"I looked around at various resellers but always ended up at Visual Apex. Their bundle with their fixed frame screen was just too good of a deal. Individually the projector could be found cheaper at other retailers, but the screen/mount/projector package to me was an easy choice. I'm a newbie to the projector scene and having all of the parts come in one package was the way to go.

While the projector shipped in the retail box (not in a enclosed nondescript box) it arrived fine as a signature was required. The screen seems to be a high quality screen with deep black velvet-like metal border with a black-backed white screen. (Perfect if you need to overscan your image slightly as it will not show up on the border) The ceiling mount is handy if I want to ceiling mount in the future. The 35ft hdmi cable is an awesome pack in. Finally, the WOW disc that they give you is also really helpful for optimizing your system. I learned a lot just by going through the steps on what to look for when setting up a system properly.

I am very satisfied with Visual Apex and would order from them again.

While visual apex did ask that I consider writing this review. I want to stress that this doesn't change my opinion of my purchase with them. I recommend doing so if you're in the market for an excellent projector package!"

"My shopping experience with Visual Apex was awesome! I ordered an epson 5010e projector and screen package. The package included a remote, ceiling mount and a couple other items. All the items shipped in a timely manner and everything came in great. I set up the full system and could not be happier! To top it all off you actually get a live person answer your calls, this was a huge surprise and made my shopping experience all the better.

Thanks Visual Apex for a great shopping experience! Will be coming back for future orders! "

"I'm not really sure why this place is getting a 10/10. I ordered a refurbished product on a Saturday. With free two-day business shipping I received the product late Wednesday. Unfortunately, the product was broken out of the box. I called their tech support during posted hours and nobody was available to help me. I called again the next morning during posted hours and nobody was available to help. When I did get a call back, I was told that a return was in order though I probably wouldn't get it until after the weekend. I asked, then, if I could get next day shipping to make up for these issues. I was told they would pay for 1/2 of that shipping.

In summary, I was sold a projector with 2 day shipping and received a broken piece of equipment. Then, after attempting to reach their customer support twice during business hours and failing, I was told that I'd have to wait (probably until 9 days after the original order) to receive a potentially working one unless I pay them $40. Maybe I might get it 7 days after ordering.

Then I asked if maybe they could throw in a little freebie to make up for my time and money (5 phone calls between them and epson, plus time/mileage for driving the original to FedEx) and they said no. Finally, running out of options, I asked if they had to wait until they had confirmation of the return shipping before sending the old one. I was told I could "buy an advance return" projector using a CC and have it refunded afterwards. I'm really surprised that I laid out several options and was pretty much shot down on all of them. CS simply didn't perform as I've come to expect from a company when the issue isn't the fault of the customer.

Now I remember why I stick with places like Amazon, Zappos, and Newegg and not small companies with poor return policies and barebones customer service.

UPDATE: I received the second projector and it also had an issue and is now another RMA. I waited more than 24 hours for tech support to call me back before I ended up calling them for a second time. Its unfortunate that this projector has such good picture quality and this is the only refurbished vendor. But, I guess if the third one fails I'll go to my fallback option.

UPDATE #2: I received the third unit. Internal 3D emitter is broken. I give up. I'm going with someone/something else."

"Excellent service, nice personalised follow up from an actual person, with an actual email address.

Were also kind enough to include a free dust jacket (on top of lots of other free stuff), proved very useful in protecting my projector while decorating.

I would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to buy any item available "

"A very pleasant experience, I did a lot of research prior to purchasing a projector and I am glad I did because I had a very good experience with Visual Apex. Everything arrived in good condition, there was a minor shipping issue but their sales and customer service were very prompt in responding to the issue. They also follow up after the sale to make sure that everything is ok. I would purchase from them again without hesitation."

"Wow... Went to best buy first for the 5020ub but it seemed all the employees were just way to busy talking to each other to help me. Even after I asked if they had it in stock they showed no interest in my huge purchase.

I went home and ordered from visual apex and WOW great price free shipping and great customer service.. This is the only place I will go for my future projector needs.. I also used projector central for all my research in choosing a projector..."

"I received the equipment and set everything up. I am very pleased with the configuration (Projector, Screen, Mounting Bracket and cable) that Visual Apex recommended. I would also like to add that their specialist took the time to explain his recommendation and put together a quote within 1 day. "Price is what first attracted me to Visual Apex. Everyone is looking for a fair price on the merchandise they buy and Visual Apex has it. The next thing you see is the customer service, and it was also great. Responses from emails prior to purchase all the way through setup and even afterwards were just great. I am very happy with the purchase and service I received. Just a great experience. I know when it comes to upgrade I will be looking at Visual Apex first. Again very happy."
