The window that I started with is a big picture window that originally had old metal mini blinds. Because of the size of the window, the metal blinds were very hard to raise because of the weight. I went with double cell cellular shades, with the continuous cord loop, and now they are so much easier to raise and lower, requiring almost no effort.
