"It took me 2 days to receive a book that was only 30 minutes away from me. How does that work out?
Furthermore, the book I was promised was supposedly in "very good" condition on the "quality" scale. It was $1.93 more expensive than the others, so I went ahead and purchased it, believing that the quality would be better than the others that stated wear and tear, written on pages, etc.
When I opened the box, boy, was I wrong. There were Sharpie marks outside/ inside the cover, and a "To _______ (name omitted), January 1977 for reading the most books". No where in the comments did it state there would be all these writings and blacked out words throughout. The cover is torn and ripped.
While I'm not upset over the quality of the book (since it is an older novel), I am disappointed that I was promised a "very good" quality book with no markings, tears, etc., but received otherwise."

"Avoid textbooks.com because of bad shipping services.

Avoid this site because they have very bad shipping and and top of that customer support is no willing to help.

My book was kept at the same location/city by shipping company (DHL) and finally handed over to another shipping company USPS. USPS miss routed it.

I asked customer support to find out why DHL not moved my book for 5 days they replied that you have to wait 10 business days and if it will not be delivered then they will ship another copy. That's not expected. i already missed 2 classes because of this delay.

"Horrible customer service. My books never came! They said they will re-ship. How does that help me get my assignments in? No refund! Will never buy here again!!!"

"Complete debacle! I ordered 3 items, one of which was coming from Barnes and Noble. I asked for ground shipping which would give me plenty of time to receive the books for class. However the book from B&N never arrived. When I inquired, customer service basically told me that it was not their problem they didn't have a tacking number and I should contact B&N, and since my book was to come from them I needed to allow for 6-18 days for arrival. My feeling is YOU took my money for the service YOU offered and YOU should be able to assist and not push the blame to another. After speaking with B&N I learned that my book isn't due to ship for 25 days! Needless to say class has started and I won't have my book for more than 3 whole weeks. Completely unacceptable on both parties. Buy books somewhere else, or be prepared to allow a month for delivery in some cases."

"Received extremely fast shipping and an excellent book. Saved significantly over what other sources were charging. Will definitely use them again. Odered late on a Tuesday night and had the book in hand by the following Thursday morning, using their one-day shipping option."

"DO NOT ORDER BOOKS FROM THIS COMPANY! They are horrible. Not only do you wait and wait and wait to hear from them regarding your order, but when you call customer service they "transfer" you everywhere else but to the right person in order to get your issue resolved. They use their algorithm of "Sorry to hear about your problem" or "Let me transfer you to a supervisor" only to get hung up on. They do business with some really shady companies as well. After we ordered a set of books for the SECOND time (due to the fact that the first seller sold the books I had bought)I had paid expedited shipping and 2 days later I heard nothing from the seller, marketplace or textbook.com. So we called textbook.com they transferred us to market place who then told us it's a sellers issue and as we tried to get a hold of the seller we couldn't because we didn't have a calling card. They weren't even IN COUNTRY!!! So after 2 hours of phone calls and being on hold and getting transferred and retransferred we told them we would like to cancel the order. They said they couldn't because they already shipped. So needless to say I was pissed and told them that I would be returning the books as soon as they got here. Hopefully we get the refund. 300 bucks is a lot of money. The kicker is that after all of this we magically got an email from marketplace with a tracking number. Well, I won't even accept the package and UPS can ship it back at the cost of the seller and then they can give me my money back. I'd rather pay an extra 20 bucks for my books at a local bookstore and know that I'm getting what I ordered when I ordered them. Sorry for the rant!"

"Do not use this company. I ordered my sons college books. They sent books with their own ISBN stickers which were the correct numbers ordered but on the wrong books. The ISBN stickers were on incorrectly! A huge mistake that is hard to discover until you learn the hard way. POOR customer service!!"

"The seller that I purchased a book from was dishonest and did not disclose the right information about the product. He/she said that the book was a hardcover when it was in fact a loose leaf edition. I would not recommend this website to anybody."

"I also got defrauded by this company. This company may be involved in racketeering. They will post very low prices, take your money, let you wait a long time since their prices are very low, maybe invest all the money they've pooled from our orders. and then refund after 3 weeks - 2 months. The police authorities or the FBI should look into this."
