"I purchased Socket Bluetooth GPS receiver and was sent an inferior model and not the one that I ordered. When I called about the problem, they just offered a refund.

UPDATE: Initially they just offered a refund and no apology. After pressure from several customers, they agreed to send the better model by paying an extra $34 (which apparently was a substantially reduced price). They also paid shipping on the new model and return shipping of the old one.

They apologized for an honest mistake and made amends. The initial response was unsatisfactory and the subsequent one much better. I do wonder if they would have fixed things without the pressure that several customers brought to bear on management. Customer service agents who receive calls needs to be more customer-focused."

"I placed an order with Next Day Shipping from this company for an item that I needed by the next day. Despite all the payment information being correct, they called my phone and left a message saying they needed me to call back to confirm the order. I was unavailable to do so until after their business hours, so my order was not shipped same-day as promised. Now I won't receive it in time and I'll have to go through the hassle of canceling the order.

Why do none of the reputable resellers require the phone call? I suspect it was going to be an attempt to sell over-priced accessories.

I will stay away from Expansys in the future."

" I ordered a 3-pack of stylus for my HP Jornada 720 handheld computer from Mobile Planet (also known as eXpansys.com) to use as spares in case I lost my original. When they arrived the problem was immediately apparent.

The styli I received were over an inch shorter than my original stylus , and too small in diameter to fit in the stylus bay of my Jornada without falling out. My original stylus has a pocket clip that served to lock the stylus to the computer, but the Mobile Planet styli had simple nubs instead of a clip and were completely non-functional either as a pocket clip or to lock the stylus in the stylus bay on the computer. In fact, comparing the styli I received to the pictures on Mobile Planet’s webpage, they were completely different. And yet the sticker on the simple plastic bag the styli were packaged in read “eXpansys Jornada 720 Stylus Pack’.

So I got an RMA# from Mobile Planet and returned the styli for a refund. Since the problem was all theirs either in mislabeling or misrepresenting their product, I requested a refund of my return shipping as well. After waiting 30 days for them to “inspect” my return I received a refund for the original order amount, but not my return shipping. Looks like I’ll have to contact my credit card company and see if I can start a dispute. Luckily I did screen captures of Mobile Planet’s webpage showing the styli I ordered, and took some digital pictures of what I received, hopefully these will expedite getting a refund."

"Well, I have to be the devil's advocate here because I have nothing but facts to prove that expansys.ca (same company as mobileplanet) did a decent job. They had the RTX 3088 skype phone that I had been looking for and they delivered it before Christmas! It said 4-5 business days on their website, I ordered it Wednesday, 19th and got it the following Monday morning, the 24th. Wow, I was impressed especially after reading some of the former reviews.
Just a note, I phoned their customer number to confirm availability, no toll free number in Canada unfortunately, and spoke with their sales rep -in the UK. Courteous enough.
So, as of now, I would say: decent price (not great, but still), polite sales staff, excellent product selection and fast shipping to my area in Ottawa area."

"I placed an order through this reseller over 45 days ago. My order has NOT been shipped yet, and I have not received any notification regarding my order. I have sent several emails to this company requesting information on the status of my order, and they have not replied. I still do not know where the product I ordered is. I am VERY dissatisfied with this company, and at this time, I will never do business with them again.

Update:
After multiple emails, I have finally been able to get through to someone in Expansys' customer service department. They informed me that it would be AT MINIMUM 2 additional weeks before my item would even ship, bringing my order-to-ship time to over two months. The customer service agent was very short in his emails, and in no way attempted to explain the delay, nor did he even offer an apology for the inconvenience. Overall, my disappointment with this company and their customer service has lead me to cancel my order, and I will look for another reseller for the product that I need."

"I placed an order for a cellphone headset a month ago. I contacted them 2 weeks ago asking them when it would arrive...the support person said "next week." Two weeks after that, I decided to cancel my order. It took 1 month of waiting, but only 15 minutes to cancel via email. What a waste of time."

"Nokia sim-free phone showed as "In Stock" estimating 2 days delivery..... So I ordered it, on a Wednesday. 2 days later, nothing. I rang them - "yeah, your phone is coming from a French warehouse - and THAT will take 2 days. We put in transfer orders once a week, on Tuesday. So it's 2 days after that, then we ship it to you - another 2 days...." Great. So.... 9 days later I check the order status..... "ESTIMATING 14 DAYS" - All e-mails unanswered, so order CANCELLED ! Avoid this 'seller' !!!"

"I ordered an Acer Liquid MT (bonus pack) and it was in my hands in three days, with standard shipping.

Very pleased.

Nice phone too, especially at the price."

"I ordered a Sony Ericsson HBH-60 Bluetooth Headset from them a week ago and have yet to receive a single email concerning it's status. I didn't even get a confirmation email from them after I placed the order?!? I sent 2 emails to them but they have yet to be answered. I had to call up customer service twice, both times they tell me it's shipped, but still can't get a status online through their order tracker. Strange company.... I felt confident ordering from them because they appeared to be fairly reputable. Not so sure anymore.


EDIT: I received the item today after posting the comments above. They did ship on time apparently, but their order tracking and status notifcation need some work! The product works perfectly and was packed well. Good product selection, good prices, bad post-sale customer communications (none)."

"Expansys claimed to have items in stock. This was not true. There tracking system gives very optimistic values. Expansys does have a Swiss website and a Swiss phone number. However, I could not find there office in the telephone book. Every phone call will be answered from there office in Germany. I believe they know well, that items are not in there stock - in my opinion, a cutomertrap."
