"Worst customer service ever.

This has been one of the worst experiences from an online company.

I ordered contacts and brita filters from Visiondirect. I used some promotional codes on the order.

They shipped one portion (from drugstore.com) and I received it. My order screen said that my contacts had also shipped, but no tracking # was availale.

I waited 7 days after the order had supposedly shipped and after the 7th day, I called Visiondirect.

The CSR I spoke to told me that the contact portion of the order had been cancelled because I use the promotional code *that the system accepted*. They cancelled one portion of the order and accepted the other. This has got to be illegal and is unquestionably a deceptive business practice.


I went through all of that hassle for nothing. I waited 7 days for contacts that never came. Now I am in desperate need of contacts and am forced to buy them retail. Being a poor student, this really hurts my finances.

Do not deal with this company. I will be notifying the BBB and FTC of this experience."

"I would not recommend this store to anyone. The site showed "free shipping on any order with no minimun purchase", I didn't show the shipping fee until I press "Place order", and the receipt showed shipping fee of $6.99. Yet processing fee for $1.95

I tried to cancel the order and it didnt let me cancel. I called customer service 800 numbers and waited for 30 mins and noone answered the phone. "

"Ordered from Vision Direct for Christmas present on 13 dec 2010. Got confirmation back straight away. Said 7-10 working days. Rang 2-3 times & talked with operator who assures that the glasses are genuine Pradas from Italy.
Didn't arrive for xmas. Rang again, said there was a hold up from Italy. They have not contacted me once to tell me delivery times even though they say 7-10 days. It has now been nearly 5 weeks with NO response from them? The tracking number message has not changed from the day I ordered (left dispatch- 4-7 days).

I have rang another 2-3 times each week & every time I ring she says next week for delivery, this has happened for the last 3 weeks with No apologies, but last time she said she could refund me. Fat lot of good that is after waiting for a month so far. I still have my doubts whether they are the real deal – sunnies & company?

Not waiting longer, will get refund & go support a local business. If u order from this company, be prepared to wait at least a month."

"I thought if I ordered glassed from Vision Direct they would be more reliable than other smaller companies. 2 weeks later no parcel. I emailed and waited 3 days for a response. Was then advised that it will be another 11 days! Way past my husband's birthday! "

"I spent an hour with Dr. Dennis Miller on February 7th, 2012. My Lasik surgery was not a success (in 2005) and my exam results had changed so drastically that he gave me a very detailed exam after their technicians did all of the preliminary testing. I placed my order in good faith and gave Vision Direct my updated credit card information.

Two days later (after I tried out contacts he supplied), I placed my order with Vision Direct, as I have for years. I received a confirmation of my order and an expected ship date. The next day I received an e-mail that my order had been cancelled because their representative called my Optometrist and was informed I hadn’t been there for an exam in the last two years. Really? My Optometrist said he did not receive their call. Then I faxed his prescription to their office. Two days later I called their number was informed that the fax changed nothing. If I wanted to order contacts from their company I would have to place a new order. Really?

I don’t have to do business with them at all. I have placed my order with another company and I will file all of the appropriate complaints about their FRAUDULENT verification process. The person who reported that they talked to my doctor should be on the unemployment line Monday.

"VisionDirect totally dropped the ball. Their customer service is frustrating and far from reliable.

I needed my order rushed (and ordered 3 day shipping). I emailed the address they told me to contact and never received a human reply. I called and they said if I had contacted them earlier they would have been able to help. I do not recommend this company at all."

"Same story as other reviewers - takes a very long time to fulfill orders and non responsive to customer emails...

I've placed 2 orders with vision direct in the last couple of months. The first order was a disaster and eventually (after 2 weeks) cancelled by VD as they were unable to fulfill. I decided to give them a second chance and placed an order for contacts on 18 Jan. I emailed them a copy of my prescription that same day, referencing my order #. 2 days later I received an email from them telling me they couldn't complete the order as they needed my Dr's contact details. So I responded, attaching the prescription again (with Dr's contact details). I heard nothing from them so on 23 Jan I emailed asking for the status of the order. Still no reply by 26th so emailed them again. Then on 28th I called them to be told that they weren't able to fulfill the order as they didn't have the Dr's details!!! When I explained that I had emailed the details and my prescription 2 times already I was asked if I would like to cancel the order!! There was no explanation as to why there had been no responses to my emails.

I ended up emailing my prescription yet again, so hopefully they will fulfill the order soon (but not holding my breath)."

"WASTE OF TIME. After one week they could not get the lenses (Air Optix) in stock. Complete waste of time. After one week of telling me it would take 1-3 days more to get in stock they thentold me it would be a few days more.

I should have listened to the very many other reviewers here who had similar difficulty.

Don't waste your time with these people."

"This is the first time I used Vision Direct. Placed an order online and received notice three days later saying is shipped, and expect delivery in three business days. Track the order online and see no movement after five business days. Called them to see if they could track down the order, “…give it 10 business days…”. What? Eight business days later, check online status, still no status change. Went to two local USPS in person to see if they could check, and according to their record, it was never received by the USPS, went to UPS, who originally sent it, no records there either. Called back Vision Direct eight business days after shipping, “…we can’t do anything till the tenth days…we could either send another one out or give you refund”. Tenth day came, called to get my refund back and told them what to do with the missing package. Amazed me how they made no attempt to track the order, make you wait 10 business days before they refund or send you another one. What a way to run business."

"Ordered and paid for my glasses with a cc. Two weeks after they was due, I rang to follow them up. Their message made me a little worried that I had been scammed an a quick Google search didn't exactly ease my mind, but I finally, after 5 weeks, I received my order.

It happens to be 3 weeks after my wife’s birthday - so of course I had already had to run out and buy her another gift. Expensive cheap glasses, but at least they arrived.
