"I was NOT impressed by this seller, they stuffed my text book into the cheapest/smallest mailing pkg. available,which in turn due to its size,ripped through the shipping process. To make matters worse, when i got the book,the cover was covered with glue and sticky residue. I understand what it means to be "used", but their is no reason to send someone a product that filthy,there are too many other sellers to have to put up with this type of service, look around and try someone else."

"I want the ValoreBooks rep to see this. I WILL NEVER EVER BE A CUSTOMER OF YOURS AGAIN!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU GUYS DOING THAT REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE YOUR CONTACT NUMBER BUSY FOR 5 HOURS STRAIGHT!!!! WHEN I OR ANYONE ELSE PLACES AN ORDER WITH YOUR COMPANY, GET OFF YOUR LAZY BUTTS AND SEND US A CONFIRMATION EMAIL!!!! I WAS CHARGE MORE THAN I WAS QUOTED AND HAVE NO ONE TO TALK TO ABOUT IT! "I ordered a book on 12/23/11. I never received a confirmation email or a confirmation number. But somehow on 12/28/11 they took the $17.24 out my account. I figured the book must be on its way. I never received the book and emailed Valorebooks.com. I was told there was trouble with the website and my order was cancelled and that I would receive my payment back in 3-5 business. I NEVER received my payment and NO ONE is responding to me about what is going with my money! I was told once that they couldnt track my order ummmm YOU NEVER GAVE ME ONE AND CANCELLED MY ORDER but you sure did charge me for the book. I told them I have the proof they charged and NO ONE has done anything to help me! Highly disappointed and upset!"

"I purchased a book that was supposed to include a dvd, as required for the class I was taking. The description for the book specifically stated that it came "with dvd". When I received the book, the dvd was not included. I contacted Valorebooks customer service department right away via email and someone named Jermario got back to me shortly after stating that they cannot guarantee all dvds will be included with the books. Ok, fine. No big deal. He also included step by step instructions in the same email as to how to return the book. I followed the steps just as he listed them and per my tracking number with USPS, the book arrived to the seller on January 19th. I have still not received a refund or heard anything at all. I've contacted Valorebooks customer service department two times since January 19th with no reply. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will urge anyone looking for books to never use this company. "

"I got a great deal on a book from ValoreBooks. The order shipped promptly and came in great shape, much better than I expected.

Since this is a website, like eBay or Half.com, that has sellers selling through the site, you can't always expect the same quality of service. I'd suggest only buying from reliable sellers."

"I was very satisfied with my first time order from Valore Books. It only took 3 days to get from Buffalo to NJ via standard USPS book rate and the book was as listed; used in virtually brand new condition.I will definitely purchase from them next semester."

"Buyer Beware!!!Don't purchase books from Valore Books. You won't receive your item and you wont' get your moneyback. Luckily I used paypal and filed a dispute which sided with me so I got a refund. Valore Books would not respond to any of my emails nor did they respond to Paypal. "

"I ordered a new International Edition engineering textbook here on Sunday with priority mail. I received the book on Wednesday that was shipped from China. I was originally worried about shipping times since this was my first time buying textbooks online but the shipping was indeed quick - 3 days! The IE version is so worth it too as compared with my classmates' $200+ old, used, and heavy hardcovers.

The transaction of the site was fast and clean.
I will probably use this site again next semester if necessary and I highly recommended others too because I saved about 35% as opposed to my campus' bookstores.


Tips for New Students for Saving Serious $$$:
- Order the International Edition if possible
- Google the coupons/promotion codes for the site
- MAKE SURE YOU ORDER EARLY JUST IN CASE (factor in an extra week to the shipping when making purchasing decisions)

"I have had nothing but poor service with this company. I got my book in good time but when I returned it in good condition the warehouse did not accept it. I spoke with a supervisor and she stated they have been having trouble with this and would refund my money. I would have it in 2-3 days. It has now been over a week and no money, no return phone calls, and now my back won't refund the $33.00 overdraft fees I have been charged. I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer service let alone you can't even get through to anyone."

"Competivie prices for textbook and fast shipping. Although, one of my book is a little dirty and the corners are a bit ruffled, but that can be from shipping, and for a $30 saving, it's worth it."
