"I put my order threw with these guys and after reading acouple of bad reviews i started getting a little scared, so i gave them a call they assured me the item was in stock and that i was gonna get my camera in 3 days, sure enough i got my camera exactly 3 days later.
Now normally i dont write reviews but i feel bad for these guys theyre not as bad as some of these reviews turn out to be and if you think about it most people write bad reviews over good reviews.
Whatever all i know is i got my camera, its great, and im gonna keep doing business with these guys again!"

"they are liars. i ordered the camera and like all reviews say they tried to sell me on a battery because they said the camera came with a one time use battery which is a lie, then after i said no they said i had to purchase 25 dollars in shipping insurance. they told me my total way 35 above what it said online and i canceled my order and the rep HUNG UP ON ME...lowest prices before they try to SCAM YOU be very careful of this site"

"I tried to order a Canon SX 200 IS. After placing the order, they said they could not fill it until I called them. I knew what was going to happen next. They said the camera was missing some things such as a battery! The prices they gave were outrageous. The $260 camera priced out as $470. I cancelled the order and ordered from Amazon - and ended up paying over $100 less for the camera and memory. Don't deal with these people!"

"Buying (actually, trying to buy) from Needfordigital has been absolutely the worst purchasing experience in my whole life. I finally canceled my order on 9/7 after placing it on 8/16. Granted they were having some technical difficulties at the time of my ordering, and had a banner on their website stating as such, but they never contacted me to update me on order status, they left me dangling on hold many times, they were not even remotely friendly and certainly never apologized for three weeks of nothing. Even after fixing their technical problems they still gave me the runaround for a week before I finally had enough. I called three times over the span of the last week after being told their technical difficluties were solved and each time my camera had not shipped. The first two times I called, about three days apart, I was told the camera would ship the next day. It never did. Then, the day I decided to give up, they told me that the order had not been handled yet! THEN, I told them I was canceling and I was told that I had to cancel through my damn credit card company!!! He said that their system was down and he couldn't handle my #$%^& refund!!! Stay away from these incompetent idiots!"

"I was lookng for a Canon SX 110 and found this site to have the lowest price, although their shipping charges were very high at $25 (just a state away) the total was still lower than most other places. After placing the order on line I immediately received an email saying: In Order to Expedite your order please contact our processing dept with you order number in hand at your earliest convenience, So that we can process your order and ship this out right away.
Please Note:
All orders are subject to final approval by our customer service dept.We may contact you regarding adjustments to your order, including but not limited to tax and shipping insurance, which you will be informed of prior to billing.
The charges at this point may not be final, Depending on your location you will be
charged an insurance rate. You will receive your final statement (receipt)with the arrival of your package.The Reason that we can offer such low prices is because we are a direct
importer/wholesaler. For this reason some items offered on our website may not come with the retail display box and may be packaged/box differently. That right there scared me.
So I called the number and after what seemed like forever I get a live person on a very bad connection (like tin cans and a string). He explains the reason I needed to call was to verify the delivery zip code,that they sometimes get tranposed. And, yes the zip code he repeated to me was wrong. BOGUS---just a reason to get you on the phone push accessories etc. So he then proceeds to ask me if I knew that a special memory card is needed for Canon camera's. I did not and never heard such a thing. I asked him to cancel the order and he said he would, I asked for a cancellation verfication number and he told me it would be emailed to me within 24 - 36 hours, which never happened. I also emailed them to be sure the order was cancelled since the had my credit info - no response. I would definitely stay away - besides their tactic's there is the fine print in the order verification email regarding added insurance charges and not coming in the retail box. I would not trust at all. Dell has a great price and free shipping. I ordered on Sunday and received on Tuesday - no hassels.

"I ordered a canon sd790is, in stores goes for 269 , need4digital had it for $100 less plus the shipping so saved a total of $75 , ordered it on monday got it on friday.
Cool guys, will def order from them again"

"I've been searching for the canon xsi for a while now and ive seen a couple of low prices as cheap as 225 and this camera retails for about 650 so i knew that something had to be wrong, i saw need 4 digital there price was 429, obviously not as cheap as the other company but realistic , so i took a shot and i guess i got lucky finding them because right off the bat i got a free gift for ordering with them("free tripod,cleaning kit and screen protector"), now the tripod wasn't anything special just one of those little ones but hey it was free , of course i got the hard upsell but now adays can u blame any1 for trying to make an extra buck, i told the guy that i had the previous model and that i was upgrading he understood and told me to have a nice day and that i should get it within a week or so.
To be honest i didnt think i was gonna get it but 3 days later i see a package at my door "need4digital" i felt like alittle kid opening up his presents on christmas morning lol, i opened and there it was, finally i got my camera, the exact price of the bill $453.99 just like they promised, i felt like it was my duty to go and write a good review for these guys they deserve it!
After this experience im gonna do my christmas shopping here."

"I was nervous about buying from need4digital.com since it was of the lowest priced sites around and I had never heard of them before. But I have to say, I was extremely impressed with their service and knowledge. They even called me to verify my order after I placed it which I thought was a great thing with so much fraud going around. Even better, the price dropped on the camera the same day I ordered it and when I called them, they gave me the lower price without me having to ask for it. I am extremely pleased by their service and will most definitely order from there again."

"Finally, the first camera company that allowed me to purchase what i called in to buy. i wasnt psuhed in any other direction and even though i declined to buy the accessories, i still received my camera as promised on time at the advertised price with all included accessories that were original from the company.

EXCELLENT COMPANY TO WORK WITH!"

"I usually dont post reviews but In this case i am making an exception. If you need any electronics you must buy it from need 4 Digital. The most friendly customer service, and the product came in perfect, ontime as promised. They even threw in an extra Battery Case.

Beats the hell out of Best Buy or any Other company. "

"These guys get bad marks from me.

I ordered a camera online on Saturday. This is a discontinued camera that is hard to find. It retails for $299 but the only places who have it in stock are selling it for $399.

These guys listed it for $299. Great. I placed the order and never received a confirmation email. I called on Monday to confirm the order and the guy has my order but claims it's for a 'wholesale' package that doesn't include a battery or battery charger. Tries to sell them to me for an extra $40.

Nothing on their site mentioned wholesale packaging. The retail package of course includes those items. I've been looking for this item for a long time and nowhere is it available in 'wholesale packaging' whatever that means.

I have no idea whether the guy was lying about the packaging to try to sell me an extra charger/battery, or whether they have a gray market camera. It's not worth the possible savings to buy from them and risk getting a camera from overseas or off the back of a truck without the manufacturer's warranty. The guy was very abrupt, borderline rude and did not inspire confidence.

Be very careful when dealing with these guys.

7/28/09: I found out 'wholesale' means gray market overseas products that don't have a warranty. If you order from these guys, make sure of what you're getting.

"Found this website using bizrate.com cheap reliable no games I called in about a nikon camera and I wasn't pushed to buy any other accessories Jake the sales rep was very nice and he even upgraded me for free next day shipping at no cost I would definitly buy from this company again !!!!!!"

"I thought i would share my experience because i honestly dont understand the negative comments i read. After seeing the unbelievable prices on the Need for Digital Website. I called in to confirm they were real (as i have been burned by bait and switch stores in the past who just try to push you to by things you dont need). I Called in and spoke to a nice gentleman named Jeremy at extension 238 and voiced all my concerns to him. He assured me everything was brand new and factory sealed, not refurbished or b-stock, or a demo model. He also assured me it was an Original Nikon USA D300 not an overseas grey market product. And so i ordered a Nikon D300 Body. I also asked him several questions on different lenses as well as the appropriate memory card for the camera. He answered all my questions and was extremely informative. He also gave me discounts off the web site price on the Nikon 18-105 Lens and the 4 gigabyte memory card. I placed the order on june 3rd late in the afternoon and asked him if i could get it by the 5th with the overnight shipping. He told me he could still get it out that day and have it to me by the morning, and only charge me for 3 day shipping and upgrade me for no additional charge to Overnight shipping. As promised i received the camera package the next morning just as he described. It was a brand new factory sealed USA Nikon D300 with all the manufacture supplied accessories. It was the same case with the Nikon 18-105 VR Lens and the 4gb memory card. I am so pleased at how professional and honest the representative Jeremy was, and how quickly he got it out to me. The whole transaction showed me that there are still some honest merchants out there and i am happy to say that any time i buy any electronics in the future it will be from Need For Digital"
