"I couldn't believe the $199 price for the Fuji E550. I called the store and asked what the gimmick was. They said none. Came with memory card, usb cable, cradle adapter, warranty, etc. Ordered online and received an e-mail saying I needed to call to confirm order. Called and salesperson tried to sell me additional accesories. After telling him I did not want any he told me that the camera did not come with anything other than the camera, that it was an import without a warranty and would take 4-6 weeks to arrive. I told him to cancel the order. If it sounds too good to be true, it is."

"They called after I placed my order to sell me a expensive battery. They indicated order would be processed right away. I declined battery. Called next day and was told item was back ordered at least 4 weeks. The "manager" kept offering to cancel order when I complained about the back order. It seems to me to be "bait and switch". If you don't spend $100+ for their battery, then you don't get the camera. Nefer do business with these people."

"Web site inferred they had a digital camera, Canon Powershot A85 Camera at $179 in stock. No mention of a foreign shipment and that it would take several weeks to arrive. Nor was it mentioned that camera did not come with normal accompanying attachments or CDs or US warranty! "

"CAVEAT EMPTOR: THE LOW PRICE IS JUST A COME ON. THEY WILL TRY TO SELL YOU OVERPRICED EXTRAS. THE CAMERA DID NOT COME WITH A U.S.WARRANTEE AS REQUESTED, AND THE BATTERY RECHARGER WILL ONLY WORK OUTSIDE THE U.S. WHEN I CALLED TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE PROBLEM THEY LIED, STALLED AND MADE EVERY EXCUSE POSSIBLE. ULTIMATELY I WANTED TO RETURN THE CAMERA BUT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME AN RMA#. THEN THEY HUNG UP. THESE TYPE OF COMPANIES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND PULLED OFF THE INTERNET."

"I have to agree with every negative comment I have read here. I made a web order for a Fuji E550 camera at the unheard of price of $199.00 I knew I would probley have to nix some extra stuff. I got an order confirmation email in a few minutes. I called back the next day after not getting a copy of the order only that they received it. I was told that I would be getting an email in a day or 2 telling me that the order was canceled because they sold out. I asked when and was told 10am. I ordered around noon. I sent customer service an email and the next day I got an email from them apologizing and telling me to call Bxx Gxxxxxx at their number . I did but got an answering machine. I called a few hours later and again got the machine. The next day he called me and said that the camera was in stock and wanted to know who told me they were out, that was totally wrong. I told him I expected to be called about purchasing add on's but wasn't interested in any he started to question me about my camera and old cameras, I again told him I wasn't interested in add on's. He said on and hung up. I again got a thank you for the order email, but no order confirmation copy. I checked the web page and found a copy of the existing order and also found that it was canceled. I sent cust. service another email asking what was going on and to this day have heard nothing, although my order still appears."

"This retailer is a total SCAM!!! I placed an order for several pieces of video camera equipment for a shoot. I called to verify that I would have the equipment as promised (within 2 days) and got the standard "up-sell" that others have reported - no batteries come with the camera, no chargers, etc.) I said fine, send them to me, but I need to have the in-hand by Friday 2/4/05 - well, as of 4:00pm, I still haven't seen anything - not even an email from them!!! My products were delivered 2/7/05 - too late for my video shoot, but hey...at least I got my order. My gut feeling remains that these folks are engaging in slimy sales techniques at best...telling you that batteries don't come with the unit, when I found that not to be the case at several other retailers. In the end, I paid about $100 more per unit than I could've gotten them for elsewhere. My error in judgement will not happen again as I will not be ordering from Best Choice again. Caveat emptor!!!!"

"1)The camera I had no indication that it was international, not USA.
2)Their customer service harassed me until I agreed to buy extra products which they lied and said I couldn't find a better deal. The memory card they sold me was twice as high as several other places I looked.
3)They are lying about the warranty. They state that you only have a 90 day warranty, the warranty is for a full year.
4) I tried to call back and cancel the order 15 minutes after the order was placed. I was told I would have a 15% restock fee. I told them about how I was misled, they didn't care. They kept saying they only made XX amount on the deal and that I will not find a better deal. This is a lie, I found 3 different places that have better pricing. So, now I have to wait 4-5 days to get the order, turn around and request a return number, send the package back and wait 2-3 weeks for them to credit my card. I was orignally told that they would still charge me 15%, however, when I read their policy to them, they seemed to back off of this. I will bet anything they still try to add this charge."

"I won't shop here again. First thru the internet I am charged certain amount. Then later they call us to sell more stuff, and mail in rebate is disclosed at that time, thus increasing the amount. Finally the shipping charges are jumped up based on the total. They are trying to attract you by first offering a lower price - Cheaters"

"I ordered a Canon 20D last evening from their web site after calling them and confirming that the camera was in stock and that it came with the full US warrantee. I called them today to request information regarding shipping date and when I would receive a tracking number. After spending a long time on hold, I was routed to John in Customer service who put me on hold while he "got the answers to my questions". Then I was disconnected. I called back, waited on hold, and finally got John again. He apologized for disconnecting and said his "computer was down and the technician said it would be up in 5 minutes" and would I please call back in 10 minutes. I said I'd call back later. When I got home from work there was a message to call them, they had the information. I called and was told they needed to verify my shipping info. Then he was very friendly and helpful, advising me to buy a battery (it comes with the camera), a charger (also standard), an AC adapter which I didn't need, and a spare battery or an extra capacity one, all declined. He than said, "OK, that's it then. You'll have your camera in about eight weeks". I told him I had been told it was in stock. He said "It is in stock. In our warehouse in Europe. That's how long it takes to ship air freight". I asked him why it takes 8 weeks for a package and only 6 hours for a person. He said "I'm not going to argue with you. That's how long it takes." At that point I said that I wasn't interested any more and to cancel my order. He said "OK" and hung up. FOREWARNED IS FOREARMED."
