"Spent $80+ on a top of the line full titanium frame + lens because I thought it would last me a while. Wrong. The frame broke after 3 months (and was clearly not "full titanium") and Zenni refused to repair or replace it because they only have a 1-month warranty. Buyer beware!"

"It was a mistake for me to get an AR (anti-reflective) coating on my otherwise great pair of Zenni Optical glasses. One edge was somewhat delaminated. No easy return info came with the glasses, so I let too much time pass. I called Zenni to confirm that their warranty is only for 30 days. I am out of luck and now the AR coating is visibly (to others when I am wearing them) debonded from the tops and bottoms of both lenses. I was hoping for somewhat better from online glasses. They were cheaper, but $76 is still too much to pay for a crappy looking pair of glasses."

"I ordered a pair of glasses from Zenni. Don't use them.
I was unable to enter my script, so I called them, and was told tough, we only do identical add ons. So I went to the web and ordered them.
Got them within 2 weeks.
Glasses had severe distortion around the edges. When I moved my head left to right, monitors etc would expand and contract. When I moved my head up and down, same thing, only vertical. Movement diagonally resulted in the same kind of distorion.
I sent them back on an RMA, and requested some modifications when they re-did the lens. Lower the seg a bit, and reduce the power. Sent them the scripts.
Got an email that they had refunded 50% of my money (will have to check the debit card, yeah, made the mistake of not using a cc'd).
When I called, I was told "inspection report says they are within tolerance." Refused to remake, and said could not return because "they were in a bone yard". Bottom line:
They had a severely defective product and did not correct it.
No other glasses I have ever had or seen had the same kind of flaw.
These were bifocals.
AVOID THESE ASSHOLES."

" 4 months after I puchased apair of glasses from zenni apiece of the lense broke off where the hole was drilled to attach the frames to the glasses. This occurred while I was simply putting my glasses on and not as a result of any mishandling or abuse. It was clearly cause by inferior lenses or the way they were made. Despite this zenni only covers 25% of the cost of replacing them.Buyers should know that although the prices are cheap these are not quality lenses and zenni does not back them up with a good warranty. "I never received my order although USPS indicates that it has been delivered. Zenni Optical tells me to take it up on USPS and that they will not send out another order but will provide 50% off when yuo reorder if the item is indeed lost/miss delivered.

So beware.

"I ordered on 2/2/11 and finally got the glasses on 2/22/11. They were bent and the optical glass was messed up. I will never buy from this company again.
Zenni Optical is a middleman and the glasses are made in China. No big deal except, the frames were bent and I had to pay to fix that, then the lenses were not made correctly. I had to take the frames and had new lenses put in them. I will admit the frames I ordered were Titanium and the whole purchase cost $50 plus the wait and local repair ($40) and hassle. This place is a nightmare do not waste your time or money."

"I placed an order for 3 pairs of prescription glasses on 2/2/11. My account was charged immediately and I was excited that I would soon get my glasses. It is now 2/14, and my order has still not even shipped.

I have contacted customer service and was told that they weren't sure if I meant to order prescription or not. Upon checking my order verification email AND my account on the site, my order was correct in both places, but still, somehow, Zenni was unsure if I meant to order prescription. That lovely little surprise cost 7 days of processing and shipping time. I don't think it would have been too much to ask for them to give a customer a phone call when there is a question about an order like that. (Not that there should have been one to begin with, as my order was correct...)

Anyway, I have requested that they ship my order expedited to make this right. We will see how they respond, if at all. I will re-review if necessary but so far, I will probably not return here because of this experience. "

"I ordered three pair of glasses from Zenni Optical. One was fine, one was a little blurry and one was extremely blurry. So I call them and send them back and they say they will evaluate them to see if they made them correctly. A month later they say this:

"We have received your returned glasses #7015 and #7020. They were checked and found to have been produced correctly.

We found the problem is probably that you can't get used to the goggles. Because the goggles have a great curvature.

As these glasses were produced in accordance with the prescription that you confirmed, we can either charge one shipping fee and return them to you, or you may request a fifty percent refund according to our return policy, if they are not to your satisfaction."

So I can't see out of them and they say it's my fault. I know how to wear glasses, duh. There is no way anyone could get used to how blurry these things were. One was so blurry that there isn't any way it was even close to the correct prescription. They clearly lied about at least one pair being correct. If I can't see clearly out of them, what good are they?

Don't buy from these guys there are plenty of other companies who make good glasses cheap. If you have a problem Zenni Optical will do to you what they did to me and you be out half your money. These guys are unethical. "

"***BEWARE***

I've been a customer of you Zenni optical for a little over 1 year. I've never had any problems with ordering glasses from your company until recently. I ordered a pair of glasses on December 29, 2010 for 15.00 and change, with the total coming out to $20.90. Yesterday being January 18, 2011 I still have not received my glasses. I opened the email that you guys sent me, and I checked the status. I was sent to a website called endica apparently associated with USPS. On the website it showed my packaging number, as well as a note saying that USPS came by to deliver the glasses but since they couldn't get a signature they took the order with them. Now this was new to me as all the pairs of glasses I've ever ordered have come in the mail box, in my locked mail box. So I called 1800ASKUSPS to schedule a redelivery. It was 12 days since USPS last came, and the website said that I had 15 days to request a redelivery so I called, and requested the redelivery for today (January 19 2011) the lady on the phone told me that they would come any where between early in the morning until 5pm. At about 3pm I went to check my mail, and I had mail but the mail deliverer still didn't come to my door to deliver my glasses. So at about 4pm I called 1800ASKUSPS again, and I told them that I scheduled a redelivery for today and that my mail came but my package still didn't. She said she didn't know why apologized, and asked me if I wanted to schedule yet another redelivery for tomorrow, or inconvenience myself and go and pick up my item. I told her that I waited at home all day for this package that never came and that it was extremely inconvenient for me to have done so and still not received a package! She gave my the number and address to the post office down the street, I called them and they said that my item wasn't there and gave me another phone number to call. I called this number several times and each of the times I got a busy signal. So then I called Zenni customer service and I encountered the rudest person ever in my life. First she told me that you guys can't give me a refund, she could only give me 50% back, then she told me that it's not her problem that my glasses aren't here. She spoke very rude, and inappropriate to me! And as a reasonably dissatisfied customer I didn't appreciate it. Your employee treated me like crap! And when I asked to speak to a manager she said "No you may not" and hung up on me before I could get her name. I hope your calls are recorded because she seriously made me think twice about being a customer to you guys. I am extremely frustrated right now, that my item should have been here about 3 weeks ago, my birthday is on friday, and I thought I woukd have my new glasses by then! But apparently not! I have refereed about 15 people off the top of my head and then some to Zennioptical, and this is the thanks I get? It's not right! And it's not like your glasses are that great of quality either! My first pair of glasses that i ordered about a year or so ago already started peeling! So I went back to your website, and tried to order the same pair again before I decided on a different style! My point is that with the money I'm giving to your company I expect a little respect, and to get what I order when you tell me it'll be here. And that's not the case. I am extremely disappointed in your company right now, and I also feel like I've been taken advantage of! If this email gets deleted or what not you guys can go ahead and keep my $20.90, and I'll go order $200 dollar glasses from my optometrist's office and get treated with the respect that I deserve as customer. If there is any one at Zenni that is customer orientated I would greatly appreciate it if this situation would be resolved with either a full refund of my original order, or my original order + some kind of compensation for my time, and inconvienence.

Thank you

Brittany "

"I purchased a pair of frameless lenses with polycarbonate lenses and with anti-glare and photochromic coatings. After a week of wearing the glasses, I noticed the coatings were peeling off. Anytime the glasses are heated unevenly, the coating peels off and it will not re-stick back on. I've have to pick off the sections which came unstuck, which has left lines on the lenses.
The coatings are poor quality and the adhesive on them is not very good. I would have preferred to have a chemical coating applied rather than a film coating. The chemical coating I get from Brick and mortar stores does tend to crack, but at least its stays on and keeps working. "
