"I wish we had read the reviews before ordering. My husband tried to call this morning to "confirm" our order and had to leave a message. He called back a second time and they are trying to convince him to order products that are supposed to be included and telling him other things that led him to believe it is a scan. He said he wanted to cancel the order and they placed him on hold. It's now been almost 10 minutes. When that call is ended we are calling our bank to make sure that the charge does not get processed."
"CROOKED!!!! Gave misinformation about products, prices, compatibilities. Refused to cancel order once submitted, threatened to charge a restocking fee for items not shipped, then tried to "make a deal." It boggles my mind how people who are so consistently and obnoxiously criminal can be allowed to continue doing business. "
"Thank heavens I read your reviews. I almost ordered a camcorder from these people. You saved my a**. They have really good window dressing but they are scam artists. I'm going to NewEgg. They have a great reputation. Cheers."

" OMG, I had so much fun with this sales guy at Broadway Photo ... 1) i knew i was going to get an email from them to confirm my info. 2) i read all of the previous reviews from bizrate and on here and was prepared. 3) i had no intension on buying the camera from them because i knew it wasn't what they advertised. Funnest part>>>Japanese model he said. i said they are all made in Japan, he said no the language is in Japanese, i said oh o it is a Japanese model with a jap warranty? he said no with a U.S. warranty "this went on for about 2 more minutes..lol you get the point of what i was doing. I did this on every single thing he tried to sell me, and by the end he was so freakin mad you could hear it in his voice, even worse i waited until 8:51 P.M.to call them ,LOL i knew he wanted to go home at 9!!!!!!!!! It is amazing that i bought this same camera with all the goods at Circuit City for 369 last week and this guy was trying to sell me the same thing for 633 . The price on there site said 279. what a serious markup. I feel so sorry for the people they rip off every day...GRRRRRR!! I think everyone should call them up and act like your going to buy something from them taking up at least 30 minutes of there time, then cancel the order, lol!!!! I recorded my conversation with them it is a shame that i cant upload audio for you all to listen too. I wouldn't buy a penny from them for .00002 cents and i hope that you wouldn't either. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTIST!!!oh not artist thats to much for me to bear.TRY "SCAM IDIOTS""
"they pulled a "bait and switch" advertising $315 then charging $395 by lying about the battery, scharge for "upgrades" they don't send, and charging $23 shipping and 5% restocking which is not disuputable with the credit card company."

"I had all the same experiences as the hundreds of other angry customers who took the time to post there concerns. My Nikon D70 was listed for $650.00 and a quick talking salesman soon had me buying a necessary "Package" that ended up costing me $1,303.00! I'M STUPID!!!!!!!!! Of course $73.80 of that was shipping. There was NO NIKON WARRANTY and although they assured me that I qualified for the $200.00 Nikon rebate, Nikon refused to pay because A&M is not an authorized Nikon dealer. I was nervous about this purchase from the very beginning and not receiving the rebate was a second slap in the face. I reported my concerns to the Better Business Bureau and suggest everyone who has posted a complaint do the same (It may or may not do any good, but sure makes you feel better). It's been a year and it still upsets me to the point that I can't really enjoy my camera like I should. They may get away with treating people this way today, but one day these guys will answer to a higher authority! "
"For anyone thinking that you can "luck out" and actually get a good deal from these people, think again. Here's is my experience, briefly.
I ordered the Sony DSC-T3 black online, and received the confirmation email telling me to call to confirm. When I called, I got the normal "Do you have any questions about the camera spiel." I said no, and then was proceeded to be given the upsell speech. Okay, fine. I listened. He said that it comes with a battery that only lasts 20 min, and didn't I want a better one? No. Of course it doesnt' actually come w/ such a puny battery. And so on and so forth. And we went through some other things, like extended warranty through the store, etc.
But keep in mind that he DID say that it came with a battery.
When I called back a few days later to confirm what I was getting, I was told that the $309 price was for an international version that didn't come w/ a battery or charger, and that I had to pay $399 for the full version. First of all, I'm pretty sure Sony doesn't have versions of their cameras that they sell like this, and even if they did, I was specifically told that I would be getting a battery.
So I asked him for the address to the store, and he got all defensive. "Why do you need that?" I told him I needed to know where to have my attorney send notce." His response: "You know what, sir? You're going to spend more money having your attorney sue us than the camera is worth. You should just forget about it. Oh, but I'm sure you have lots of money." Then he gives me an address, which 337 E 89th St, Brooklyn, NY 11236. This is the address listed for Broadway Photo. Not sure what the affiliation is there, or if the guy just flat-out lied.
So, there you have it. Don't even think about buying from these guys. I went in armed, and they flat-out lied to me.
I ended up calling right back and cancelling the order, which the guy could do right away, and I had the confirmation email in seconds. That was the only thing A&M Photo World delivered on. My cancellation!
Buyer Beware! Please!"

"A&M Photo World requested that I call to "verify" my order. Feeling like I was in for a hard sell, I cancelled by order. Shortly, A&M called me! to verify the order! They said my shipping address was to be on file with my credit card company, which I have never heard of. So I confirmed the cancellation over the phone, too. A&M was VERY RUDE. It's not worth saving a few bucks for poor service."
"I found the Panasonic PV-GS70 camcorder on AMPHOTOWORLD.COM for $569.99, I called them before placing the order making sure that they had it on stock, I was told yes this was the retail version and was on stock. I then placed the order online with $39 UPS 2 day delivery. Second later received an email about the other with the order number, the email stated to expedite the order call 800-862-9082. After been transferred to customer service to confirm the order number is as followed:
AMPH.COM: yes sir, we have your order, are you familiar with this camera. ME: Euh somewhat yes, it’s for my wife going to labor anytime this week so I would like to get this real quick. AMPH.COM: But the battery only last 15 min, do you want to purchase a longer life battery. ME: How much for this battery. AMPH.COM: It is $179, but you can get it thru this purchase for $149 ME No thanks, I’ll do fine with this one. AMPH.COM: Ok sir, you camera will be shipped in 6 to 8 weeks. ME: But on the web site, I chose a UPS 2 day delivery. AMPH.COM: No sir, this camera is shipping from overseas for $569 the US version is $699 and the warranty is $199 more. ME: But you web site did not state anything like that. AMPH.COM: So, we don’t have to state that on the web site. ME: Well sire I think this is false advertising, AMPH.COM: Listen sire I don’t have time to go back and forth. ME: Well you can go ahead and cancel my other AMPH.COM: Ok, bye.
People, I do buy a lot from the Internet and phone orders, and this company is by far the worst experience of my life, STAY AWAY. I’m surprise they are still in business.
