"Complete satisfaction. Back in 2002, I bought a refurbished Philips TiVo from WeaKnees, upgraded to 306/83 hours. There were complications because I was moving from California to New York at the time. They provided spectacular support, including tax considerations, and the purchase is one of the most satisfying I have ever made.
And that was before the occasion for the present report. Two weeks ago a thunderstorm blew out the built-in modem. It looked like I was going to be without for a couple of weeks, but I wrote to WeaKnees, and got a reply with the solution overnight--on a Saturday!
For just such eventualities, they have put together an external modem kit, that runs with one of the cables originally supplied with the Philips unit "

"I had issues with an HD-TiVo that I had upgraded with a WeaKnees package previously. Was told to send in the drives for testing, which I did overnight delivery. Before 4pm on the day they'd just arrived I was already provided with information that both drives had failed and replacements had been shipped.
In fact, I was a demanding customer asking them to email me when they received the drives and offer me various options. All email was immediately responded to and it was an _EXCELLENT_ customer experience.
You can never complain about attentive CS reps, and a turn around of approximate half a business day!"
That is the very best way to describe weaKnees. I have been involved with service-centric industries for over 20 years and it is very rare to find a company as knowledgeable or as courteous as weaKnees.
During the pre-sales phase, I BOMBARDED them with questions, via emails regarding a VERY new technology... something the DirecTV installers are not even trained on yet (a Single Wire Multiswitch). Even though we were communicating via email and after hours (Sunday evening) they responded within SECONDS and gave me every bit of info I needed.
My package arrived on time and was packaged properly so the expensive gear was protected. Everything was exactly as described online and came with even MORE helpful literature.
When DirecTV came by to do the install they were clueless. The tech had never seen the new SWM and had no idea how to install it. However, Jeff, Max, and Nick, at weaKnees were standing by via a toll-free number to answer EVERY question. We called them probably 10 times that afternoon and each time they were helpful, respectful, and as professional as one could hope for.
At one point, because of the DirecTV tech, I thought I might have to return the unit I purchased. weaKnees was only too happy to send out a replacement. I later called to cancel that order and they were courteous again.
What more can I say? If they were local I'd offer to buy them lunch. Just know that you will be MORE than satisfied with the team at weaKnees. They truly are great at what they do.

P.S. On a side note, the fact that they are based out of California is actual a good thing. I was nervous about it at first but, in the end, it meant that we had THREE EXTRA HOURS of time to work with them (since I am on the east coast)."

"HD TiVo - started to freeze and finally died. I found weaknees on line and a friend of mine had used them before and had nothing but great things You guys are AWESOME. I don't know TiVo works - I only know how to use it. You guys were patient, answered all of my questions - you are SO MUCH BETTER than TiVo support! I'm so pleased that I'm looking on-line tonight at your TiVo HD units with lifetime service.
Before I called you - TiVo wanted $149 for a refurb box. For a little more than that - you gave me a new harddrive - with triple the capacity and I keep my lifetime service! I will NEVER buy a DVR from TiVo again!!! "
