“We are sorry for your frustration and have reviewed the details of your order and shipment. You signed for your appliances on 11/2 and did not note any damage to the shipping invoice. You then contacted us (2) days later on 11/4 to report damage, not within 24 hours as you claim.
We note the importance of inspecting for damage and reporting it within 24 hours in 4 places for your convenience:
1. On the confirmation email you received immediately after placing your order
2. On the invoice you received when the order was processed
3. On the tracking email you received when the order shipped
4. It is posted on our return policy on our website
So, we're sorry for the inconvenience but this is why we stress the importance of this policy to each customer prior to shipping. We make it very clear so that customers know they need to inspect carefully at the time of delivery and report damage immediately. We offered to return the washer outside of the 24 hr damage window for a restocking fee and this offer still stands. Restocking fees are normal for retailers selling special order appliances because shipping and related expenses are costly plus we cannot look to recoup any losses from the freight carrier since you did not note any damage when the items arrived. Thank you.”
