But I'm glad you felt the customer service was excellent. Anyone can offer products at low prices – but not everyone can back it up with support like Whitaker Brothers does.
There are a few very important facts that this reviewer seems to have left out. Our version of events is much different. But Whitaker Brothers would never take a disagreement with a customer public. I'm sorry things didn't work out and I wish you the best of luck with whomever you choose to work with in the future.”
"The Martin Yale 1711 that Whitaker Brothers recommended to replace my aging 1701 was completely inadequate to do the required job. I had talked to the sales team about needing to fold stapled sheets. The 1701 had guides for stapled sheets to keep the product square to the rollers as where the 1711 did not. After spending 5 minuets with the machine I realized this. If anyone at Whitaker Brothers had used the machine they recommended they too would have realized it was not the right folder for stapled sheets. After I talked to the manufacturer I was able to order the correct folder.
Because of this we lost 2 weeks of production and on top of that they wanted us to pay for the return shipping. LOL
They where polite and apologetic on the phone. The customer service was actually quite good. They just did not recommend the correct folder for the job. "
