By FAR the WORST online buying experience. Stock is consistently misrepresented, each customer support person has a different version of what the order status is and they are unable to keep the shipping commitments. NEVER AGAIN.

I recently lost my contract Nokie E71 and being unable to afford the high cost of replacing it, I looked out for a cheap replacement. As I like to use my phone as a diary and organiser, I wanted one that ran Windows mobile in order that I can synchronise it with Outlook on my computer. I was delighted when I saw that Expansys were selling Palm Treo 500s for what I thought was a bargain price of £80 plus (I have since found that www.svp.co.uk are selling then for £10 less and have a better reputation to boot). I bought the phone as it was the cheapest that ran Windows mobile, despite some mixed reviews of the handset itself and many people complaining about poor reliablity / build quality. I decided to dismiss these fears as I only had 6 months until my contract ran out, and also I figured that any UK company would honour their 12 month guarantee right? Well how wrong I was! I bought the phone last month, and by the beginning of this month it was unusable with the screen being mush and no text being legible. Naturally I contacted Expansys customer services and sent the phone back to them. They responded after 5 days, saying that the LCD screen had been damaged by myself (despite the fact that the LCD screen was beneath another clear screen which was undamaged), absolving themselves of all responsiblity, and basically telling me it is my problem.
Now I have been for a fortnight without a phone, and have to pay for another or, and I am apoplectic with rage. This is a total false economy, as what appeared to be a bargain turned out to be a dreadful and expensive mistake. The only reason why they can profit from sellng windows mobiles at this price is by selling an inferior quality product, and then washing their hands of it when it goes wrong. I 10 years of owning mobiles, I have only had one other go wrong under guarantee and even then it was after 11 months. This piece of junk lasted just a few weeks and the merchant washed their hands of it completely. Please take my advice and go to a reputable retailer if you are looking at a product with a mixed reputation as it will sell you a whole lot in the long run.

Like the other times (4) I ordered and did business with Expansys, everything went right. I live in Canada and they always ship from USA within 48 hours.
Nothing to complain about. Even for exchanging a phone with 1 missing pixel on the screen, I had no problems at all. Thank you!

These guys do not even try to read emails. Tried to make a purchase by Bank Transfer.
The customer support insisted that my credit card had been declined??? I tried patiently to explain that Bank transfer has nothing to do with a credit card, but they would not understand. How come these people are in business?
addendum: after much fuss I was finally able to communicate with someone who wrote sensible things. Unfortunately I had gone with another company....

The item showed "3 days to ship" when I ordered. It then kept changing to 5, 8, 3, 10, 14 days till about 10 days when I cancelled the order.

I ordered a part on 1/20/09. Each time I emailed an inquiry they said they were expecting the item "by the end of the week".
A month later and it still is not in stock. Needless to say, I canceled my order. Fortunately, they were prompt in sending an email confirming cancelation. Now I just need to make sure my card doesn't get charged.

This trading website is the worst I have ever seen! Those guys are unbelievably unorganized and they almost have no customer support. All they have is a representative that lies to you and promise to get back to you with information about your order later and that never happens!!! Here is an order I placed and was pending for TWO MONTHS!

I called them more than ten times and emailed them few others, I even emailed the parent company but I never got any response… BEWARE

Ordered the Logitech Harmony One universal remote.
They call me saying that the remote is soon discontinued and it will take 3 weeks to deliver it. I checked with Logitech who confirms this.
10 days later, I got it by FedEx! A brand new clean remote.
However I mail them: the package comes from HK and they forgot to slip the plug-adapter into the envelop.
The next day another FedEx with the plug is delivered for free!

I think expansys.com have thier own scam going on i order the mwg zinc II the price was 299.99 site told me that thier was 37 in-stock i then went the next day to check order status and it said waiting for stock but they where still selling the item as if they had it instock because i check and at this point it said 61 where in stock but yet my order status say's waiting for stock, so i said maybe that said for all new orders while in processing i waited four days and still now shipment and it says the same thing after two unanswered email when before they answered all my email right away i decide to call i beleave with this false advertisement they are use people money for buying stock.. the sale rep told me that the system was still letting people order after the item was out but yet while taking with him it was still avaiable for purchase he then said it would be a one week wait for stock to come in now i know thier would be another 3days on top of that for processing i asked for my money back.... i think they delibertly decieve thier customers... they say if it seem to good tobe true then it usually isn't good... they where the only site to carry it at a price of 299.99 i feel suckered now i ust wait 24-48hrs for my money that they took in one min... but i found another site its 35 dollars more but they have it on-hand stock negrielectronics.com

I ordered a TV and paid by credit card. The order was confirmed by email. I then received a further email saying I had to pay by bank transfer. There was no problem with the credit card. My bank confirmed this and said no payment request had been made. Customer services tried to tell me that there was better cover when paying by bank transfer than credit card. This is untrue. They then said it was due to the order being over £1000 - it was not. I cancelled the order as I decided bank transfer was too risky.

This company's returns policy is arbitrary, high handed and contravenes all EEC and UK consumer legislation. I paid for a (faulty) item several weeks ago and having returned it, now have no goods and no satisfaction from eXpansys. Having told me that my 'unlimited, lifetime, unconditional, no quibble, guarantee' was useless, refused to communicate further. Avoid this company at all costs!

Purchased through their website on Friday, paid £9.99 extra for Saturday delivery. Item was "on request" which to me meant non-stock item and it would be drop shipped. System allowed me to order and said it would be shipped to arrive Saturday.
Saturday spent all day waiting for nothing.
Rang them Monday, bored person on the phone said I should have known it wasn't in stock as it clearly stated on the website. Err no it didn't, it said "on request", to me implying it would be drop shipped by a third party. Apparently I should have known Expansys don't do drop shipping.
Then went on to say Saturday delivery isn't guaranteed anyway and I should have known that too! Pardon me for being so stupid.
Spoke to manager, less bored sounding but equally unbothered, more interested in arguing about semantics than anything useful. Said I should have rang the order in, he would have! Yes let's forget this whole internet thing, big waste of time.
Suggested they update the wording to be more clear, also don't allow Saturday delivery to be chosen if they know it's not going to be delivered Saturday. He said it's for the board to decide (how does anything ever get done there???) but he thinks it's clear enough.
Very poor, could try harder.

They didn't cancel the order, they charged me and sent it anyway! My brain hurts!!! Now I've got to waste my time trying to deal with them again, send the thing back probably at my expense and wait for a refund. Who knows how long that'll take?
