"Alex Reynolds assisted me with my order today and WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure my tickets got to me in time for the event - Alex was fabulous to work with - very responsive and helpful - going to a supervisor to have the tickets sent to me - after I had put in a request to have them e-mailed instead of Fedex'd - waaaaaayyy beyond my expectation at all levels!!!!
Alex has made me a lifetime customer of Vivid seats - Alex is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!"

"BAD AND INCONVENIENT SERVICE--got a nice apology, though

I ordered four very good tickets for Phantom of the Opera for my three teen-age granddaughters and me in New York. My email said to pick them up at a bar on 40th St. We walked from 48th St. down to the bar, in the rain, went in, and they did not have the tickets. Fortunately I had printed my email instructions and had the emergency number to call. After about a ten minute wait, the man on the phone told me that my tickets were at the theater! Why didn't they tell me this to begin with, and why isn't that the natural place to leave tickets? A BAR??? We had to walk past the theater to get to the bar, which was noisy and not a place I would like to either eat or drink. Then I had to go in with the teen-agers. Not a good scene. I would not recommend Vivid Seats--try another vendor.~~~~~Later: After someone at Vivid Seats saw this review, I received a very nice and courteous call from a representative. She explained how it was supposed to work, and said that they contract with others. The "other" was the one who failed to leave our tickets and/or did not notify me or Vivid Seats that they would be somewhere other than the BAR. Anyway, they ("the other")are going to give me a coupon code toward another event--no expiration date. I guess I am satisfied, but anyone ordering through any ticket seller should be sure they understand how they will receive the tickets. Thank you, Vivid Seats for contacting me. That means a lot--You were not defensive, and that means a lot, too."

"What great service you provide! Your representative Colleen Kiel provided me with excellent and quick service. She communicated with me as soon as I received my e-tickets and then sent me the e-tickets in pdf format for me to print up much easily. She was very courteous and polite and definitely made my experience buying hockey tickets at Vivid.com. I must admit I was a little skeptic but my experience with your staff, especially, Colleen Kiel has been really great. Keep up the good work! I will recommend your site to my friends,"

"Terrible experience from a company that uses bait and switch techniques. After purchasing front row tickets for a Justin Bieber concert for my daughter they tried giving me a small credit for accepting seats 9 rows behind where I initially purchased. I hate to think of all people they take advantage of with this gimmick. You can also never get hold of the President and customer service just pushes you around from one liar to another...Be Warned"

"My husband and I were excited and eager to get seats for the current Rolling Stones concert. We had never heard of Vivid Seats and did not know they were a reputable merchant but after some digging we found they had a good reputation. What we did not expect was to pay super premium prices to get tickets to the San Jose Stones concert. We sat in row 12 of section 203 near the top of the HP Pavillion. Pretty good seats overall. The face value of the seats was $147.00 plus the TicketMaster surcharge of $18.20 so about $170 per seat. We were charged $575 per ticket by Vivid Seats and then a service charge of $287.50 for a grand total of $1462.45 for two seats. In fairness we made this request before seats went on sale so we did not know how much the face value of seats would be and Vivid Seats did not hide the charges. We agreed to the quoted price because of our desire to check this item off our bucket list, but the greed of this transaction is my problem. We were also charged $24.95 to have our tickets overnighted by Fedex because Vivid does not have the seats until they get them from their middleman. The bottom line is we loved the show, we are glad we did it but SHAME on YOU Vivid Tickets for taking advantage of the resale process. Sure this is legal but that does not make it right. Yes I know buyer beware, but really, is a profit of over $1000 on one transaction an honorable way to do business?

Update: One day after posting this review we were contacted by Vivid Seats Resolution team. My husband spoke with Jimmy who explained how Vivid Seats acquired the Stones tickets and that they were very expensive from the ticket broker they interacted with, so ours were of course priced accordingly and VS only made money on our service charge. James offered us compensation and we accepted. We appreciate their quick response and willingness to discuss this in a professional and open manner. We have been schooled in ticket buying and retract our very dissatisfied review. While this may be the way event tickets are sold now, I encourage promoters to look at their business practices and the impact on their customers and do a better job of protecting us."

There was a mix up with my order for the MIAMI HEAT GAME MONDAY 5/6/13 and my order did not go thru but thanks to Patrick Scully that issue was solved and I was able to get the tickets. He scored high in my book."

"I purchased tickets for my daughter's Birthday 9 months in advance and unfortunately Rhianna rescheduled the concert from Saturday to a weekday Tuesday. well my daughters schedule made it impossible. However I called vivid seats and at first i was told there was nothing that could be done. However i spoke to a supervisor and he was able to resell the tickets for me. This was a wonderful accommodation because I was able to purchase tickets for another artist."

"Eric provided excellent customer service. I asked for help with my online order because a discount recieved from a previous order with Vivid was not working. He offered to process my order over the phone, had me e-mail the confirmatin with my discount information and he walked me through the process. Because of Eric, I would look to use Vivid as my preferred ticket site."

"Currently planning our family vacation to california, purchased my tickets 2 months in advance for a dodgers baseball game. When purchased tickets the AD stated email delivery, after three weeks of waiting to here something I decided to follow up on the status of my tickets, called on 29 Apr 2013 the service rep stated he will tried to contact seller and was unsuccessful. Then he stated he will continue to try and give me a call back in 1hr, never heard from him. Called back again on 30 Apr 2013 and explaining my concern again, finally of getting no where and still unable to contact seller I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, "Jimmy" who claimed to be the man on top and answers to no one said my tickets will be emailed the day before the game at worst an hour before game time. I explained we will be on vacation and will not have access to a computer or printer, much less email access. That is why I purchased two months in advance to ensure I don't have to jump through hoops while on vacation. His response is "WELL THATS THE BEST WE CAN DO" well that is totally unacceptable to me!!! I have purchased several event tickets from a different vendorS for this vacation and I have already reveived tickets. I could understand if that is what the website stated, it said readly available. So I figured once my payment cleared I would get email notification to print tickets, nope still waiting. I WILL NEVER USE THIS VENDOR AGAIN!! All my co-workers have heard my frustration i had on the phone, and they assured me they will never use VIVID SEATS and will continue to pass the word to family and friends. That GOD for global net-working!! "

"I have purchased tickets from vivid seats.com several times in the past, as well as today, and I have had a totally positive experience doing so. All of their representatives are extremely professional and this is my go to place any time I am looking for tickets. The representative that I dealt with today, Patrick, did a wonderful job helping me make a decision and was very helpful and patient with me. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to purchase tickets for any event. JT"

"Vivid Seats rocks! I recommend anybody who wants to score good seats at a great price from a reputable company to choose Vivid Seats. I had a situation with an order and these guys made it right. They are the way to buy tickets. Ticketmaster could take lessons. 3 thumbs up!"

"I purchased baseball tickets 9 days prior to an event for 8 people. Vivid Seats emailed me stating my order was confirmed and I should receive my tickets 4 days before the event day via email. Ended up not getting the tickets via email, had to call Vivid Seats everyday and all I received was "oh they should be there soon, at least by the next day" for the last 3 days up until the event. I purposely selected email delivery since our party would be arriving at the venue at different times due to work schedules. All I was left with was a stressful experience, unsure if I would receive my tickets in time for the event, spent a lot of time on the phone with Vivid Seats figuring out how to get the tickets from will call and leave tickets for my friends coming at later times. On the day of the event, I called Vivid Seats at 7:30AM because I still didnt receive my tickets or emails updating the status of my order. The customer representative stated they would work with the seller and would call me back by 10AM. No surprise, I had to call Vivid Seats at 11AM to find out if I needed to pickup my tickets at will call. The company website states "worry-free, guaranteed tickets" and all I can say is that this is been the most stressful process, I have ever had to deal with. Hands down the worst 3rd party ticket vendor I have ever used and I go to at least 25 of these type of events a year.


UPDATE: horrible experience with vivid seats. So of course tickets ended up at will call. And Los Angeles traffic is no joke. Got to the game on time but had to walk all the way to will call, lost 40 min of the game, AND missed the giveaways. My party of 8 are ridiculously upset. Hope vivid seats finds a way to compensate, otherwise we will make sure the entire Internet world knows to use ticketmaster or stubhub. Absolutely terrible.


LAST UPDATE: So received a call from Vivid Seat's Resolution Center to discuss my dissatisfaction. Initially, they offered to compensate me with a promotional $50 towards the next event. Really? After all we went through stated above? I nearly have post-traumatic stress from what happened and never want to go to another Dodger game again. I requested at least half to be refunded and the representative, Adrianna, worked with me to get that. I would've been perfectly satisfied with the company if they refunded me 100%, considering I wasted a bunch of time with the customer service trying to get my tickets. So, I will just leave it at that. Vivid Seats is not as terrible as I thought, and I appreciate their attempt in addressing the issues. I don't think they understand how horrible of an experience the 8 of us had on 4/17/13 because of the company's mishap. I changed my rating from very dissatisfied to somewhat dissatisfied. I wish I had a good experience with Vivid Seats like the reviews before and after me, but it just didn't happen. I probably will not use Vivid Seats in the future. "

"I was having a difficult time ordering my tickets on line. I called Vivid Seats for assitance. Eric was the person who assisted me in the process. Eric was not only professional and courteous but he also was able to explain how the process works, what to expect and how to complete the order. He was an amazing support person that took a first time Vivid Seats user through the process. He was very patient and kind."
