"I will try to make this article short. This People in CCi Camera City shouldn't be in this business, I don’t know why our system is allowing this company to operate like this. I spoke to several people in Camera City and ordered a camera first thru the internet and then called them because the price I saw a day before is lower with the same package. The sales man told me that package is out of stock so that's why they raise up the price, and then I ordered the more expensive package in which they added a 5 year warranty and a 28-105 mm lens and then when I check out my order the following morning I was told by the other sales man the lens in my order is not 28 -105 but a lesser value 28-80mm and Ronnie offered me another lens which is made in Japan he said the one I like actually is the 18-135 nikkor lens and he said that is Plastic , this one im offering you is made in Japan he insisted and I thought it is Nikon made in Japan but its not so, later on that day I decided to pull out my order and cancel it. Then I was routed to some people then a person spoke to me name Peter he said he is the owner of that company and asking me why Im pulling out my order well I told him that I don’t like what I am experiencing right now and then he said I still have to pay the shipping and restocking fee. I will try to make my story short because this Guy Peter said things that I never heard of on a salesman, this guy shout at me, he is so rude. I decided to go along with the sales
And the merchandise arrives a day late and the stuff that supposed to be there are there but the battery is not the one that they promised (long hours one) but that’s okay I will just buy a spare battery instead
Ive lost some days of sleep after talking with this guy PETER he is the owner he said (I think these are not their real names I think they are just making it up), I've never been humiliated like this before, and while talking to this guy Peter, I feel like hating myself letting him to say those stuff to me but because he already have my credit card number knowing that this people have issues they might do stuff that may cause inconvenience to me.
After that sales/transaction is done! I cancelled my card. I will never forget this experience and will share this to all the people I know. I just wonder who is going to stop this kind of Vendors? Does this means we are all alone in this? Are there step taken already to at least control these vendors? So this vendor CCi Camera City will still be here in years to come! Victimizing more honest living people?
All I can say now is beware and read store-reviews first before giving your credit card number.
AVOID CCi Camera City and beware that they may open up another store with different name,
thank you and again more power to the buyers.

"Beware-Bait'n'switch. I telephone when order didn't arrive. Salesperson stated that I had purchased the ‘International model’ of the camera which does not come with lens, batteries, accessories. I explained that the HVR-V1U is, in fact, the US version of the product.(European model is the HVR-V1E) He continued trying to sell me the “United States” version--for $4199. I told him that I did not appreciate this type of dishonest business practice. He became very irate and threatened to put me on their “barred customer list”. "

"I didn't make a purchase as I was emailed for confirmation of my order and to telephone them. I called and the sales man wanted my 3 digit number on my card for the sale. Then the sales man wanted to sell extras that I did not need as I had the equipment to operate the camera. Then the sales man stated that the body was from China and plastic and would sell me a magnesium body for twice the price that I was going to pay. I stated cancel the order and he did. Hopefully my card is ok. I will be watching my account daily. These guys need to be reported to the better business bureau."

"Called to confirm my order and was told that I needed to order the US version of the camera body and it was over $500 more than the one advertised. Tried to cancel the order. The customer service rep asked me to say please. I got annoyed and said, "Excuse me?" He said he wouldn't cancel the order unless I swallowed my pride and said please. When I refused, he threatened to charge me a $300 cancellation fee. I got angry and asked him to please cancel my f****ing order. Then he told me to be careful because he still has my credit card information. I was in shock and said, "Excuse me?" To which he replied, "I hope you like internet porn." and hung up on me."

"This is a scam some sort offering low price, but never deliver unless you buy outrageously overpriced accessories with it.
In 2 weeks I called and they told me the camera I ordered is not in stock and won't be another 2-3 weeks. I called then, and they told me exactly the same thing. What a scam!!!
Avoid them and write your experience for others."

"Ok. This is absolutely one of the worst scams going on in this country. At least, if you want a camera.

The worst part was not the fact that i was notified to confirm my order a week after i made it, or the fact that i was told my panasonic would take 4-6 weeks to get here, or that everything would be written in a foreign language, or that really it was just the shell of the camera, that there was no microphone attached, or any of those little details.

No, the worst thing was that when I saw for some reason my order had been canceled, and i hadn't canceled it, I called the company and was treated like dirt. I couldn't believe that the manager I talked to had the nerve to ask me if was "telling him how to do his job." I was politely explaining to him that his website was offering a product that obviously wasnt the product that the consumer was going to get. And, i mentioned that one girl told me there would be a restocking charge, and another girl told me the camera hadnt been shipped yet (strange, indeed, seeing as it had been over a week since it should have been shipped) This is ridiculous.

I made an account here so i could warn everybody....This company is a joke, and if you have any sense, you need to stay away. It's worth it to pay for the more expensive cameras.

I'm happy with myself, in that I kept this review as clean as I did...

"I am very dissatisfied with my experience. In short: they offer you false information on the website, call you up and try to sell you overpriced additional accessories, and then - in my case- they charged me more money than my confirmation invoice said. After a couple of email and phone conversations with not very nice people I send the package back without opening it and hope to be getting refunded when they get it back. The catch: They will keep the amount they charged me for shipping which is with 30$ twice as much as any other vendor of the same camera. I hope they will reimburse me when they get the package back...."

"STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!
I was subjected to the same bait and switch tactics described on earlier posts this morning and ended up paying over $300 more for a Canon Rebel xti kit. The dealer was condescending and pushy. I have yet to receive any type of order confirmation. I've had a sick feeling about this all day and decided to do a little research. That's when I found this site with all the other customers griefs. I only wish I had done the research before placing the order. I am now trying desperately to cancel my order, but am unable to get a hold of anyone at Camera City. I have contacted my bank to place a hold on the charge. I am totally freaking out, I feel so stupid. How can this type of thing legally go on? PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM CAMERA CITY!!!"

"NEVER USE!!! Order placed 1/2/07 three time I was told that my order shipped. 1/27/07 I find that they don't even have one in stock and that I could get a more expensive item. The District Manager was rude and hung up on me. Lies, lies, lies!!!"

"This is an e-mail I sent to ccicam@aol.com after experiencing and reading all the complaints against this compnay.

I am cancelling my order I placed with you on the 30th of November 2006. After waiting nearly 7 weeks for delivery I am fed up. Subsequently, after looking into your company I have discovered your fraudulent operation with the websites – CCICameraCity, InfinitiPhoto, BestPriceCameras, JandKCameras, DigitalFaze.com, GeniusCameras, Wawadigital.com, RoyalCameras, ExpressCameras, FotoConnection etc, the list goes on. I have informed my credit card company that should any charges go off my card legal steps will be taken. A case has also been open at the Bureau of Better Business and Google, on which all these sites were found, has been informed and a recommendation made to remove them from their search engine. You should be interested in what your clients have to say about your business, so go to http://www.resellerratings.com/store/CCI_Camera_City, the same ratings and dissatisfied customers can be found for each of the websites listed above.
