Amvona has been good at providing decent quality materials over the past few years. However, my last order had a minor issue that needed resolving. After several emails and phone conversations I have yet to talk to the one person, yes only one, that could help me in customer service. I just left my 3rd phone message and anticipate I will never hear from Amvona.
I can say emphatically I will never do business with this company again. I sense they are on the brink of closing and will soon be out of business.

beware, chroma key blue is not real hollywood color. It is too dark. Not a muslin feels like a linen tablecloth. Shiny with no texture to absorb light. Light will bounce off background and into skin tones. The photo thumbnail on website looks to be a roll of seamless paper. I noticed after examining after receiving product. Look at how it is supported on pole. It is rolled up. Product comes with grommets but none shown in ad photo. Look at right edge near stand. Looks like seamless straight, but with a little curve. Look at the green background next to it. Customer service is no good. Will exchange only for store credit. Shipping is exorbatant. Don't buy from amvona.

I have been trying for three weeks to get Amvona to stop spam emailing me. When I go to their unsubscribe page, and try, I get a message that my email address is not valid (the same address they are spamming me at). I have emailed them numerous times and continue to receive their daily spam and no help except one email stating that my request has been forwarded to the web team - that was two weeks ago.

This is not a professional business with respect for customers and business etiquette by any means. They resell cheaply made and poorly designed products which fallow apart right at the beginning
or after few uses. Customer service is not responsive and exchange of defected item can take moths. Shame on the business for wasting out time and money for the poor quality and service!!!
I strongly recommend NOT TO USE Amvona unless you don't care.

I previously ordered from amvona ( thru Ebay) and was pleased with the products and services. I even recommended them to other friends who ended up buying from them as well. I thought that this company was built on selling inexpensive, heavy duty, photography equipments. Until my last order, it was directly thru their website ( as they no longer sell thru Ebay) for a pair of supposedly "heavy duty" boom light stands ( as-305s) and backdrops. I was disappointed with quality and construction of the boom after opening one box and did not even bother opening the other. The adjustment screws were held up by plastic. Now how could that be heavy duty? I emailed Amvona stating I wanted to return the product. I requested for a refund instead of store credit as they do not have what I need and I also do not want to deal with them anymore after this. They refused and plans to only give store credit. On top of that, they would charge $5 for the package return label, that I would print on my own. I guess with the economy falling, companies like these are struggling and needs to find ways to stay afloat, even if it means charging for return labels. On their website, they discourage you from returning, instead they want you to sell their products on ebay or craigslist... they do know that they have sh@#$y products and want you to sell it for them! Bottom line, for those of you that knew them in their earlier days, THEY HAVE CHANGED. THIS IS NOT THE AMVONE THAT USED TO SELL GOOD PRODUCTS, INSTEAD THEY TURNED INTO A CRAPPY COMPANY THAT SELLS CRAPPY PRODUCTS! STAY AWAY! FIND ANOTHER STORE! SPREAD THE WORD SO EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THEM!

i've ordered a tripod and ball head from these guys. after it the items did not ship in 3 days, i called and canceled the order. a month and a half and several phone calls later, my never shipped order is still charged to my credit card. from reading the reviews, this seems to be rather common with this merchant, which is why i will never attempt to shop with them again and would advise you not to either.

I have ordered three products, two came promptly and were okay quality for the price paid. I ordered a tripod, it didn't come, I tried getting through to order tracking, was on hold and finally gave up. I tried sales later, got through pretty quick and they found out I had been invoiced but the order not processed. Now it's on the way. This review was modified by its author, eric324, on

Good price, high shipping, decent product. Thats the good news. Bad news is the tripod fell apart. Several calls to tech support got me voicemail. Several messages and emails got me nothing. Bad quality and terrible support. DON'T BUY!!! This review was modified by its author, sideoutmtb, on

DO NOT ORDER FROM AMVONA.COM!!! This is a horrible company with horrible business ethics. I ordered two items, one of which was featured on an unsolicited email, both items were "out of stock" immediately after ordering and never came into stock. My CC was charged the day I ordered, but after 2 months I never received a shipment and contacted them to cancel and refund my money. I have yet to receive an email or response to my emails and calls. I have yet to receive a refund, an apology, or any sort of acknowledgement of the fact that I have had such a bad experience. I believe this is a classic Bait and Switch company, as they offered to sell me a different and more expensive product in lieu of the ones I ordered. I can not get a solid answer as to when to expect a refund, was told it would take 4-6 weeks to show up on my credit card! Horrible Horrible experience, AVOID AMVONA!!!!
NOTE: I did FINALLY receive a full refund from Amvona.com. I wasted a lot of time emailing, calling, emailing, and calling. I got no response or apology, but did eventually receive a full refund. I would still advise avoiding this company as I believe I got the refund only because I pestered them as much as I did in order to get it. I do think they have bad business ethics and should alter the way they view customers in this modern age of Customer Reviews that are searchable online. I ordered a tripod model AT3001 directly from Amvona. One of the leg locks broke on the first day of use. I called customer service, was left on hold for over a half hour, then left a message, which was not returned. I would not buy from them again.

At the begin of this year I ordered a tipod with this ebay store. Good price but very expensive shipping! 4 month later I don't have it and I don't have my money. Amvona have my money and my tripod. I opened a dispute on ebay: more of 90 days later it's close without succes! Furthermore I can't use paypal insurance because you've 45 days to ask that! Until the end I thinked they 'll give me an answer! Since 3 weeks: no answers anymore! So I think this store isn't honest. Don't go on Amvona store: the most dishonest store I encounter on ebay! Very angry against them!

Before I ordered from AMVONA I looked at the ratings on resellerratings and noted a 1.67/10 for Amvona. Normally I wouldn't even give the company a second thought - but I did and ordered a tripod/head. Long story short - I was thoroughly pleased with the complete process. In fact I was rating the whole process throughout the order meaning - I ordered electronically - received the item (new) in great shape in 3 days. I then called back because I needed a bushing reducer. I did call technical dept and noone answered but immediately called the ordering desk and got Matt and later spoke with Jimmy. Both gentlemen were outstanding in conversation, technical discussion and manners. In fact Jimmy forwarded the bushing as a courtesy. Additionally, I previously emailed my question via there system and was later called the next day by none other then Jimmy. I don't want to give anyone any false indications of easy victory at a good price however I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I would order from these folks without any hesitation. Good luck!

I've purchased things from Amvona via eBay before and it was always a positive experience. That is until this one. First of all the grip ball head I won was "not in stock". How do you auction sometnhing that isn't in stock? So they sent a replacement that was basically the same item but bright silver instead of dark grey. Needless to say it looked weird on my dark grey Dynatran tripod. I decided that looks weren't that important so I installed it on my tripod. It didn't fit. After screwing it all the way down the plates didn't make contact. There was a 1/2" gap meaning the set screws wouldn't hold it in place. I emailed them 3 times about this and NEVER received a response. Unacceptable. I finally got their number (NOT toll free) from their web site and called them. Fortunately the CS rep I got was very helpful and issued a UPS return label with RMA with no hassles. I'm shipping it back tomorrow for a refund. If I actually get it they will have redeemed themselves.

I should have read about these guys before I bought. I purchased a Tripod AT-3051. Used it maybe 4 times since Nov 07. Yesterday the vertical screw adjustment stripped out. I called manufacturer, they said to bad. Any ebay purchases only have a 7 day return policy. Tried to explain I was not looking to return, only exchange and defective head. Amovona said same difference. If I would have purchased directly from them product would carry a 1 yr warranty. Not a good experience and would never recommend anyone to purchase anything from this store. Clearly they have no mind set for any customer service! Good luck if you decide to buy any product from them directly or on e bay.

I had ordered 014-2CKB Background Support System with Chroma Key Blue Backdrop by DynaTran off of eBay on 2/6. When the packaged arrived, the backdrop came, but the support system was on backorder. I called Amvona customer service with my displeasure. According to customer service, the support system was on backorder for 6-8 weeks. They promised a new model coming out in 2 weeks. That didn't do me any good. I demanded that something be done because they knowingly put an item up for sale that they knew was backordered. Vera in customer service took care of the situation and resolved the issues I had. I had started reading the ratings on here and thought, "What have I gotten myself into?" Vera called back and said that they would be sending me out a new backdrop system. I received a new system in a day and a half. Yes, they do have a bad reputation, but I'm one initially dissatisfied customer who became satisfied. I doubt if I'll order anything else from them, but they did make this situation right in the end.
