"I ordered from Beach Camera a Sony CX-110 Handycam and just love it. When I opened the box I could just see them folks walking around the store putting things in the box. What a good deal I got. But better yet, I received the box within 30 hrs, it's not even due till the end of the week! 5 days out. Thank you Beach for really great goods and service, I'll shop with them anytime.

"I blamed the Post Office and got mad at Beach Camera, but really I was to blame.

After purchasing a digital camera from Beach Camera (via Groupon), I waited (im)patiently the stated period for my order to arrive. After waiting long enough to realize it was overdue, I checked the tracking number and found it had been returned to sender for incorrect address information. Apparently, during the online ordering process, I mistakenly checked the box that said shipping and billing address were the same. I had just moved and wanted it sent to my new address.

Contacted Beach Camera (via email, told to wait for return processing which took FOREVER) and finally was able to speak with a customer service person. I thought the girl couldn't have been nicer. Despite their usual policy to refund on returns, I pleaded to reship. She agreed after verifying the correct address. I waited the stated period then received a package notice in my mail box. Great. I went on the next Saturday to pick it up only to be informed that once again it had been returned to sender for bad address info.

Seriously?! Again!?! I was a little upset and let the fine folks at Beach Camera know I was upset. By this time I was done. I waited well past the time for the return then contacted customer service. I discovered that this young lady (Caroline I believe) was even nicer. She was completely understanding and went out of her way to make me feel like it was OK. Instead of making me feel stupid (certainly no more than I already did) she assured me that many people check the wrong box and processed my refund (which came through MUCH quicker than expected).

So I didn't get my camera, but the customer service made me open to coming back. Next time I will only have one address.

I'm just off the phone with Dave Neal, Beach Camera Sales Manager, who assisted me with my initial order on 12/29/11 for the much sought after Nikon Nikkor Gold 200-400mm lens (see review below). Lens arrived on 12/30/11 as Dave had indicated (was ECSTATIC when FedEx rang my bell to deliver). However, the invoice accompanying the lens was $200 more than what was originally quoted by Dave...hence, the topic of this morning's discussion. Dave quickly researched the issue while I remained on the line and confirmed the lens price was actually $6,999.00. At one time, Beach Camera had an "open box" Nikon Nikkor 200-400mm lens and reduced that specific item by $200 dollars. That $200 discount was mistakenly entered on their system. I shared I had an email purchase confirmation including the price of $6799.00 for the lens. Dave, without hesitation, agreed to honor the discounted lens price and credit me accordingly. Again, I'm very pleased with the service received from Dave Neal specifically. Even though I reside 3000+ miles from Beach Camera, I will surely continue to utilize them for future purchases...it's simply been a very positive experience.

Earlier today (now 11:59PM PST), I had an extremely pleasant and most satisfying experience to converse with Dave Neal who aptly and efficiently assisted me in placing my first BC order to date. Dave was extremely knowledgeable about the product I was ferverishly seaching for (Nikon Zoom lens, 200-400 f/4G, AF-S, SIC, SWM, VRII) and BC's inventory. Dave expeditiously located the lens (last one in stock....although costly ($7K), it's been extremely difficult to find Nikon recommended vendors, such as BC, that have this lens in stock following the Japan sunami (which obviously affected production). Dave indicated I reached him only 8 minutes prior to the daily order cut-off for next day delivery (West Coast). As Dave indicated, shortly after my call with him concluded, I promptly received an email including my purchase confirmation number and product description. Additionally, a subsequent email followed containing my FEDEX Overnight shipment tracking number. I'm ecstatic this "highly desired" Christmas present from my spouse and kids will arrive tomorrow, 12/30, by 3:00pm....doing a private 7 hour Safari with the kids at the San Diego Zoo on Saturday (a present from Santa to the kids) and this Nikon 200-400 AF-S lens is absolutely essential for a wildlife photo hobbyist like myself. Dave Neal, YOU MADE IT HAPPEN and I'm EXCEEDINGLY grateful!!! I'm sure to repeatedly utilize BC as a result of your expertise, care and attention. "

"They did a great job. I ordered a Sony Ereader on december 20th, 2011 and it was supposed to be deliverd between january 5th and january 23th 2012. I was really surprised when I received it in december 23th. Excellent service, I live in the Netherlands and I was send from the U.S."

"Bought via Fuji camera via Groupon for wife's December birthday...lasted about 3 weeks, lens froze. Requested service, got requirement of ALL PACKAGING or you're out of luck.

If I drug around every piece of packaging for what I bought, I'd need a third garage.

BEWARE--if you chose to purchase from Beach Camera, keep all paper, boxes, UPC codes if you have any hope of customer service."

"Well, here it is Christmas morning. Joseph was pleasantly surprised with this gift. At 12-years old, he's bouncing back and forth and across from his new camera kit, the latest handheld Nintendo game and the Legos sets. He is genuinely impressed with the camera. It's already registered at Fujifilm's website and is, between bounces, planning his next stop-motion video. The FinePix is a quantum leap from the Aiptek he had been using.

I sincerely appreciate the prompt service in fulfilling this order and look forward to doing business with you again.
