"I spoke with one of your representatives by the name of Mark. He was very helpful in finding the part I needed for my Pentair Tagelous sand filter. He shipped it out the same day I ordered it. I recieved it today, 6/22, and my pool is now up and running. I thank them so much for their efficiency and experience. He was so nice to deal with and extremely patient in dealing with a woman on top of it. I thank him so much. I wouldn't hesitate in dealing with him again. His name & number is attached to my pool information book now.

"Order was shipped in 3 boxes. Two made it. UPS says they never got the third box, Westside says UPS lost it. I really don't care - I just needed the balance of my order. Many phone calls, much time wasted by me, unfulfilled promises to call back, voice mail not returned. Finally, a full week after it was SUPPOSED to arrive, I was told it would be up to 15 days before it was resolved with UPS. BS - I have a house to finish. Only when I stated that it wasn't satisfactory that it was offered to ship another order ( billed to my credit card) and when the lost shipment was resolved, credit would be issued. Frankly, the value of my time wasted isn't worth the amount of the replacement order. Westside has seen the last dime from me. I've ordered well over $30k of material for this job from other vendors. All but this one was a positive experience. "

“Westside has made every effort to track the lost package through UPS. It is clearly stated in our posted shipping policies that Westside is not responsible for the carrier’s delay or loss of shipments. However, once this order was reported to us we immediately started a claim with UPS. UPS takes up to 15 business days to resolve any claim. The options given to our customer was to either receive a full refund for the missing products or to have the missing products expedited and reshipped once the claim has been resolved. The reason for this delay is that UPS finds 90% of all lost packages and delivers them to the shipping address. The customer chose to not wait for the processing time and reorder the items and have them shipped sooner. Westside and the customer agreed to issue a full refund for the missing product once the claim is found and returned to Westside Wholesale. In addition Westside has already issued a refund to the customer for the shipping charges and we have covered the intercept fees to redirect his replacement to an alternate address. In the rare occasion of a shipping carrier’s error we do everything reasonably possible to correct the error on behalf of our customers. This can include refunds, expedited shipping, drop shipping and in some case’s local delivery or will call options.”

"I have ordered twice from this company. The first time, they charged my credit card twice for the same order. They credited my account as soon as I called them. The second time, the outlets that I ordered were the wrong color so I sent them back to get reimbursed. A month and a half later I still have not been credited even though the package was received by them 5 days after I sent it I. I finally received a call back today and the claims representative gave me attitude. THE PACKAGE I SENT WAS RECEIVED BY THEM OVER A MONTH AGO (I TRACKED IT) AND HE SAYS THE SENDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT, MEANING ME, THE CUSTOMER!!! After all this back and forth communication, I got an email today saying my return was approved. Would they have even noticed if I didn’t call? Let’s hope I get my money credited to my account.
Update: 6-24-10
I got a call from the Westside Wholesale's Managaer, Tom Miller, right after I wrote this review. He wanted to apologize and do something to try to make me be a return customer and simply try to make me happy. I really appreciate the phone call, it shows they care and want to fix the problem. Tom gave me credit for the shipping of the returned items, gave me a nice discount on an expensive dimmer and will send it for free. I will shop here again. I am really pleased with the level of customer service Tom showed me."

"Placed an order for 5 items after being told they were all in stock for immediate delivery. All items were billed to my credit card immediately. 1st delivery was shipped 4 days after I ordered and received 10 days later. It contained only 2 of the 5 items ordered (no packing slip with shipment) Westside Wholesale blamed the shipping company and said I would have to wait for their claim with fedex and that since they shipped everything I could not cancel order? Total weight for all items ordered should have been over 150lbs. weight on Fedex sticker for 1st shipment was 85lbs.? Received 2 more shipments over next few weeks 1 item in each. Last shipment was over month after order was placed. I had obtained that item locally in order to meet my scheduled installation date. When I returned unwanted item ($518 original cost) Westside charged me $51 shipping charge (on top of my cost to ship it back) and was charged $103.79 restock charge! Never did received one of the items, even though I was billed for it.
Do yourself a favor and pay a little more up front with a reputable company. You will be money ahead in the end.

"By far worse customer service I ever dealt with.Ordered two smoke detectors for house system. One was defective, called to get replacement(system isn't working without one missing-8 detectors in system)house without fire protection. Got rma #, shipped back defective one after they received. they credited my account without shipping merchendise. Meantime I called couple of times to find out what's going on without response."

“The customer was given a full refund for the defective smoke alarm and received a new replacement smoke alarm free of charge. The customer was very pleased with the outcome and complemented our service. Contacting the customer was difficult because they would not provide their contact phone number, our responses needed to be given through emails.”

"I'm not unhappy anymore! I ordered a whole room space heater for $160 that couldn't even heat a 10x8 room. I called and the person (who now I know was the Customer Service Manager) said it sounded defective and he gave me an RMA and said to send it back. They even sent me a prepaid shipping label. I thought that was it! Then, two weeks later the "tester" called and said he tested it and it seems to work fine so he was going to charge me a 15% restocking fee. He wouldn't budge - he said he was bending over backwards for me and that he would normally just box it up and send it back to me. About 20 minutes later I got a call from the Customer Service Manager because the tester had sent him his "results" via email as an FYI. The Customer Service Manager had already overridden the restocking fee but wanted to talk to me about the details. In the end, they are not charging me a restocking fee and the Customer Service Manager will discuss the issue with the "tester". I am satisfied!"

"Not only was the price great on the Panasonic WhisperWall fan, the shipping was very prompt. I have shopped with this retailer before and will go to them again for similar items. Great items and a fair price and good service."

"On November 17 2010, I returned my order back to Westside Wholesale, Inc. I waited 1 month later to find out that my order was received damage.

Tom the Westside manager called me and gave me the full refund. Westside take there custumers very seriously. "

"Westside Wholesale lists products as "In Stock" and ready for "Drop Ship" that are actually backordered for months. Then they insist two weeks is needed to refund my credit card! By the way, this is something I had to learn on my own. Westside Wholesale did not alert me at all. They ran the credit card, went silent for 9 days, I phoned them to see what the delay could be, learned the Westside Wholesale customer service representative "did not know what was going on," I asked for the manufacturer telephone number and called the manufacturer myself. Apparently, a few days is required to "cancel" the phantom order and an additional 5-7 days to credit my card. I guess the lessons are to not believe their website information and don't expect good customer service with this online business."
