"Price was good, but customer service is near non-existant. Placed order with existing acct info, the system did not ask me to confirm billing and shipping addresses. Realized right away that address info was out of date and contacted buy.com via email to resolve with the new address - they don't have a contact telephone number!Slow to respond to inquiry. They got the charge through on my credit card but couldn't update the shipping address?!? So package was 'delivered' to my old address. I had to contact the new residents to help receive my package and drive 2hrs out of the way to retrieve it. Customer service response was: "it was delivered". First order was ok, nothing spectacular, but there will not be a third order."
"The absolute worst! They ship the incorrect product. You have to fight to get an RMA for their "mistake". Then they sit on your returned item for weeks. Unbelievably, instead of crediting my charge card for the return as requested, they send a replacement product for their initial mistake. They're webmail interface leaves you with no trace of your correspondence but no real human reads it anyway. We do thousand$ in annual e-tail with dozens of companies. Buy.com is the very sleaziest company company I've ever dealt with. I am taking this issue to VISA fraud."

"Purchased a Canon ip5000 printer. They sent wrong model! Returned it with RMA#. Still waiting for the ip5000. Their reaction was neutral. Replacement was shipped on 1/21/05 by USPS ground 7 to 9 days). Looks like a two month wait."
"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LOVE CHAOS & SUSPENSE.Dec 27th - placed order paid for 2 day shippingDec 31st - order status is still "sent to warehouse" called CS # - rude rep in India had no info (nor any interest). Told to wait two weeks and if haven't received to call back. Explained need item now or would not have ordered and expedited.Dec 31st - Cancelled order - was told 7 - 10 days I would get email saying if they could cancel. Asked for confirmation number - "it's same as order number" (/sigh). Dec 31st - via Buy.com website gave feedback with all details of cancellation. Got email back saying to refuse the order or I would have to pay restock fees if they shipped it anyway. Made a big sign and put on my door. Jan 9th - no communication of any kind.Worst experience I have had to date with any online order, and I do a lot of them. Communication is none existent, like the customer service. "
"They never ship the items as of 12/21/04. Submitted a lost shipment claim and waited but nothing happens. I called and got the same answers, the same promises, the same deadend. "Please wait for 3 to 5 business days Sir." that is their moto. And when trying to email them, the same moto "We wish to inform you that we have forwarded theissue to the appropriate department and you will soon receive an update in this regard."These were supposed to be Christmas gift of 2004 but I am afraid that it will be Christmas 2010 before I will get my momey back.Lousy!"

"I have to agree with all the comments being said about Buy.com. They've become pathetic in recent times. Ordered a Maxtor 80gb SATA drive on 8/6 (In Stock / 1 to 2 days) and used a coupon. Status changed to Sent to Warehouse fairly quickly. Almost 1 week later (8/12), nothing. Emailed and they basically said "under processing and has been send to ware house for fullfillment". Another email exchange (8/12), and they said "We are still working on shipping the following item(s) from order #xxxxxxxx". Emailed back (8/13) and told them cancel the order. Called to cancel just to make sure, and that's where I found out the item was back ordered (they wouldn't tell me this in my emails). Received an email (8/13) saying: "We received your cancellation request on 8/13/2004 and attemptedto cancel product #10345724 from your order. Unfortunately, this item has already entered the fulfillment process and we were unable to cancel it. We regret any inconvenience."... So I fired back basically asking what does "entered the fulfillment process" mean. That it shipped? Also said to them, you can't cancel an order for a BackOrdered item? We'll see what comes of my latest email (8/14). If it did ship, fine, but it should reflect the coupon as well. If not, it goes back."

"The point of "availability" is to list the ACTUAL availability, no? Buy.com emailed me an advertisement for a sale. They had a good price on the MP3 player I wanted to purchase, so I went to their website to purchase it. I went through the order process only to find that a day later they had canceled it because it was no longer available through them. The website still lists it as available to ship in 1-2 days. They shouldn't bother listing the availability if it's not correct. "
"I bought three items in a single order and had a price for the order with shipping of $198. They send the order out in two parts and double the shipping charge. Wrote them about it- but why do I have to? I believe they do this kind of thing to pad their profits, as people aren't apt to check their receipts closely."
"Bought an RCA DVR advertised with a $50 rebate. Arrived with NO PACKING SLIP. Since packing slip was required for rebate, I emailed them immediately, and was assured that they had contacted the rebate center on my behalf, and to submit the rebate without the packing slip. a month later, guess what, my rebate was denied because of NO PACKING SLIP. Nothing but a runaround since and still NO REBATE CHECK. Doubtful I will ever see one.DON'T BUY FROM BUY.COM!Go with Amazon.com and don't worry, be happy!"
"Just order 2 pack of Canon Photo Glossy paper. They are pretty cheap and also free shipping. Even though, the shipping I chose was supposed to be from 5-9 days, the package arrived at my house in 3 days. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work."

"I have ordered many things from buy.com in the past. They have been very reliable and generally have pretty good prices. Iv most recently ordered a dvd burner, mouse, and keyboard. The products were ordered with no problem and the shipping was only several dollars. They products came in a few days. The products were nicely packaged and the items worked very nicely. In the past i did have one defect, but that was because of the manufactorer and buy.com replaced it with no problem. I highly reccomnd buy.com and almost always look there when im out to buy something.you also may wanna check out newegg, buy.com's gotten alot worse at time has passed"
