“This customer ordered a closeout item which clearly states only 2 units are available http://www.vacdepot.com/product-info/69 . The terms clearly listed before you order are "Final Sale, No Backorders". The customer ordered 8 anyway. We took a few days to email other vendors and locate all 8 of the item. We were unsuccessful, but not for the lack of trying.
We emailed and let the customer know we have only the 2 listed on the Website - not the 8 they requested. We also offered a similar stock item with the same 60% discount as the closeout, or we would cancel the order. They elected to cancel the order. No items were ever sent and no charges were ever posted.
Our Website requires you to see the description of this closeout items before you order which shows the special terms (and quantity available) at the top in very obvious bold face type. It is up to each customer to read description of items they order - and we strongly encourage everyone to do that on every purchase.”
