"I tried to contact ASUS about a problem with the P4G8X Deluxe Mother Board that is installed in my PC. I called customer support, someone told me that they were very busy and that someone would call me back, I gave him my phone number but they never called back. I then logged a trouble report via their email support, it took 4 days before I finally got a response back. This is not good customer service, I don't think I will be dealing with this company in the future."

"I can't believe the other posts in here. Wait, yes I can!
I have received no less than INFERIOR service from ASUS.
I purchased an A8V that fried (3), yes, THREE high-end graphics cards...turns out it was a dodgy resistor on the motherboard.
When inquiring about ASUS replacing the cards, they tell me "we will not replace any non ASUS products" and a pathetic 'sorry about your luck' email.
I am no longer an ASUS fan. Hey, seems Abit and MSI have good boards competing with ASUS... hmmm...
edit: after reading what I just said, I'd like to be able to give them a score of LESS than 0 or Poor, but I can't, so NEGATIVE 1000 & DEMERIT!!!!"

"I bought the ASUS dual XEON PC-DL deluxe motherboard at www.compu-terra.com
This store does not give any service and totally rely on the service delivered by ASUS.

Asus helped me with the defective (DOA) motherboard.
They are very hard to get on the telephone and do not have a toll free number.
Why do you not have a toll free number and also a long waiting line on the phone? So you are using your customers and personnel at the same time?

My telephone bill was kind of high last month. I had to wait 40 minutes in one of the calls to get connected. Later I found out that I could also call the server-board department since I had a dual processor MB. I was lucky, since this department was much better and faster. Also email seems to work as soon as you have received one. In this department everything was positive. The Motherboard was replaced in one day, No extra costs involved. Great company, great knowledge and service but need to improve communication and reach-ability especially on the normal helpdesk department.

"Asus makes good motherboards, but their customer service is poor. There were very long wait times to get in touch with somebody, and I still am waiting on RMA instructions despite several calls to their returns department. I would not recommend buying motherboards from this manufacturer."

"I bought an ASUS A7N8X-X from another reseller, but I called ASUS tech. support for help troubleshooting boot-up. I called them, long distance, several times only to be put on hold for no less than 15 minutes each time. In the end, they got my phone number and name and said they would call me back everytime, but they never did (it's three days later now). I finally figured out the problem (set the main hard drive jumper to CS instead of MASTER), and they never helped. Expect to wait a long time (i.e., days) for technical support from these guys."

"I had to RMA my A7N8X Deluxe due to the BIOS dying. I received my replacement board and IT TOO is bad. I have been emailing, filling out on-line requests for assistance and calling ASUS RMA dept. for 3 solid days now with no applicable results other than getting madder by the min. I have spent well over 4 hours total on hold time and have been disconnected/cut-off after 30 mins of being on hold 3 times. The woman that answers the phone in the RMA dept. tells me that I can ONLY deal with one person " Aaron Neil " to resolve my problems or replace my board. After no less than 10 voice mails left for this gentleman I have not received a reply as of yet..and truethfully I don't expect to. I filed a complaint with the BBB ( for whatever good that will do ) and the BBB has them listed with unsatisfactory business practices and numerous " no replies " to other customers problems/ request for assistance.

$190 plus $15 shipping costs back to them down the drain I feel."

"ASUS has great products, but the worst customer service. It took me an entire month to get an RMA number from them for my motherboard that failed. I'm still waiting on even hearing where the process is. Meanwhile, my business is suffering due to the server outage that was running on that board. Any email sent always took exactly five business days to receive a response. I purchased ASUS products for their reliability, but if they can't support their customers, they aren't reliable at all. I won't be purchasing ASUS products ever again. "
