I have ordered many products from ZZF over the years without a problem. Good selection, prices & delivery. However, when you have a problem, LOOK OUT !!! Here's why:
I ordered an ASUS netbook on 5/28 only because the website showed it "in stock". I placed my order, my credit card was charged, and the status was "processing". I paid for 2 business day shipping, but since the weekend was coming up, I didn't expect it to ship until Monday.
Over the weekend, the status turned to "packed". Now, I don't know about you, but to me "packed" means just that. Product packed in a box ready to ship. When it was still in the same state a day later I called, only to find out the product was really backordered. I was furious. I then checked the website, it still showed in stock, and even let me place another order (I didn't fully check out). I called back and asked that my credit card be refunded and recharged when they received new stock. I spoke with a manager who stated they couldn't do that without cancelling the order all together. They had my money but had not shipped the product, the status still showed as packed, and were still taking orders.
I wonder how many other people they "hooked" in this scheme? Just as I was about to cancel and order elsewhere, the rep said they couldn't cancel because it was being shipped. Yeah, sure. Well, they finally did ship 2 day delivery on 06/04, a Thursday. (for my trouble they should have at least done overnight). I got it on Monday the 8th.
I filed a complaint with the GoldenGate BBB as I feel they are very inflexible and don't really value their customers. Especially a long time one. Charging before an item actually ships is just plain WRONG!
