"TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS! Ordered a camera on line for $259 plus shipping of $20. Then I get an email from a Chris at bestpricecameras.com thanking me for placing an order and to call to confirm the order. When I called, all of a sudden the price of the camera was $322! When I said then that I didn't want the camera, Chris became VERY RUDE. WILL NEVER DEAL with them again! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

"Warning to all customers!!!!
This is absolutely the worst experience of buying a product online: I have purchased D80 camera for the price that was advertised on the internet and paid with my credit card. Next morning I received an email asking me to call Jason Scooter at customer service. When I did so Jason told me that I need a battery and charger for over $200, I told him that all I need is what I have ordered: just the body of the camera, as advertised. However, he insisted that I should purchase the battery and charger When I refused to purchase these accessories, he told me that then the camera is on the back order and I have to wait 6 weeks and asked me several times if I want to cancel my order.
I hung up and asked a friend call BestPriceCameras and ask them if they can purchase a D80 camera and if they have it in stock. They replied no problem and it can be purchased today. However, the salesperson suggested that my friend also needs to get the battery and charger and when he said he doesn’t need it, the salesperson slammed the phone on him.

"I just cancelled my order with this company due to being hung up on by Steve. At first I was thinking that he was having a bad day and I was the last straw but after reading these comments, I've quickly learned that this is how they operate. I was trying to order a Nikon D300 and was told that I needed to order the D80 and also that the battery and charger does not come with either of the products. He said the lens that I was getting was plastic and I was being cheap, I said why would a plastic lens even be an option with such an expensive piece of equipment because I surely didn't tell you specifically that I want the plastic lens. I then said that your site should specify exactly what people are purchasing and man that sent him over the edge. He then said that the battery cost $249 and the charger cost $159. I told him that a battery and charger does not cost that much and I laughed at those ridiculous quotes. He then told me that I was being cheap and I didn't know what I was ordering and he didn't want to waste any more time on me, he then said order a camera from another store and hung the phone up.

Well now I know that he was a blessing to me because all of the comments hear lets me know that I am not alone. However I did exactly what he told me to do, I called B&H got a great deal along with Exellent Customer Service and I will never look back at Best Priced Cameras again.

I thank everyone hear for your comments. I registered on this site just so I could share my very similar story with all of you and for those that are interested.

Its Amazing that they are still in business."

"What a scam. I orderd this camera off the web site. Thank goodness they called the next day to confirm and tell me how I was getting screwed. The Nikon D80 ended up being a grey market.(NikonUSA will not do warrinty repaires on grey market cameras) They informed me that they do not include a battery or the neccesary firmware to process the pic's so this camera is useless unless I bought the package that inflates the price higher than my local camera store. I told him that I felt this is a scam and cancel my order, he instantly became ignorantly rude. I reinforced my stand to cancel the order and got hung up on."

"Total rip-off! Will not return calls or respond to customer service e-mails. Bait and switch or cancel if you don't upgrade or add overpriced options. Don't waste your time or money with these fradulent sellers."

"Do not deal with these lowlifes! They will scam you. They wanted $60 ea. for the camera battery and charger, which is already packaged with the camera from the manufacturer. But they tell you it is not included. My total order was going to be $250 more than I originally expected because of those things and shipping insurance!!

SLIMEBAGS!! STAY AWAY!!"

"Seller bestpricecameras.com is scam...same people as fotoconnection.com - try to make you upgrade, give false information, cancel order when you don't upgrade price to what normal camera stores sell for. Don't buy from them!"

"A price too good to be true, so I called their number rather than use their website. Tried to pressure me to buy high priced accessories (expensive batteries, lenses, memory, chargers) beyond the basic exceptionally priced, but no doubt gray market, camera. I did not bite. After I relented they placed the order for the camera, they said someone would call back within the hour to take my credit card. They still have not called back (5 days later). When I called their accounting department, they said that the camera was on indefinite backorder although the original sales person indicated that they had stock. I caught several other lies regarding the original salesperson, I checked on the 'packages' he was trying to sell, and they differed from the website. No doubt I would have gotten the lesser, but that is a presumption.

They have plausible deniability regarding all their practices, I am sure they are carefully skirting all the interstate trade laws; violating the spirit, but not the letter; not worth pursuing?

Stroke of luck for me that I never provided them my credit card? For them to take it would mean they have to deliver within 30 days ..."

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. It's a scam. You'll never get the cheap camera as advertised and you'll lose money.

UPDATE: This company tries to trick you in a special deal. They sell cameras (body only) without firmware, manuals, cable, etc. Essentially those cameras are useless unless you afterwards buy the firmware etc. (often for much more money). My personal recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - MOST LIKELY YOU WILL REGRET IT and you will have some trouble. Try to find a serious company with good ratings that offers you a good product and does not want to trick you. There are many other good companies. Do not respond to an unusual low price. I did this mistake because I believed what has been written in an ad. Also, do not trust in their webpage. After you ordered the product you will get a message that the final purchase price will have to be determined. Again, it's a scam, be careful!!!!!"

"Am I safe?
I placed order last night (9/25) for very lowest priced Camcorders.
When I placed order, I waited email for order confirmation. With normal shopping site, it comes shortly, but from this site, nothing happened.
I got email today evening and according to it, due to high demand, my order was canceled.
*** Maybe because sales rep could not get me by tel call? or it is just before their store closing?
I visited their site again, but it is still on sale.
I worried something is strange with this site, many doubtful things, then reached to this site and got terrible information.
I checked my credit card record, fortunately no damage, but called credit company and asked block & renew my card for safety.
I'm stolen not only card info, but also full name, telephone number & e-mail address.
In fact, much SPAM comes after placing order to this site.
How can I complain not only to this store, but also to rating site "www.ShopCartUSA.com" which rated this store five star, "Yahoo.com" which lead me to ShopCartUSA as sponsor results, and "Symantec" this site is checked no fraud by Norton internet security 2007, "GeoTrust" who is still trusting this site???

Please check ratings in this site http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Best_Price_Cameras_6
too."
