"Although Woot has a very hardcore (and often derisive) fan base, judging from the active forum posts, neither the company's employees nor their loyal following seem to give a hoot about anything other than their own superiority. In other words, both are primarily concerned with maintaining the status quo, which means that when something goes wrong with the ordering process, Woot will ignore justifiably irate customers in hopes that they will just go away.
For instance, one recent purchase-of-the-day turned into a debacle where many orders were not processed on a first-come-first-served basis (the very essence of Woot's marketing) and--even worse--numerous orders that were initially confirmed simply evaporated from customers' accounts literally overnight with absolutely no explanation whatsoever. Instead of addressing these very relevant issues professionally, Woot employees (and the company's forum fans) instead whine about how good they do considering the high volume of customers who rush to purchase certain items.
I had to send three increasingly accusatory messages to Woot in order to receive one unsigned, terse response in which I was notified that my account had been frozen to prevent me from placing future orders. Note that although I asked for information on how to close my account, I did not ask for it to be done at that time. During future posts to appropriate forums, I was then treated to a barrage of disparaging remarks from the aforementioned hardcore fan base, including one Volunteer Moderator who apologized to forum members for my "latest participation" while indirectly referring to me as "a sad, attention-seeking soul."
Overall, Woot is a fad and novice retailer whose inexperience shows through the immaturity and frequently downright nasty attitude of its more vocal fans and employees when the ordering process does not function properly, as well as its obvious policy of ignoring customers under the guise of "Geeze, Louise, this stuff is so cheap compared to other places, why are you even complaining?" If you don't mind doing business with that kind of retailer, then you'll love 'em. Otherwise, stick with the more respectful and respectable companies."

"I have made 15 purchases from Woot since February of last year, and have been fully satisfied with each one. The products were exactly what was represented on the website, the prices were good, and shipping was relatively quick. I've never had to contact customer service, so I can't comment on that. I have recommended Woot to many of my friends, who have also become fans of this site."
"If an online Deal seem too good......You know the rest.. I got a hard drive pins came bent and the drive started making a noise and died. other that the 1.00 bag deal stauy away"
"Very dissapointed. They had the Motorola DCP501 at a great price and only $5 for shipping. The receiver was listed as being brand new. Shipping was delayed for a few days, but I could live with that. What I could not live with was that the unit was used. Well used is not a fair description. Heavily used and broken better describes it. The box had a note written on it stating that the DVD player was defective. Inside the box I noticed that the display was scratched, the receiver case was damaged, dented, scratched, etc. On the top of the receiver was a note once again stating that the DVD player was broken. The note was written on the previous owners personal stationary. Tried it anyway. Guess what, DVD player did not work!!!! I contacted Woot, actually 4 times over the next 5 days. Finally received a rude reply stating that the unit had to be dropped off at FEDEX for a free return. No exchange was available, refund would be given 2 weeks later. I don't know if I'll buy from them again since they either lie or don't know what they are selling, and their customer support does not exist."
"Overall, I've had very good luck with Woot. However, on my most recent purchase, the shipping notice went out, but the package sat in the warehouse for another week before it was found and shipped. I was in talks with the support staff and my contact seemed nice, however, the only response I would ever get was "We'll get back to you." For 4 days. I only found out that my package had shipped because I had been checking the traking number daily since it was supposed to have shipped. However, this incident aside, I am fairly content with Woot."
"Ordered a Dyson vacuum. The Vacuum NEVER shipped but they charged my credit card. They ADMIT they never shipped the item and REFUSED to refund the charge!! Finally called my bank and disputed the amount.
You may have had good experience with them, but when it goes bad, watch out! I wouldn't bother with woot anymore.
"While they offer a wide range of items and deals, BEWARE. They are not service-oriented in the least. In fact, they take a very cavalier attidue toward customers. It's a "screw-you" type of company that, judging by their reprehensive responses to problems, has had a number of complaints.
They refuse to accept merchandise for return unless it is so positiviely defective that it's junk. They "suggest" in the broadest terms that you contact the manufacturer to resolve any issues, including defective merchandise. Only as a last resort will they even listen to your problem and, even then, they still might not take positive action to resolve the situation.
Their idea of customer service is to let someone else do it. They are arrogant and difficult to deal with.
Be absolutely certain that you read EVERYTHING they post regarding the merchandise. Look for loopholes and any possible verbage that might constitute a misunderstanding or an intentional omission. Basically, if you buy if from them, you are stuck with it. They even suggest that, if you don't want it, like it, or agree that it's not as advertised, that you sell it on eBay. They policy is: You bought it. Tough! "

"Five business days to ship and another 10 days for the product to arrive. This isn't a fluke, it's normal. This is unacceptable considering the deals are not that great and other companies like newegg ship the same day and arrive within a few days. "
"These are good people. They stand behind what they sell. In my experience, if it doesn't work, they take it back for a refund, no questions asked.
Note the following when you buy from woot.com:
-some of their items are older or otherwise discontinued models (which is why they are sold at attractive prices).
-beware of anything that includes batteries. Shelf life may have expired.
-some of their items are refurbished (always indicated).
-they have recently started using FedEx Smartpost for shipping small items. As a result, arrival time has gone from about a week to ten days.
Fortunately, it is no longer necessary to log in at midnight (Central Time) to insure getting an item. Generally, most are still available the following morning.
Biggest problem: the "discuss" section for each product. Too many people posting to see themselves in print; hard to sort through to find really good, solid information on the product.
But still a good experience and a good, if unique merchant."
