"I got a camera from ElectroBrands and a 5-year warranty from Safco Service. My camera was broken. I got no response claiming at Safeco Service web site. I sent them email and was told their web site was not working. There was no response for all my follow-up emails. Later, I found out that actually Safco Service is ElectroBrands. From previous reviews, I think they have been running such a scam for a long time. Is there any way we can stop them to keep doing this?"

"I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 265W GPS system from TrustedDealer.com. They called to sell me a 5-year warranty, which I was not going to buy, until the salesguy, Michael Nagar, told me it included 2 years of free map upgrades, which made it practically free. It took forever for the product to arrive and naturally when it did, the 5-year warranty did NOT include any mention of map upgrades. I called them back and found out (naturally) they don't offer map upgrades. They flat-out lied to sell me a $59 warranty. They already had my business! So now I am telling everyone I know not to buy from them. "

"I purchase a GPS unit through the store in December 2008, the item was sent fine. However, before my purchase I was called with an offer to buy a 5 years warranty with Safco Service, which I did. The GPS start malfunctioning and was sent to Safco for repair in January 2010. I called several times and was told to wait some more weeks, it has been over 7 months and to this date the unit has not been sent back to me. I contacted Trusteddealers because they sold the warranty to me and was told to deal directly with Safco. "

"I purchased GPS GAR255W from the TrustedDealer.com and as it appeared now, this website store is by all means not to be trusted at all. I was offered a 5 year warranty with no charge map updates for 2010 and 2011 for additional $39.00. It was explained to me by sales person that when time comes I need to go to Garmin website, enter my serial number and get those updates. Now in 2010 I went on Garmin website to have map update and I found out that I can only get it if I pay for it. I understood I was scamed by dishonest salesman (I know his name). I called the store but that salesman was not available and the other person I spoke with did not know of any free updates with the package I got when I purchased this GPS."

"I ordered a Canon camera from trusted dealer on July 1 2009 , the camera was not mailed out until I called three different times and insisted on a tracking number after 8 days of waiting for a confirmation letter . The people I talked with were not helpful and mostly rude "

"I ordered the Garmin Nuvi 880 on 3/2/09.
1. The product was already registered when I received the unit. It was registered to someone in Canada (which I found out when I called Garmin). TrustedDealer dodged my questioning about the registration and offered me a $20 credit.

2. They had convinced me to pay $79 for a 5-year extended warranty which included 2 free map upgrades for 2010 and 2011. However when I called Garmin, a customer service rep said that Garmin does not provide free map upgrades even for a registered product. In addition, the warranty text did not cover physical damage (which I had been promised when I signed up for the extended warranty).

3. I called TrustedDealer to rescind the warranty and have the $79 refunded back to me. They refused to do so stating that the warranty was "tied" to the unit. Therefore, I am sending back the product (at my own shipping cost) back to the vendor. I am never doing business with them again. I have also notified a Garmin customer service rep of this vendor's bad business practices.

***Update on 4/2/09***
I received notification that a refund had been posted to my account. I called TD to confirm the amount. They charged me 15% restocking fee for the unit and the warranty even though I was promised no restocking fee when I called for the RMA (return merchandise authorization) number. Hence, I am starting a billing dispute with my credit card company."

"My wife and I ordered two brand new GPS units from this "TRUSTED" dealer through the Amazon website. We felt that if Amazon dealt with them they'd be OK. We received the two items that cost us $175 each and they both had missing parts. After their Customer service ACKNOWLEDGED they has shipped the two units with parts missing, they said TWICE that they would be sending us the missing parts but they never did and they did not contact us any more."

"Ordered a Garmin Nuvi 885T advertised on trusteddealer.com at $548.00 with free FedEx overnight delivery. Two days later I was contacted by their rep saying all was set to go, just confirming shipping address but wanted to add a couple of things to make the GPS device preform to its ultimate. I declined. Next day I received an invoice in my email stating the total was $681.25 which included the GPS, insurance and SHIPPING CHARGES. I called to complain but the rep was so rude, saying if I wanted a discount just to come out and ask for it! I asked for his supervisor and he said he was the "boss"! I told him to cancel my order and he said it already shipped out, that I could refuse it when Fed Ex tried to deliver it (later I found out it did not go out until the next evening).

Now, after many calls, they issued a credit for $525.00 ($156 less than they charged on my credit card for a product I never received). When I called to complain they repeatedly hung up on my. Finally, I told "Allen Marcus" or "Brian" ir "Michael" (the voice was similar but the name kept changing) that I was going to file a claim with my bank and he said, "f**k your bank and you too. We're going to sell your car". INSANE - RUDE This is the worst shopping experience of my LIFE. "

"These guys are anything but "Trusted".
Instead of new item, they sent me an opened item, which was missing warranty and some other minor items listed as part of the included items.
When I called they said they will replace it.
Two weeks later they issued me a credit for $56 less than the item cost, although I never asked for credit.
A big scam. Do not deal with "trusted dealer"."
