I ordered once from them a year ago, and they were OK. I ordered again from them this month, and experienced disorganization and disaster.
But there is hope! Simply realize that you can get the same exact price from Adobe's company web site, and deal with competent and caring customer support. You need to deal with Adobe anyway in order to get a serial number to unlock your student/teacher edition, so why not just order from them in the first place, do it all in one step, and save yourself hassle."
"Simply HORRIBLE customer service. I wanted to purchase four copies of MS Office for my students. Had to wait on hold for 1/2 hour to speak to someone (with a bad accent) who told me that I couldn't have four copies....would I like to change it to one?. Wait a minute, I have FOUR students. No one I spoke to could actually help me. Seriously, save yourself trouble and go over to studentdiscounts.com. Very nice and worked with me to figure out what they needed as far as identification for my students."
"STAY AWAY! These guys are unreliable and you will never be able to get to them, email or otherwise. We were trying to purchase a camera for our child's photography class use. We provided all our payment information and after a week of waiting for confirmation of shipment, our order number still indicates the order in process!!! We called, we emailed and did everything we could and not a word from Academic Superstore. They are either a scam or they are going out of business, so be very careful if you do have to order from them. We actually ended up at Best Buys and got an even better price, so check before you go to these guys."
"I am very dissapointed with Acedemic Superstore. I payed extra money to have my products sent to me overnight. I did not receive my product overnight, so I tried to contact somebody and nobody answered or replied to my emails. I want to know why i havent received my products, ide like my money back for shipping, and noticed 2 of the 5 items are still 'processing' not happy."

Then I paid for overnight shipping, with the understanding they need to verify my status as a student, my order was placed on Tuesday and it's Friday! Called their customer service - my order has been sent to the shipper but she has no clue when it will actually be shipped! REGARDLESS if I paid $19.50 for overnight shipping!!

I have ordered the new Microsoft package (the download version) from them on 12/10 and still have not received the link to download it! I had called a few weeks ago to see what exactly what I needed to do to get "verified" so when my new laptop came in, there wouldn't be a problem downloading the program. I was told that if my school was listed, then there wouldn't be a problem with my "verification" and that I didn't need to send anything in after all. Upon questioning the customer service about this, she again reiterated that everything would be fine, and that as soon as my computer came in, I'd be able to automatically download the program after the purchase. WRONG!!!! I've been waiting for going on 3 days now for them to "Verify" my order and "Process" my order. When I called customer service to see exactly what was going on, I spoke to a VERY RUDE gentlemen that basically blamed ME for the miscommunication on my order. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that I couldn't "because they were too busy, and there is no one else". SERIOUSLY!!! This company is a RIP OFF and their customer service is AWFUL! I've honestly never been spoken to like that by a customer service representative before. I will NEVER use this company again for any future services. Oh, I should receive the link for my download "sometime today, possibly tomorrow"...we'll see!!"
