"I had an excellent shopping experience with this merchant. My order was filled in a timely manner and I received excellent communication from Unistorage. I was provided e-mail updates and e-mailed a shipping notice with tracking number. I placed my order early Saturday morning and the Thanksgiving holiday fell in the shipping period and I still received my new hard drive (from Los Angeles, California to Houston, Texas) within 11 days of ordering it. I was totally satisfied with the service that I received. Plus, I got a BRAND NEW, Western Digital WD3200JD, 320 GB SATA hard drive, with full 3 year warranty, for $105 + $3 shipping! Where else can you get a deal like that?!!! I highly recommend this merchant and will shop with them again."

"Purchase went well. Bought a couple battery backup units at a good price. My only complaint is that their Web site is not very good. I was looking around for other items to buy, but many categories they list had no items in them for sale.

One box was busted up when it arrived, but that is probably the fault of UPS."

"My lesson: always check resellerratings.com FIRST!

I placed an order for an APC UPS on Wed. July 12th. For the first few days I didn't give it another thought -- the website gave them an air of professionalism (IMO, anyway). So, Monday rolls around, and all I've gotten is the standard "thanks for placing your order" e-mail that I got back on Wednesday. I called early in the morning to check status, the shipping department wasn't in yet and they would let me know something in a few hours. Waiting... called again, still no confirmation from shipping. Waited until after lunch, called again... still no confirmation. Someone did tell me that it would be shipped out that day, however he did not have tracking info from the shippers. So a little after 5pm I still have heard nothing, so I call one last time -- they'll have all the tracking & shipping info ready tomorrow (Tuesday). No less than 5 minutes after the phone call, I get an e-mail saying my order has been delayed for 2 more days due to "unexpected delays." I respond asking what the hold-up is. This is the reply I got:

Our specified order processing time on the website is 1-3 business days. You ordered on the 12th (wed), the order was processed and is shipping 2 business days later then the anticipated timeframe. We do apologize for the slight delay. I’m not sure who confirmed it would “ship” out today. We don’t have 100% confirmation until our warehouse confirms the order is in transit of course, in which case we usually can also provide tracking at that point, etc….
I’ll try to get you more details ASAP on this shipment. We appreciate your patience! Thanks.

Fine, whatever. Now it's Wednesday afternoon, I just called again to check the status (I've heard nothing since Monday), turns out it was delivered this morning. Would have been nice to have been notified that it was being shipped, considering the e-mail said "...will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before Estimate Ship Date: (07/19/2006) You will receive an Order Shipped email when this order has shipped."
While it is true they have very courteous people answering the phone, the overall level is service is still sub-par in my opinion. Bottom line, if you want your items on time, I would suggest staying away. I most likely will NOT order from UniStorage again."

"Ordered via unistorage website before business hours on a Monday, the were the only store that had the parts I needed *in stock* (their website listed them as in stock). Placed order, got the usual thank you for creating account, thank you for your order e-mails.

By Wednesday with no news/e-mail, I called. Nice guy answered and said I should be getting a tracking number Thursday. OK, pretty dang slow order processing, but if they're the only ones with the parts, what're you going to do?

Thursday afternoon. No tracking number/e-mail. Sent e-mail to them requesting it again. Later that night checked my acct. and found I hadn't even been billed yet! No response to e-mail.

Friday. Called again. Nice guy transferred me to nice lady. Said parts had not been in stock until that week! Should be getting tracking number soon as parts had been shipped.

Monday. No tracking number. No parts. No e-mail.

The Good:
Nice service staff.
Easy ordering from site.

The Bad:

Inaccurate website information as to inventory. Never would have bought the parts had I known they were not in stock and just waited 'til my regular supplier had them.

Terrible communication. If you want the info, you have to bug them for it; no guarantees you'll get any regardless.

Shipping costs high. Though the parts were cheaper, the additional cost of shipping exceeded my normal ependiture at my regular supplier by more than double for the *exact same* shipping service. EDIT: On receipt of parts only one had additional packaging done, the other was in the mfr. box. Can't claim the extra $$ was for additional packing.

Very slow order processing.

Will not order from again.

EDIT: Received parts the following Friday. The math: 11 days 'til I got the product - 3 day shipping = 8 days before the product left their warehouse. Not good if your're in a hurry, and doesn't make 3-day shipping a worthwhile expenditure."

"Had to dispute credit card charge with my bank.
After 3 weeks, 4 phone calls, 4 faxes, 4 emails they finally told me Epson disqualified them for professional ink. But they still did not refund my credit card charge!!! "
