Sold three books to them and it was a flawless and painless transaction. It was really easy to lookup the books by ISBN number and get a quote too. Then I printed the prepaid UPS label, packed up all my books in a nice box using plastic bags and torn out pages from an old phonebook, stuck the UPS label on the box, and dropped the package off at a nearby UPS location. I shipped the books on Jan 27 and had my check by Feb 9th. Got emails from them every step of the way so I knew what was going on with my buyback. No funny business with these guys, they paid me exactly what they said they would pay me. This was SOOO much better than getting screwed over at the local textbook shop. Way to go Textbooks.com, I will be telling my friends!

I purchased a used book - Organizational Behavior. All went well until the buyback time came. I sent the book back using the mailing instructions that were given to me, and the book was in the same condition that I received it in.  
 
Textbooks.com advised me that the book had water damaged and they would not reimburse me. After some phone calls back and forth, I gave a credit card for the 12.50usd to send my book back. This was deducted from my account on 1/9/09. Today is 1/28/09 and I have still not received my book. I called yesterday, and I spoke to Helene, and Daniel. On two different occasions these two employees advised me the person handling my account was not at their desk. In addition, I asked to speak to a supervisor but I was only placed in voicemail.I did leave a voicemail but I am still awaiting a reply.  
If my staff offered this type of customer service to our clients, it would be considered bad service!

I placed an order for a book on 8/02/2008, and was given a confirmation number. The item note said the book would ship within 24 hrs. I heard nothing from Textbooks.com for 2 weeks. I sent an email to Customer Service and did not receive a reply; I only received a copy of my original email. On 8/15 I finally phoned the company and was told that the book I ordered was not available. It would have been nice if they had told me this when I placed my order or shortly thereafter. Instead I was never even contacted by them and left wondering what happened to my order. This was my first experience with textbooks.com and it will also be my last.

I ordered a used textbook, it was the best price I could find on the web for this textbook plus the shipping was free. The book arrived exactly when they said it would and it was in great shape, no marks on the book at all. Would order again in a second.

Excellent service - I ordered from them several books, and all came in excellent condition - much better than expected. For my second order, made on Sept. 4th, 2007, I had a couple problems, but customer service helped me out within 3 days - much faster and much more helpful than I expected them to be. My third order, made through Barnes and Nobles' website, was the most surprising - the textbook came in perfect condition, although listed as "used". I will definitely buy from them again.

I purchased a book from this company through www.bn.com, and was thrilled to find out that textbooks.com shipped the book the next day. It arrived today in excellent condition, even though it was billed as used. Additionally, the book was priced lower than a used copy at my school bookstore-- including shipping. It's wonderful to experience a company that ships promptly and according to the estimated delivery times listed on their website. Thank you, textbooks.com! I'll gladly keep ordering from you in the future.

Awesome experience. Ordered a used book late and got it just in time for the Spring quarter. "Used" book was like new quality! Would definitely do it again
