"My personal experience with vistaprint has been un-clear and confusing. I got a website from them and it was anything but user-friendly. I am sorry vistaprint but you need to update youe templetes and not charge money for everthing like changing your background colors and such. Plus, you charge way too much per month. I just went to godaddy and paid 47 for the entire year and the templates and ability to customized are way better. Take a note and do a serious revamping of your site and re-consider the charge amongst other thigns and mayyyybe ill come back. Oh yeh and requesting the EPP code is a nightmare. Its my domain name....yet i have to jump through 350 hoops in order to release it?! Wow. Im just speaking m experience. However, i hear the card and printing services are gret. Maybe ill stick to that!"

"I tried their free one month email service and then realized another company was cheaper and offered more, so I cancelled it and went to transfer my email to the new company and could not because vista print held the rights to my email domain name and I had to buy my domain name from them in order to transfer it to the new company. Vista print did not disclose anywhere in writing before I bought my account that they held the rights and to make it worse they failed to disclose, if I transferred the domain, it would be held for 60 days. So now I have no way for my customers to contact me for 60 days. They are useless and unethical in their practices of customer service. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY for website or email hosting!!!"

"Decent product, but bad shipping procedure. My postcards were not boxed or shrinkwrapped to keep them in a stack during shipping. They were just thrown haphazardly into an oversized paper envelope and sent out. During shipping, the cards knocked and bumped into each other, causing dents and tears on some of them. These cards are supposed to be handed (in person) to potential clients. Now I have a bunch that are not presentable, even to my cat. I was amazed how bad the packaging was, considering VistaPrint does a lot of advertising through different media outlets."
"I am a state government inspector who screwed up my business card proof that the state ordered so I turned to Vistaprint for an out of pocket purchase for replacements. I ordered the cards and a few days later started reading one bad review after another. I have worried about the poor quality that I might be getting in the mail for over a week. They arrived this afternoon and I am extremely pleased. I am not sure what may have happened with so many people, but my cards look exactly as displayed when I ordered them with excellent clarity and vibrant colors. I am sure that I will be the envy of the office because the quality and design are much nicer than what all of us just received through the state."
"I ordered cards via their website after hearing about them on the radio. For about half the price that I would have paid a local retailer, I received beautiful cards that I will be proud to hand out in court and to clients (I'm an attorney.) It was super-easy to order the cards and design them on VistaPrint's website, as well."

"I ordered 500 business cards and the quality is catastrophic. The cut is not straight so the cards are not rectangular. in certain cases the edges are colored by whatever is on the opposite side of the cut. The 300g paper is quite flimsy too. Some of the cards were damaged in transport and had crushed corners.
Afterwards they might be cheap but if you cant use the cards then it amounts to burning the money paid to vistaprint. "
"I understand that no company is perfect and no matter how a good the company, there will always be some issues. With that said, I can confidently say that Vista Print is an all around terrible company. I gave them the benefit of the doubt several times until I determined that they are complete garbage. Quick recap: First job was business cards. Out of 2,500 of them, only a few hundred were actually usable because the corners we so smashed in the shipping process. I called and was assured that it wouldn't happen again. Re-ordered the business cards along with 2,500 letterhead cover pages. AGAIN, the business cards and the letter head where so smashed that the majority were not usable. Called them several times to try to get a refund. They agreed to send me a new print of both jobs. This time the business cards were put into 2 boxed and well handled. Its just to bad that most of them were actually printed crooked and had a big white strip along the side. Plus the blue color on the first few hundred where completely different from the blue color from the next few hundred. Just plain terrible. Oh, and I almost forgot, the letter head was all smashed up again."
"Terrible customer support.. They sent me two orders, even though I just made one order of cards. They charged me for both orders and refused to give me my money back!! I'll never use them again:-("
"i used vista print for ordering christening invitations as they were on offer at £4.22 for 10, i ordered them on 17th January 13, i was looking forward to taking them up on their offer and ordered 30 invitations. i rang them up on the 25th January 13 at 3pm asking why i haven't received my order yet as i were meant to received it on or before the 24/1/13 she said im sorry its running late and that it were shipped on the 18/1/13 and if i hadn't received it by 6pm she would deal with accordingly and i would have to ring back i saw no problem in that and waited in all day. bearing in mind i paid for a 7day delivery which cost me £9.27 i then rang up today the 26/01/13 and spoke to a man and told me i didn't have an account and i had not placed an order with them, by this point i was fuming i told him how do you explain the charge on my debit card and also the invoice that you sent me, he then went on to say i had to accounts with them and they couldn't find me because of that even though this was the first time id used the company and i registered when i was paying for my order.:S he then went on and told me that my order had not been placed even after the invoice being forwarded to them via email, he didn't apologies for his mistake and blamed me after he looked at the email invoice. i asked him when my parcel will be delivered and he told me that the estimated day is incorrect and they deliver basically when they feel like it and i would receive my order on 1/2/13 meaning it will have been 2 week and 1 day for them to get to me. i told him that that was unacceptable and that i want a refund for my postage he told me he couldn't do that and he could only replace an item which hasn't been received and it would take another 7days to get to me meaning i will still have to wait 2 week for my order to come through the post even if it were on time. my partner could see me getting angry so he took the phone off me and told him i wanted a refund of the order and we didn't want the invitations now and we would go else where for them, he told him that to cancel the order we would have to pay because what we paid wouldn't cover the cost of cancelling an order, he asked to speak to a manager he then told him he was the manager which was a pure an utter lie.......my partner then asked him do you understand the saying the customer is always right in sales and asked for a refund of the money, the customer service man was then swearing saying he will not refund or cancel the order and shouting at my partner down the phone on loudspeaker and halfway through shouting at us started speaking a different language and hung up..... i hope this company phone calls are reordered because im going to trading standard with their supposed customer service, they clearing can not provide the service which is needed, speak to ppl like something on the bottom of their shoe, try to blame you for their fault, their attitude overall is disgraceful
And i haven't even received my order yet, god help me i will be looking to expose them for what they are. i should of looked at the reviews of what ppl have put because i totally agree and i wouldn't of ordered from them if i had known what hassle this has caused."
"Recently I had a quantity of 500 business cards printed out with Vistaprint. They were full color and double sided matte (used the upgrade in stock quality) shipped for three day delivery. I had researched this printing company and was very hesitant to utilize them due to the numerous negative comments that had been posted, however decided to give them a try regardless. I'm happy that I did.
I'm not sure how knowledgeable many of the negative comments are that have been posted. Several years back I had worked as a print designer and worked very closely with a few printing companies. Although I now design aesthetic products (handbags, home decor, graphics / shapes, etc.) I do have a understanding as to what is to be expected from a standard printing company.
The average turnaround time for most print shops can vary from 5 to 12 business days. Vista print received my art, printed, and mailed the cards in a total of three days, from the east coast to the midwest! I had no expectations of this ever happening as this is crazy fast!
Although Vistaprint advertises free business cards, I that there will be some cost with taxes, shipping, and any sort of upgrade. For the cards I payed just under 100 (with several upgrades). Now, with your average offset printing company the cost for setting up a one sided card will often run around 100, and that's not even including the printing. To get 500 cards, full color + double sided + 3 days shipping is well beyond a great price. Most print companies I'm sure can order one or two color cards for much less, maybe even with some rubber "embossing". These cards look like what they are, cheap and not professional.
I noticed quite a few comments in regards to the color not being as vibrant as what was hoped for, the colors on the product not matching what was seen on screen. Any time that you get something printed from a printer, the final artwork has to be set up as what is called CMYK color. The color utilized on the screen is always going to be what is called RGB. RGB color is created by light and creates a completely different variety of colors than what will happen on paper. The cards will never appear as vibrant as is seen on screen, after all the colors are formed with LIGHT not ink.
CMYK as it implies utilizes four inks, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and K... forgot the name but it's the Black. Each color is printed one at a time, yellow and cyan (a bright blue) mix together to make green. Dark green by adding black or Magenta. Using only 4 colors means that there are certain colors that simply can not be printed (there are ways around this with Pantones, but that's a totally different issue and will cost more). For example, Mountain Due green is never going to happen with CMYK. Mountain Due actually patented that color so that only they can utilize this special mixed green ink for their products. Magenta is a pinkish purple. In order to make red, M and Y have to be mixed. If a vibrant Merlot color is desired, it will print out brown. With those four colors it is able to print the colors that you see in a color magazine, however that's it. If your final document isn't set up in CMYK color and you haven't made a print out, asume that the end product will look slightly different (especially true with subtle details and colors as well as without a printshop proof).
The only warning that I can say is that the "default stock" for cards is 90 lbs. (?) In my opinion business cards should be printed on nothing less than 120 lbs. and is the reason why I upgraded my paper. The upgraded paper is standard card thickness and the quality is superb.
The last thing that I would like to cover is their minimum quantity. 250 for business cards is an extremely low that in most cases would not be excepted, however Vistaprint does.
All in all Vistaprint did a great job on my cards. I would not utilize them for any job that isn't listed online. If I wanted for my cards to be cut down at a different size, Vistaprint is NOT the place to go (crop marks will mean nothing). If I wanted to utilize pantone colors, Vistaprint is once again not the place to go. If I want anything that strays outside of what is listed, they are not the place to go. They ARE however excellent for what they offer and yes, printing costs a bit of money. They happen to cost less than the others for what you get, however I would expect to pay something (kinda obvious). In the future I would NEVER expect to receive my cards in three days (not to mention that I got the cards delivered in the morning). 2 days to print + 3 days delivery would be what I consider to be extremely fast for print shops.
I don't know anyone or work there myself, just feel that there are many comments that may be posted due to a lack of knowledge as how printing works. I'm sure that you can go to Kinko's and print out a document in RGB color, but you can't for any serious print job.
"I have used Vistaprint for 4 years now, I used them for mine and my sister's wedding invitations, my father's business materials, mine and my husband's business materials and even to print items for resale. A few times an item has been messed up, mostly it got damaged in the shipping process, but all you have to do is call them and they'll send a replacement right away. And if you play with quantities, sign up for both the free pro advantage account and use another account to get their regular emails you can get amazing deals, I once spent $50 and saved over $750 on their regular prices. I highly recommend Vistaprint for all of your printing and graphic design needs!"
"I ordered 10 calendars from Vistaprint for Xmas and I was very happy with the product. The quality of the paper and the prints was great and they looked fantastic. To be honest, I had read so many bad reviews both about the service and the quality of Vistaprint products that I almost didn't place an order with them. The reason I did was because they are the only company I could find in the UK that allowed me to customise their calendars to such an extent. I am happy I did order with them as I was very satisfied with both the product and the delivery time. I must say however that their delivery charges are astronomical and once added on (right at the end)to the end product they make a big difference to the price. However, the overall price was still economical and worth the expense. "
"I've been using Vistaprint for 3 years for my home business. I rely on them to print the cards I design for resale and for promotional materials. Honestly I am shocked by these reviews. I have used several print companies, the only one better (but they provide a different type of service) is Moo Prints. If you visit places like Etsy and read the forums you'll find many, many professionals using and loving Vistaprints. Aside from using Vistaprints for several years I have no other affiliations with them. I was just shocked at all the negative reviews.
As for the reviews talking about how long it takes for the items to come. When you order you can pick your ship date, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days or 21 days... I have done all the different shipping dates and often they ship sooner than what is listed.
"DO NOT SHOP VISTAPRINT UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO STOLEN. MY DAUGHTER SHOPPED WITH VISTAPRINT AND HAD HER CARD INFO STOLEN. I SHOPPED WITH THEM, AGAINST HER ADVICE, AND HAD MY CREDIT CARD INFO STOLEN. DO NOT SHOP VISTAPRINT!!!"
