"I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for top quality computers and service. While my experience wasn't totally perfect, most of the problems were not Velocity Micro's fault, and I must say that they were really helpful in resolving them.

I ordered a Gamer's Edge 1500 on August 29, and was given a ship date of September 17. The system actually shipped a week later than that, but given the delays some other computer builders are running right now I wasn't surprised - some of the new Core Duo procs and other new hardward to go with them are in short supply right now.

When my computer arrived it was in good shape, extremely well built and put together. There were a couple loose screws in the case but nothing I couldn't fix myself - I think they'd just been left in there accidently by the builder. After 2-3 boots i started having trouble getting the system to boot - and crashes when it did start. The tech support people were extremely friendly and helpful and I never had to wait more than 1 min to talk to someone. After calling a couple of different times, trying a couple different things, we determined that it was a faulty graphics card - not VM's fault - so they overnighted me one, and it arrived the very next day. I dropped that one in and I can honestly say that I now have my absolute dream system! This thing rocks!"

"After years of buying "behind the curve" PCs I decided to reward myself with a top of the line Velocity Micro Gamers Edge PCX with the very latest Intel processor, NVidia graphics card and Creative Labs sound card. I opted for additional graphics tweaking (along with beefed up cooling) and separate OS and application hard drives. VM emailed me regularly regarding order status (very nice touch after dealing with Mr. Dell for the last 10 years!) and my unit arrived in less than two weeks. Setup was the easiest I've ever done and I own/run a chemical testing lab with 6 servers and 50 work stations! A small issue with my analog mic sent me to the VM tech support guys and after less than 5 minutes on hold on a Saturday afternoon I was speaking with an AMERICAN who was not working from some tech script from hell. The issue was a Creative Labs problem and NOT a VM problem. A $50 USB mic substituted for my old one did the trick. Their sales staff has followed up with emails asking about my experience with VM and, as for the new rig, well let's just say IT SMOKES!! A great company and one that will be getting all my future business."

"Velocity Micro is a great gaming computer to invest your gaming computer dollars in. The purchasing and now a support experience has proven this. I received a response from David Wild after only about a 20 minute wait. He was able to quickly diagnose that the CMOS Bios needed to be reset and re-configured. Great Service Velocity Micro!

"I have owned a Velocity computer for only 4 days but I can already see why they have the reputation they do….an outstanding machine right out of the box. My story is however a delivery story. When I ordered my computer I gave a post office box address along with my street address…big mistake.
The shipping department saw the box number and sent the machine to me via the US Postal Service.
It turned out that delivery was critical…I was moving to another state and was depending on the new machine and its advanced video components to wow a client soon after my move. I hadn’t shared all of this with Velocity Micro…who would have known? 4 days before my move I called for a tracking # and was told that “there was no tracking #” and that the USPS was in charge of delivery.
It was then that I shared with Trace (VM senior sales executive) my concerns. Trace said he would look into it and took the responsibility of finding out exactly what could be done. This was all going on right before a major holiday and the machine was a very high end configuration with extraordinary video hardware add ons.
The day before my move Trace assured me that he would get me what I needed for my presentation and wished me well on my long drive to Oregon.
The US Postal Service told them they could only guess that the machine might be delivered within 2 weeks or so. Trace had someone work over the Memorial Day weekend to put together ANOTHER machine. I landed in Depoe Bay Oregon and woke up the next morning to the sound of the UPS truck arriving with the morning delivery of the most perfect Computer I have ever owned. Trace still hasn’t told me if they ever received word where the Original machine was.
I don’t think any other computer company would go this far to help out a customer.

"I contacted VM support because of problems with my computer operating system which appeared to be corrupted. Because of this I decided to reinstall the operating system following backup of files which I wanted to keep.

The technical support people, (Dave, Sean, and Tiffany) kept at it until problems encountered in the installation were solved and my computer was operating properly again. This type of value added support is the reason why my wife and I have 3 VM computers and that they are the company from whom I continue to buy new machines at replacement time."

"I’m a pretty hardcore gamer. I’ve normally build my own gaming PC. I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz around the Velocity Micro’s gaming PC and their reviews have been top notch. I decided rather than going through the hassle of building my own when it came time to upgrade that I would buy a Velocity Micro PC. My driving force for this decision was because I wanted to improve my gaming experience and be more competitive online. I called then up, explained what I was looking for and within a few days, I received my Velocity Micro Z-55 PC. I ordered it with 6GB of RAM, SSD HD, SLI video and Windows 7 x64. Right out of the box, this PC was configured with every latest drivers and Windows updates. All I had to do was install my games. My overall experience can be summed up like this. This PC’s performance is the equivalent of driving a car from Nascar. It’s a rocket. My overall gaming experience is way better. When competing online in a FPS the PC feels like I’m able to react quicker being more responsive and my shots tend to register quicker. The Z-55 is truly a professional gaming PC and I recommend it to anyone who wants to take their gaming experience to the next level."

"I bought a Velocity Micro Edge Z5 for my son. Although I didn't buy a Lexus model, I must say that the quality and effort that the technician put into this machine is phenomenal. It was well worth the wait. If my wife had to the patience to wait for a new PC, I would buy her a Velocity Micro PC too. I would purchase another Velocity Micro in the future."

"My Velocity Micro system was used to review games at Ars Technica, and when I began working for Penny Arcade I liked it so much I purchased it outright. The system has been stable, fast, and easy to use. I couldn't ask for a better rig for high-level PC gaming. "

"I ordered the computer and had it in house in about three weeks. It came updated with all the latest drivers. I opened the case to check the configuration and make sure that the cards were all properly seated and was pleasantly suprised by the orderly and clean interior. I had ordered the system before their new website was opened. They upgraded the case and hard drives and memory to the state of the art although it was not specified in the initial order. The system has worked flawlessly except for a problem with the Beta release of the BIOS that came with the computer occasionally weirding out until I updated it. Oh, did I mention, the system screams in games? When it is time for a new computer, I will call Velocity."
