"These guys are just great. Got sooo much more for my money than ordering a computer from Dell (no unwanted bloatware installed either). I got ALL the things I wanted and nothing I didn't want. In two weeks my new fab custom desktop arrived at my door and it's run like silk since the moment I plugged it in. What a pleasure!
For my minor questions, they responded immediately and helpfully. I also have a friend who has ordered two computers from them and is also very pleased.
Highest quality experience, will definitely use AVADFirect again next time. Loving my new desktop!"

"This company is excellent. They take a modest profit after the cost of parts, but they assemble & ship the computer fantastically well. When I ordered my machine, I considered building it myself to save $200+. However, when I received the machine and saw the care and skill with which they assembled it, I felt that the extra cost was well worth it. If you're like me & are considering the possible benefits of a "botique" shop versus Dell or HP, et al, I'd strongly recommend these people.

My experience was that I had to wait several weeks to receive my machine. I knew this from other reviews, so it was ok. But, I'd have preferred to receive it a little faster.

I've had no experience thus far with tech support."

"I ordered a computer from AVA on 1/26/13. The computer came about 10 business days after the purchase.

A+ Hardware: All hardware was installed and seated perfectly!
A+ Software: OS installed with no bloatware. Drivers installed in a folder on the desktop. Performance/benchmarks installed in a folder on the desktop.
A+ Packaging: Computer shipped with tight packaging. All extra parts, manuals shipped with PC.

I've bought computers from almost all of the major manufacturers and I can honestly say this is the best setup going on the market for the money. Could I build this box myself and save a few $$? Sure - but they did just as good a job as I would have done so I can spend my time doing the other things I enjoy. Thanks AVA I <3 you!

As of 3/17/13 my box is still running perfectly without any issues."

"First, let me say that AVADirect is a fabulous company to do business with. They are very professional and easy to work with. This is my 2nd system I have configured and ordered through AVADirect. My 1st system (purchased in 2009) is my everyday computer for home use. The 2nd system is the one I just configured and AVADirect built. During the configuration, you are presented with every component a PC could have (i.e. motherboard, CPU, case, memory, etc). And each component has vast number choices to select from; ranging from color, capacity, manufacturer, cost, etc. For example, there are well over 50 different power supplies to select from. Joe Mundy responded to every question, comment, and concern that I had, no matter how trivial it was and the response was usually within a few hours at the most. I explained to Joe that this PC was a college graduation gift for my step-son and will be used for video editing. I told Joe the budget that I was working with and asked him what changes he would suggest on the PC I configured. He told me that the PC was configured well for what it will be used for. I was well under budget and he didn’t just add things to increase the cost. This alone tells me that they care for the customer and not just maximizing profits. That is why I’m a repeat customer.
I haven’t seen a PC build this clean in all my life. When I opened the case to look inside, I had to look for cables/wires. They are routed along the bottom edge of the motherboard and/or tied down out of sight. This not only is not only visually appealing, but allows the air to flow un-impeded through the case. The PC is also extremely quiet. You can tell that while the PC was being built, the utmost attention to detail was given. Every manual, CD, cable, etc that was remaining or used during the build, is sent to you along with the PC. All of this was in the box the motherboard was in. That’s an excellent way to show you that the components you purchased were used in your build and they didn’t pull the ol’ “bait and switch”. The even sent me the tube that the CPU paste was in and it had a little bit left in it. I am extremely happy with AVADirect. They not only have a repeat customer in myself, but I tell everyone I know that is in the market for a PC about my experiences with AVADirect and highly recommend them.

"I have been building a PC based-recording studio in my home. I quickly realized that I would need to upgrade my PC to something more powerful to fully utilize the software needed to perform all of the tasks involved.

In doing my research, I discovered that there were many companies out there that will build a custom computer for you (at a custom price!). I finally decided on AVA Direct. While renouned for building awesome gaming PCs, their huge selection of components, coupled with their user-friendly menus and reasonable prices, made it possible to truly build a quality system tailored specifically to my needs. Through their invoice messaging system, I was able to stay in direct communication with them during the build and burn in stages. They responded immediately upon my request to upgrade RAM even though my order was already in process! Packaging and delivery service was first class. My sweet wife liked my recording PC so much that she decided that she needed a PC of her own! I know exactly where her computer will come from... AVA Direct!!"

"This is my first custom computer and I was a little overwhelmed at first. The web site is very impressive but, the icing on the cake was the professional and knowledgeable customer service representative. His insight and expertise enabled the right adjustment to my order to make this a truly exceptional machine. It has exceeded my wildest expectations!! Well done!!"

"I totally love my experience with AVA Direct Custom Computers. I am a novice at doing this and was very skeptical of online business in today's world, but they advised and guided me through building what I needed and wanted without having to buy a lot of things I didn't need. They have an awesome contact system and their response to questions is never more than 24 hours. I have asked questions since receiving my computer and their response has been the same. I would buy through this company again and would recommend it to anyone looking to get a new computer."

"I love being able to customize a computer for my needs. AVADirect makes it easy and offers endless choices. The new machine gets assembled, burned in, then packaged and shipped (an unbelievable pack job!). Everything about the purchase was excellent - don't change a thing."

"My 2nd build with AVADirect and they've come through both times. in this case I made an error in the order (picked the wrong case) and they corrected it for me no questions asked even though it would move the price down.

Can't recommend them highly enough"

"I ordered a custom pc from ava direct, the folks were very kind and helped me with everything i needed, we did ran into some delay issues but they compensated with upgrading my gpu. The pc arrived in good conditions, and i had no trouble at all with the shipping.
And yes they asked kindly if i could write this review, but do not let that discourage you I liked them so much i made an account just to write this."

"I am very satisfied with the PC I got from AVADirect. I did not know exactly what I wanted when I started my search. It was obvious (and still is) from their websites that I was not going to find it from Dell or HP. I could tell I was getting close when I first visited the AVADirect website with its multitude of choices and detailed info about each option. It was the combination of the website and helpful advice from an AVADirect salesperson which got me on the right track. What was the best Digital Audio Workstation I could get which would fit into a certain space? He showed me that a dual processor system would be too big. I then selected a motherboard, CPU, RAM, and SSDs. He completed the design with power supply, cooling fans, and a Corsair tower case which I never would have found and now would not want to be without. In short, this was a great learning experience."

"I was extremely impressed with the quality of the build of my custom PC. My total cost (ex shipping)was $101 more than what all the individual components would have cost at a low-cost competitor. If I had tried to build the computer myself it would have taken me 6+ hours and the result would not have been nearly as well-executed. For only $101, AVA's service is a phenomenal deal by comparison. And their website blows away all the other custom PC builders in terms of options and price. It can be a little hard to navigate but that's reasonable given the variety of choices. Overall I was extremely impressed with my experience and look forward to being a repeat customer."
