I ordered the Garmin Nuvi 880 on 3/2/09.
1. The product was already registered when I received the unit. It was registered to someone in Canada (which I found out when I called Garmin). TrustedDealer dodged my questioning about the registration and offered me a $20 credit.
2. They had convinced me to pay $79 for a 5-year extended warranty which included 2 free map upgrades for 2010 and 2011. However when I called Garmin, a customer service rep said that Garmin does not provide free map upgrades even for a registered product. In addition, the warranty text did not cover physical damage (which I had been promised when I signed up for the extended warranty).
3. I called TrustedDealer to rescind the warranty and have the $79 refunded back to me. They refused to do so stating that the warranty was "tied" to the unit. Therefore, I am sending back the product (at my own shipping cost) back to the vendor. I am never doing business with them again. I have also notified a Garmin customer service rep of this vendor's bad business practices.
***Update on 4/2/09***
I received notification that a refund had been posted to my account. I called TD to confirm the amount. They charged me 15% restocking fee for the unit and the warranty even though I was promised no restocking fee when I called for the RMA (return merchandise authorization) number. Hence, I am starting a billing dispute with my credit card company.

My wife and I ordered two brand new GPS units from this "TRUSTED" dealer through the Amazon website. We felt that if Amazon dealt with them they'd be OK. We received the two items that cost us $175 each and they both had missing parts. After their Customer service ACKNOWLEDGED they has shipped the two units with parts missing, they said TWICE that they would be sending us the missing parts but they never did and they did not contact us any more.

Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 885T advertised on trusteddealer.com at $548.00 with free FedEx overnight delivery. Two days later I was contacted by their rep saying all was set to go, just confirming shipping address but wanted to add a couple of things to make the GPS device preform to its ultimate. I declined. Next day I received an invoice in my email stating the total was $681.25 which included the GPS, insurance and SHIPPING CHARGES. I called to complain but the rep was so rude, saying if I wanted a discount just to come out and ask for it! I asked for his supervisor and he said he was the "boss"! I told him to cancel my order and he said it already shipped out, that I could refuse it when Fed Ex tried to deliver it (later I found out it did not go out until the next evening).
Now, after many calls, they issued a credit for $525.00 ($156 less than they charged on my credit card for a product I never received). When I called to complain they repeatedly hung up on my. Finally, I told "Allen Marcus" or "Brian" ir "Michael" (the voice was similar but the name kept changing) that I was going to file a claim with my bank and he said, "f**k your bank and you too. We're going to sell your car". INSANE - RUDE This is the worst shopping experience of my LIFE.

These guys are anything but "Trusted".
Instead of new item, they sent me an opened item, which was missing warranty and some other minor items listed as part of the included items.
When I called they said they will replace it.
Two weeks later they issued me a credit for $56 less than the item cost, although I never asked for credit.
A big scam. Do not deal with "trusted dealer".

I expect that their offices have bars on the windows; cause behind bars is where they should all be. Have NEVER been treated so dishonestly in my entire life. HIGH PRESSURE is an understatement. When I said "no" to their demand that I purchase additional warranty, they shipped the product and the invoice they enclosed billed me for the warranty I did not want, and..they activated the warranty before I even received the GPS so they could refuse to refund me the cost saying "the extended warranty has already been activated". It took me several months of dispute time thru American Express..........but I prevailed!!! Trusted Dealer had to eat the cost of the extended warranty....and I hope they choke on it. A hateful bunch; from top to bottom. I even contacted their parent company "Digital Delivered"...........more bad apples there too. Anyhow...I did get my $$$ back; but hope this info will cause everyone to take heed.

BUYER BEWARE - NOT a trusted dealer!!
They confirmed an order for a Garmin Nuvi 5000 then they said they couldn't ship it because they were out of stock. I went to their site and they had it available but at a much higher price. They obviously have it in stock but perhaps posted a wrong price - be very careful - this was suppose to be a birthday gift and now I am stuck looking again. When you call customer service or sales they take a super long time to answer the phone and when they finally did come to the phone I explained what I saw and have for information - and they hung up on me...I was being very polite and spoke to them for less than 60 seconds. Obviously they do not care. Check all the ratings - this place should go out of business with their lack of service.

Very rude customer service!!! I cannot believe they hanged up the phone on me!!! I ordered Cannon Powershot SD1000 Digital Elph 7.1 for $239 and received SD1100 instead which is $169.36. When I called to get refund, I was told that they cannot do that!!!! How on the earth!!! I have to return the camera and get the right product, but with this attitude how can I trust this company. They have to change the name of the company to untrusteddealer.com

Extremely Disapointing. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. BEWARE Borderline crooked practices at work. * Ordered a GPS for an upcoming trip, didnt arrive due to being shipped to incorrect state/address. Rude customer service team was unresponsive (led me on that they had recovered and redirected the unit - not true at time) and is now playing games around cancelling order and giving a refund. For reference: Games involve using Fedex to ship the product all over the place, claiming they havent recieved the product back and cant refund (despite the fact I have never rcvd the thing). Walks the line very well, as this status puts me in a grey area in regards to disputing with credit card company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I placed an order on 5/50. They charged my credit card immediately. When the product wasn't shipped after 5 days I canceled the order by email and by phone twice. They told me that they didn't have a way to cancel the order and that if I didn't want the camera when it arrived to just refuse the order from FedEx. What a way to do business! In any case, I disputed the charge with American Express and now I have to go through a pile of paperwork to reverse the charge. Would I recommend these guys? Not on your life. They told me on my last call (6/4) that I would not be charged a restocking fee when the camera comes back but that is yet to be scene.
I learned a good leason here. No more interet discounters. I am only buying from known reliable retailers on the net. The $5.00 bucks I might save is not worth this kind of pain. Say away from these guys unless you're into self abuse.

I saw a lot of bad reviews, and they did try to hassel me on the warranty, but I said no aand itold them to ship or cancel. Paid for 2nd day delivery, and my Garmin 370 arrived as promised. Not the most pleasant experience, but $250 less than Best Buy.

Worst customer service you can ever imagine. They are rude, keep hanging up on you. They added a extended warranty [for $79] without my agreement and wont take it off no matter what.
I would never recommended this store to anybody.

This is a TERRIBLE reseller; stay away. Their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. They do not respond to e-mail and are quite rude over the phone. I ordered a TV and also an extended warranty which they said was a factory warranty. Well, it is not a factory warranty and, from all appearances, the warranty company, Safeco, does not really exist (other than a web site with no phone number and no street address). They would not refund warranty cost, so I will have to pursue thru credit card company. I do not see how they can stay in business treating customers this way.

I don't think I've ever dealt with a company as unprofessional as this one. Thank God they pissed me off enough that I cancelled my order before they could charge me for it. This was by far, the worst experience I've ever had with a company.
