I was very pleased with my order from coolcases, especially the proccess of picking out a case and buying it.  
 
Though I had many questions about the case and customizations, Jim was very patient and answered them all expertly.  
 
Once I decided on my purchase, things went very smoothly, and the product turned out exactly how I expected. My only complaint would be that on occasion communication was a little slower then from a larger company.

Not only did Jim at CoolCases respond very quickly to all my questions and concerns, he also made all the necessary changes to the case I ordered and shipped it very promptly.  
 
Couple that with the fact that UPS delivered it a day earlier than they were scheduled to, and I'm a very happy camper.  
 
The fit and finish on the customization is superb, and I can hardly wait to finish building my system using this case.  
 
I'd not ony highly recommend CoolCases, but I would definitely order from them again in the future.

I had been running dual Xeon 3.0 chips, with the retail heatsinks and fans on an Asus PC-DL mobo, in a P4 certified case with dual 80mm front intake, dual 80 back exhaust. But, whenever hyperthreading was activated, the cpu temps climbed to 70 degrees Celsius, with no signs of slowing down.  
 
With the Chenbro GENIE SR10403, modified by Cool Cases to include two 120mm front intakes, 120 left outtake, 120 right intake, etc, my system stays around 48-55 under full hyperthreading rendering loads, and 30-37 when working without hyperthreading.  
 
The only noticeable quirk of the modifications was that the 120mm upper right side fan appearently detached during shipping (UPS), but, thanks to the excellent packaging, was unharmed, and easily reinstalled and tightened.  
 
I'm very satisified with the service and quality from Jim, and Cool Cases.com, and recommend his buisiness without reservation.

Note: My transaction date was actually in 2000, not 2003. The system wouldn't let me input 2000. Anyway, I think a review from someone whose case from coolcases has withstood the test of time is valid. I ordered a Chenbro "Net" from coolcases.com back in 2000 when Jim Hanson was just getting his business going on the Web. I DO still have my invoice showing all of his excellent modifications but there's no number on it. Anyway, a then-top-of-the-line Athlon CPU went into the case along with a number of components. Jim made sure the case would be well-cooled and yet not too noisy. I'm still using the case today -- four years later, although I've since upgraded quite a bit. All of the original fans still work, and the noise level remains acceptable. The original Enermax 350 watt power supply Jim recommended and installed is still going strong, and this system has been used intensively for the last 4 years. I remember that back in 2000, when I was trying to make up my mind which case to buy, Jim helped me decide after I gave him detailed information on what I'd be using the system for, upgrade plans, where the system would be, etc. I remember ruling out one case because he said it'd be difficult to clean the filter. With the Chenbro, I've had no trouble cleaning the filter. It's been a great case. Heavy, but durable. Lots of room for excellent air flow and lots of room for all the components without everything being cramped. Jim was a repository of excellent information on cases, he was always pleasant and responded to all of my e-mails. I think it's a testament to his excellent service that I still remember him after (4) years and wouldn't hesitate to order from him again next time I need a case. Highly recommended!

Outstanding personalized service from Mr. Jim Hanson. He even included a check to refund me the overcharge on shipping through the PayPal system, that I didn't even notice! Most definitely would order from CoolCases.Com again, and recommending to friends with similar product needs.

This was my first experience with coolcases.com and what a great one it was! I ordered 2 Panasonic Panaflo 120mm fans on 6/1/04. Fans arrived as promised on 6/4/04, very well packaged. I was very happy with my purchasing experience at coolcases.com. While there are a good number of modded case packages, none of them were exactly what I wanted so my order was custom and done mostly through e-mails. They were very prompt in returning my emails and very helpful as well.

Bought a nice quiet fan from Jim's site yesterday. I didnt get a chance to rate him back in 2000 when I bought my case from him so I will do so now.  
 
I bought from Jim the additronics 7896-120 hotrod setup in the summer of 2000 before his webstore was even set up. Back then it was all done via email.  
 
Happy to say that the case is still "cool" and that its gone trough many computer upgrades still keeping everything cool and quiet. Its probably the oldest component I have and its still great.  
 
If you need a case and want to business with a guy who cares and who will treat you right, buy from Jim.
