WeaKnees is to be commended for the quality of their upgrade kits. I added a 2nd drive to a TCD649080 (TiVo Dual Tuner) unit, and was very impressed with the quality of the documentation, as well as the quality of the kit parts. As a 25-year IT guy, I know my way around the inside of most things with circuit boards, but WeaKnees' documentation was so excellent that a total neophyte could get through the installation.
My first experience with WeaKnees was with replacing a failed hard drive on a TiVo HD unit, due to a power event. The website content really helped to focus the troubleshooting efforts, and execution of the drive swap was a no-brainer.
This is an excellent vendor. I'll definitely be recommending WeaKnees to others.

I have a TIVO with lifetime service that I didn't want to throw away when it got annoyingly noisey. I bought a new drive and fan. 20 minutes after opening the box, my TIVO was downloading programming information, quietly. Thanks Weaknees for fast service and easy install.

My HR10-250 TiVo went belly up telling me the hardware had been shut down due to excessive heat. It just would not start… A little bit of online research got me to the Weaknees website for a replacement power supply. I got the part today and thanks to their great (and clear) instructions it took less than 10 minutes to replace the power supply. I’m back to watching TV!

I moved accross the country and in the process my Tivo stopped working. I did a google search for Tivo repair and found Weaknees.com. The site had very helpful troubleshooting advice. I sent an email to customer support and received a response within an hour. I ended up ordering a new power supply from them. It shipped quickly and was reasonably priced. I followed the simple online instructions and installed the new power supply. Now my Tivo works again and I am happy!

I had a strange intermittent problem with my TiVo, where occasionally it would display only in black and white, and would not return to color until it was restarted. Because the problem was intermittent, I was concerned that a repair shop might have difficulty diagnosing and fixing the problem. However, WeaKnees fixed the unit perfectly, and did so very quickly (within a couple of days of receiving the unit). I'm very happy with the service I received.

My TIVO died and I had no idea what was wrong. I googled and found out that my hard drive had probably failed. I ttied a reboot and fix but it did not work. then I found Weaknees and thought their prices were very reasonable. Hoping to keep my 2,000 entered film ratings on my TIVO disk, I opted to send my TIVO to them to tranfser data to my new disk. But my old disk had too many bad sectors and they were not able to save the data. So they just replaced the TIVO hard drive with a new larger one for a very reasonable cost. Because I have paid lifetime monthly service on my TIVO unit, it was worth the cost of a new hard drive rather than buying a new unit. Turnaround was two days and when I plugged everything back in, I was up and running in minutes. Great service, reasonable price and fast turnaround. I recommend them highly. A real internet find!

Excellent experience! Via email, Weaknees reps led me through diagnosing my TiVo Series3 problem, I ordered a replacement drive, I received it in perfect condition 5 days later, used the included directions and tools to replace the bad one in about 15 minutes, put everything back together, powered it up, and the TiVo worked as well as it did new. The instructions were thorough, written in English, and had good relevant pictures. It was foolproof with the included tools. I would not hesitate to replace or upgrade a hard drive in an out-of-warranty TiVo unit after this very positive experience. Well done to everyone involved.

Installed my replacement power supply in ten minutes and my TiVo is alive now. I was reluctant to put $75 into a six-year old piece of electronics but your customer service rep reminded me that buying a new box would cost me much, much, more than that to get my lifetime service back!

I ordered a repacement hard drive for my Hughes Directv Tivo. It was promptly shipped overnight and I was back up and running in less than 24 hours. The drive was very easy to install in less than 15 minutes. Great Job WeaKnees!

Unbelievable response time. Asked for help on a Sunday and received a response on a Sunday. How great is that. I thought it was one of my drives but your diagnosis was right on. The power supply. I ordered and picked it up the same day. Back up in minutes. I can't say more. Your the best.

When I ordered my replacement hard drive, I accidentally clicked on the wrong link during the ordering. When the drive arrived, I noticed that it was wrong and immediately sent an e-mail to their Customer Service department.
I was surprised to not only receive an almost immediate response, it was a response from an actual person who efficiently described the process of returning my drive.
When my drive arrived back at Weak Knees, the replacement drive was sent back out the next day along with an e-mail with the tracing information.
During every step of the way, Weak Knees has been professional and courteous, returning any inquiry with a personal e-mail. They answer follow-on questions just as quickly.
Please reward their efforts and shop with Weak Knees.

Service and Product, what a deal!! Messed up on original order, clicked 2 day s&h, called and it was corrected immediately. Read and reread directions, gathered up my inner strength and installed my new larger hard drive in a DirecTV R10 Tivo. It went smooth as silk, increased my storage capacity by 400% and updated my 3 1/2 old dvr.
I'm 71, no electronic experience and I feel so Macho!!!

Weaknees was great! They helped me to diagnose my Tivo problem on the phone, shipped out a replacement power supply and gave great online instructions for replacing it...very easy! This was after Tivo told me that my box was dead and I should buy a new one! I have never fixed an electronic or computer device before but this couldn't have been easier. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone with a tivo problem.

The hard drive for my Pioneer 810H TIVO was exactly what was ordered, shipped promptly and arrived on time (in fact it arrived on Friday while I had expected it early the following week. The instructions were detailed and I had no problem with the installatin. Worked perfectly!
