"I ordered a Weber grill from this store that was priced at $177.34 + $33.76 shipping. Two hours later I get an email saying that my order will require an additional $89.99 to ship to me. I immediately canceled my order and will never do business with this store again. Classic bait and switch."

"I ordered four items - all of which were listed as being in stock - from this company on 10/24/11. One day later,I received an email stating that two of the items were not in stock and asking if I wanted to complete the rest of the order. This was after they charged my CC for the full amount of the order. I continued with the remaining two items. The first item was shipped about 3 days later and arrived without incident. The remaining items had not shipped after 8 days, so I called for a status. I was told the item was a special order and they had just received it themselves and that I should be receiving it by the end of the week. Well, one week later, I finally have the item. They must have shipped by osmosis, as the entire delivery process took 9 days to travel 600 miles. I could have driven there and back faster.

During this whole process communication was nonexistent. I had to specifically ask - twice - for a refund of the cost of the items which were not in stock when I placed the order and that took more than a week to be refunded. I agree completely with another reviewer in that they need to get out of the Internet sales business. They are one of the worst retailers I've ever used and I would never use them again, even if it costs me more money."

"Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered a case of pool toys (cost: $33.28 plus $16.18 shipping). They e-mailed me the next day to indicate that it would cost an additional $59.99 to ship the case of toys. Outrageous! When I called to ask why they couldn't honor the price they advertised, they said that the case of toys is large and bulky, and cost extra. Um, shouldn't they know the dimensions and weight of the items they sell? Shouldn't they be able to accurately estimate the shipping cost at the time of the order like any other reputable web seller? When I pointed this out to the customer service rep, she had nothing to say. I canceled my order and will order through Amazon -- which offers free shipping -- once my refund is finally processed. What a waste of my time! This company needs to get its act together."

"Ordered a product on 1/14/2012 that cost $33.28 and was quoted $19.53 for shipping. Received a confirmaiton email for the order on 1/15/2012. Received another email on 1/16/2012 demanding another $9.99 for shipping because the product was "oversized". Called "Customer Service" and spoke with a very rude young woman who continually insisted that I pay another $9.99 before they would ship my product. I asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold for 10 minutes. The Customer Service rep came back on and said that the manager was in a meeting and asked if there was anything she could do. I explained that I wanted her to waive the $9.99 fee and ship my product. She refused and I again demanded to speak with a manager. A manager finally came on, ruder than the CS rep, and refused to do anything useful. I told her to cancel the order, but also informed her that I would file a complaint with the BBB. She said that would be fine and hung up.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEB SITE!!!"

"Placed an order Dec. 6, sent a note on Dec. 11 and did not hear anything or get news of a shipment. Called on dec. 29 and was told that our order had been cancelled. Was told that they sent a cancellation note, but we never saw it."

"I selected a list of items and the shipping seemed a bit high but the order had a lot of items so I ordered anyway. I got an email the next day with a list of item numbers that were not available. More than half my order was unavailable! When I asked for a new invoice with an updated shipping quote it took 11 days and several emails to get the updated invoice and the shipping cost the same as it had been for the original order (now almost as much as the items cost.) My credit card was charged an extra $63 beyond the total on my emailed receipt. I cancelled the order and I'll look somewhere else."

"The absolute worst on line shopping experience I've ever had. Other than confirming my order and debiting my credit card, I have not heard a word from them. I know the item I ordered will not arrive by Christmas. In fact, I have no idea when it will arrive. I tried to talk to someone in management and was told they were gone for the holidays. Complete losers. Don't order from them. "

"misrepresentation of pricing! Scrupulous, Unethcial Business Practices - Don't Buy From This Place!

Placed order - paid for order and prscribed shipping - received an email the next day stating that I would have to pay them additional money for shippping - cancelled order!"

"On 12/3/11, I place an order for a gorilla cart for my Dad for Christmas. I received email confirmation of my order and my credit card was immediately charged ($157.58). However, after two weeks, I had not received any type of correspondance related to shipping or item backorder. So, I sent an email to the support address provided with the original message. I received no response. On 12/20/11, I contacted the customer service department and was told that my order was cancelled. When I asked for an explanation as to why it as cancelled I was hung up on. I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor. I asked why I was not informed that my order had been cancelled. The so-called supervisor treated me so rudely and essentially told me that she was too busy to answer my questions. I will NEVER do business with this company again."

"Bad on line retailer. Placed an order they four days later they sent an email stating that it would be freight would be double. I called the number on the email a few times but the person answering quickly just stated to "Please hold" and I got stuck there for quite a minutes. Hanged up called back again and I was simply transferred to mail box two. Consequently I cancelled my order and reordered from another business. I also went to ups and a quick quote which came in at about the same as the original charge before this business doubled my freight. I would like to use use vulgar negative superlatives but I did not in fear this would not get published. I would, without a doubt, not recommend this business at all. "

"I ordered a Dyson Dc35 vacuum from these people on 25 Nov. They charged me that day, according to my credit card statement. 5 days later, I received 3 different emails stating that this was a special order, and that there were additional shipping/handling charges, resulting in additional charges (approx $11.00) I tried calling them several times over the next few days, got put on hold numerous times, or it was never answered. I finally reached someone today, who said that it was backordered, that it would be several more weeks, but that I wouldn't have to pay the additional charges. I decided to cancel my order and get my money back. Based on my research into their seller ratings, my frustration over them charging me for something that they said was in-stock, when it wasn't, their attempted extortion of additional charges, their poor customer service, and my lack of faith in their adhering to their obligations as a credit card merchant, I would be very wary about ordering from these people. We'll see how quickly they refund my money, since they were very quick at getting the charged amount the same day of the order...why do I have a funny feeling that won't be the same situation on the refund? Ace Hardware is a coop, not a franchise type operation, but the main group should really look at getting rid of this operator."

"They charged my credit card, now they want an additional $9.99 before they will process my order. This is on top of all other shipping and handling fees. Tried to cancel via email, no response.

"I placed this order on 11/25/2011, it is 12/1 now and my item still hasn't shipped. I called them the last 3 days and their response is, it will go out today. The LAST 3 days I called they kept saying the same thing! Today I just called and she said the same thing again, it will go out today. There is nothing else that needs to be shipped, it will go out today. IT IS THE WORST ever to get my order processed and shipped if it will ever. and it cost me over $12 to ship?? INSANE if you ask me. If i had it shipped immediately i wouldn't mind so much but if you are going to take over a week to even ship the item, it is totally unacceptable. Do not order from them unless if you have all the time in the world to wait for your item.

UPDATED: 12/9/2011 - still received NOTHING~!"

"This place is a JOKE! Not a funny one either. I order six canisters of denatured alcohol from Ace Hardware Superstore. Was given a confirmation and told it had been shipped. Two weeks later, when I hadn't heard anything I called into the store to find out where my order was. They told me it had been canceled, because the item listed on the website was no longer available. No apologies or can we substitute for a like item, nothing. The guy on the phone was some Guido jersey shores sounding apathetic and rude jerk. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS STORE!"
