I have read about at resellerratings.com.

First and foremost, their customer service is terrible. The only way of communication to them is via e-mail and seeing as it so, I would figure that e-mail responses would be quick.

Their website claims that 90% of the orders are shipped with 24 hrs and 98% within 48 hrs. However ordering a product that was in stock for them, it is Friday and I ordered this on Tuesday right after noon. That would make it almost 72 hours on Thursday.

Extremely irritated, I asked nicely for a refund on Thursday afternoon via e-mail (of course). I am writing this on Saturday and they have not yet responded. I have also been charged for what I originally ordered even though nothing was shipped.

I originally thought about giving this company a chance after reading mixed reviews. I thought to myself "Hey, it shouldn't be THAT bad." Little did I know I was wrong. Should've listened to the reviews.

I would like to warn anyone who is even thinking about purchasing from this company to be wary. Question everything and be cautious.

"I ordered the Revoltec BG12959 Hard Drive Silencer on 11/14/7 and it shipped via USPS on 11/19/7 and arrived on 11/23/7 in a nice, protected package. My problem with case-mod.com is that they do not have phone support, and I sent email to them on 11/16 asking why my order was still in "pending" status and again an 11/19 and both email were ignored. case-mod.com claims to ship 98% of their orders within 48 hours and my order didn't ship until 5 days later. A few hours after my second email I received an automated email saying my package was shipped. Nice coincidence, but by that time I was unhappy with the lack of communication. In the future I will be avoiding doing business with anyone who does not have telephone support. A 1-800 number is ideal but even a long-distance number is better than nothing. I might also call the number before ordering to make sure they answer the phone...

"I ordered a OCZ500SXS PSU from these guys and it shipped so fast, most importantly it works and was packed very well with packing peanuts and an invoice. I had a question concerning my order and they jumped right on it and e-mailed the status of it. I'm very satisfied with this store & staff I can't wait to get some more $$ and order something else! :)

I 100% recommend buying from Case-Mod!

"I ordered a Cooler Master RS-A00-EMBA 1000 Watt Power Suppy because they have it on special price of $199.99 on October 12, 2007. Then on October 14, I got an email from them saying that the product is no longer available for that price and they offered other power supplies instead. Sounds like bait and switch to me. I mean if it's no longer available for that price, why was it still on the special page and I was able to order it. So I told them to cancel my order. I then check my balance on my card and found out that my card has been charged already October 12 same day I ordered. If they were not going to honor the price, why was I charged in the first place? It took them 2 days to say that the product is not available for that price but I was charged instantly. It's October 16, I just got an email from them that my status of my order has been refunded. That's two days after I told them to cancel my order. I don't know when they're really going to refund my money back which shouldn't have been charged in the first place.

Stay away from this site.

"It has been 3 weeks today since I placed an order for a computer case and for buying the case there was a special on a 1000W power supply so I ordered that because it was way cheaper than other stores were asking. The case was slightly cheaper than other stores, but I decided to buy from Case-Mod because they were the only company I found that had it in stock. As I said before, I placed my order on the 7th of September. On the 8th, I received an email that said my order had been updated. I checked and the order said it had shipped and even gave me a tracking number so I could keep an eye on it. It was scheduled for delivery on the 14th. Still a while to wait, but oh well it was only a week away. So I waited my week and friday the 14th came and I am excited to start putting my new computer together as soon as my case and PSU get there. Then before FedEx drops off, I get another update from Case-mod. It turns out that My order was not all showing up. Here is the quote. "The comments for your order are:
Hello Tyler,
The Tt case will be shipping on 9/20. Sorry for the late notification. The PSU is already on its way to you as of 9/8" They waited until the day my case was supposed to show up to tell me it was not even in stock. I was not happy, so I sent them an email to try to get them to overnight it to me when they did ship it out. Their quote, "Hello TY,
We would not be able to offer an express upgrade on the case. What we can do is adjust the shipping charges and refund a portion of the shipping fees due to the delay. Let us know." That is fine, and very quick response. The next morning (the 17th)I sent another email asking what I needed to do to have it overnighted. I had not heard from them when Wed. (the 19th)showed up so I sent another saying my case was scheduled to ship out the next day and I really needed to know what I could do to have it shipped out overnight. I did get a response the same day. They said they were looking into it and they would get back to me as soon as they had more information. I did not hear back from them on the 20th when they said it would ship out. I sent emails on the 20th, 24th, and 25th asking for an update and had no reply until the 26th. They sent me an email saying that it had shipped out that morning. (Six days after the day they said it would ship.) That morning after I got the email I checked my order status and there is no update on it and no tracking number. I sent an email asking for a tracking number on the 26th and again today the 28th and have still not received either an update or a tracking number. I have no idea if it is really on the way or if they are just telling me that it shipped so I won't cancel the order. I'm at the end of my rope here. I have tried to call the number listed on their website and the one listed on resellerratings and I get a mailbox that says that nobody is there and it hangs up on me. It was not even a voicemail box. Is this how a business is supposed to operate? Very Dissatisfied.

My CC was charged but the order status is "pending" so I email them to ask when the order would be shipped. I have not heard from them.

Their website claims that 90% of the orders are shipped with 24 hrs and 98% within 48 hrs. So does that means there is a problem with my order?

All I want is some sort of communication.

I will withhold a "Very Dissatisfied" rating until Monday Sept. 24th.

Well, I finally heard from them. My item was not in stock (even though their site stated that it was in stock) thus the delay. I will leave my rating as neutral since my order will be shipped today.

I would have left a positive rating if they would have just contacted me when they realized that they didn't have my item in stock. Instead, they waited two days and only after numerous emails did they inform me of the delay to my order.

"I've ordered from Case-Mod.com three times now, and every time has been great. They were out of stock once, and they upgraded me for free to a better product, they're quick and have good service. I've even gotten a few extras in my shipment on occasion. ;)

I'd buy from Case-mod.com over another reseller, even if Case-mod.com has a higher price.

"I ordered 8 fans, MX-1 thermal paste and Artic Silver Artic Clean 240ml kit..I paid for USPS priority shipping since I new with how fast they ship I had a good chance of getting it on Saturday. Unfortunately, they split the order and used USPS for part and UPS 2nd air for the other(this was a waste IMHO). I have no idea why they did not ship it USPS priority the second package. I am disappointed but realize they viewd that as upgraded shipping and I commend them for trying.
They process orders and ship orders very fast! They have excellent email communication! Thanks

Follow-up: wrong item was dropped shipped from manufacturer. Case-Mod was outstanding at fixing the issue fast and very easily. This store is fantastic to deal with!!!
Fixing the mistake shows how important customers are to them. I highly recommend dealing with Case-Mod
