"I ordered a years worth of biofinity contact lens's which are usually 51.99 per box I got a 25% discount and saved even more because i was buying a years worth i got a years worth of contacts for about 91.00 including shipping. If i were to get them from my eyedoctor i would have paid triple the price i am so happy saved about $105.00 i am located in NJ and i got the order in about 3-4 days trust worthy seller and fast shipping and great customer service."

Apparently VisionDirect uses an obscure shipping company (International Priority Packet) for international shipping, which does not provide tracking numbers! Thus, all their customer service can tell me to do is call my post office and the customs, who cannot do much without a tracking number either. VisionDirect will eventually reship the lenses at no cost if they don't show up, but I need them now. "
"I never write reveiws but I felt that I had to this time. I ordered contacts from VisionDirect.com on Saturday 4/28/2012 and received them by Wednesday 4/2/2012. The contacts might have even arrived on Tuesday but I didn't check the mail so I don't know. My contacts are an expensive brand, so i had shopped around online until I had found the best price. After ordering I became worried that the price was too good to be true so i looked up reviews and they were bad. It scared me so I called VisionDirect to confirm they had my order correct, The lady I spoke to was very pleasant on the phone and found my order right away. Then I called my doctor to ask if VisionDirect was reputable and they said they get confirmation calls from VD all the time and NO patient has ever complained about VD service. Does anyone take the time to write a good review? Or do we only take the time to complain? I saved $40.00 on my contacts through VisionDirect.com and if I didn't write this review it would be a disservice to everyone."
"Ordered contacts from VisionDirect and received the package a week or so later. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the contacts they shipped are of the wrong base curve (O.D.'s fault; they supposedly fixed the error). So I called VD and the OD, sent the corrected prescription to VD, and they immediately exchanged contacts without any fees or addtl/return shipping charges. Excellent service!"
"I was skeptical after seeing these bad reviews (but why would you post something negative simply because the package had ants on it? Really? How can you even think that was VISION DIRECT'S fault?)
Anyway, after researching all of the other top contact lens sellers, Vision Direct was by FAR the cheapest with the new customer coupon code. I decided to take the chance. I ordered on April 11th, and the contacts arrived at my house on April 20th. Even with an order status in the interim of being out of stock and having to "order my lenses from the manufacturer," it still only took 9 days including a weekend.
All of the contacts were exactly what I ordered and expire in 2015 or 2016, so they're 100% fresh. Based on my experience, I will be recommending these guys wholeheartedly."
"Just received my shipment and upon opening the Direct Vision box, it was literally SWARMING WITH HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS OF ANTS!!! I had to throw the box in my sink and rinse it with water to get rid of the ants. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS!!!I still have ants crawling all over me my sink, my kitchen....have been on the phone with customer service for over 40 mins and talked to 4 people with no resolution."

"This is probably the first time I have written a bad review about a service. I read the reviews about visiondirect and though the majority was bad there was one positive in them, so I thought I’ll give the company a benefit of the doubt. I followed one of the reviews suggestions and checked that the stock was available prior to ordering. Visiondirect confirmed that the item was available so I placed an order. It took almost 2 months for the order to arrive and that was only after I told them I wanted a refund.
On a positive note, the item was as described and was received in very good condition. But did I receive any compensation or an incentive to buy from them again? NO. For this reviewer I will not buy from them again. "

I reordered my lenses by hitting the order again button on website, and when I queried their whereabouts a couple of weeks later, a charmless customer service operative told me bluntly I should have read the small print that it can take up to 20 days for order to arrive. While prices are ok, having bought lenses from them for a few years now I have noticed their performance decline steadily. Going elsewhere next time."
