However, I didn't receive an invoice number, and I wanted to be able to check to see when my order shipped and get the tracking number, so I emailed their sales department, who said that they'd notify me when it shipped. So it worked out just fine, but it would be nice if they had an online way to check the order status (is it being processed? or has it shipped?). "righto... i read countless bad reviews about toys n joys, but im from england and this was the only place that stocked gundam haro toys my daughter wanted for christmas, so i ordered any ways , i spoke to alex at toys n joys he told me the one i wanted was out of stock, would i like a orange one as the one i wanted was green, i said i would love one but couldnt afford the extra money, so any ways i got used to the fact i wasnt going to get it till after christmas, and then the haro arrived on the door 10 days before xmas in quick time and in orange , so alex actully lost money by making sure we recived are haro! i would defo order again ! "There were some Final Fantasy figures that I wanted which I searched for and eventually found on the Toys N Joys website. Despite reading lots of bad reviews here I decided to take a risk and buy them, as it looked like a good store and I couldn't find the figures anywhere else. To my pleasant surprise I did get a short reply to the emails I sent and the figures were shipped to the UK very quickly. I received everything ordered within 2 weeks. Will certainly consider buying more merchandise from Toys N Joys."
"Ok so I placed an order at this store before I saw any of the reviews, it was my fault that I did not research anything before making a purchase. When i placed my order i was very happy to finally find my final fantasy figures that i have been looking for a long time, but then I came across this page and i became terrified that something like what is written would happen to me and I was afraid of being scammed i was getting ready to contact the BBB, but I had no problems with toys n joys, I contacted them and i got a very quick response that same day they shipped my order a little late but that was ok by me.So for me i had a pretty good experience with toys n joys. I got what i wanted at a fair price and they were very helpful."
"I was a bit skeptical of purchasing somthing here becuase of bad reviews. However, i did have a good experince, my non-stop naruto cd came in on time. When i had a few questions regarding my order i got a timly repsonse. In my opionion is that its not the store but the person hadling your order."

"Ok, I decided to buy some more stuff from these folks and it looks like they are running well so far. I bought some random junk including a chromium figure (random, although to my disappointment I didn't get the one I wanted, but that's not TNJ's fault :P), a FFVII highwind model (by the way, it looks absolutely stunning), and a Rikku choker (which was backordered), to name a few. They were (except the choker) shipped to me in good time and I loved it. The highwind model was amazing. It was really worth the 80 dollars. So far, so good.
I also ordered from them once more, including: A light blue Nintendo DS, a little DS strap, a matching pouch, and a couple Metal Gear Solid soundtracks. They said that they are on the way to me right now, so I will anxiously await for this exciting order. If all goes well, I will plan to buy from them again by November or December.
Overall, they are doing really good for me. Communication is much better and Alex Le is so far, very nice guy. I will shop from these folks again. =D"

"Ok so I found rare Transformers toys for my boyfriend on their website and since I had never shopped from their site before I decided to do alittle research before investing a large sum of money into a possible scam. I read alot of reviews and most were really negative. I became very apprehensive about purchasing anything from them since I saw horror story upon horror story. So I called them to make sure everything was kosher. I tried to cover all my bases by asking them if they had the toy in stock and what condition it was in, descriptions of the box and any other detail I could think of. I also told them I was in NY and wanted to know how long it would take to ship everything to me. Alex answered all my questions and totally put me at ease. The customer service was awesome. He told me to place the order online and he would process it right away and told me to call back the second I placed it. I called him back in a matter of 5 minutes and he processed it as I was on the phone with him. He told me I would receive a confirmation with a tracking number in about 15 minutes. About 15-20 minutes later he called me back just to make sure I received the email. He told me to expect the package on Monday. I ended up buying a rare transformer toy and a Nintendo ds bundle which has been sold out all over NY. I was still a little worried that I may not get my items before the holidays since that seemed to be a common theme in all the posts I had read. I really worried for no reason at all. I got everything on Monday just like he said which was exactly 6 days after I placed the order which I think isn't too bad since it was making a trip from Hawaii to NY. The Transformer toy was packed up really well so there was no way it would become damaged and the ds was placed in padded packaging. I had a great experience with them and my boyfriend and daughter will be very happy this Christmas. Honestly the best thing I did was talk directly to them and I was straight forward about everything. Even talking to their transformer expert was pleasant. I really can't complain at all about anything. Even the 6 hour time difference didn't matter. Everytime I called someone always picked up the phone to answer my questions. I would definitely use their site again. Another bonus was the transformer toy I bought is selling on ebay and other stores in NY for $100-$200 more than I paid for it. All in all I have no complaints about anything."
"So I ended up ordering from Toys n' Joys for a Gundam 00 Orange Robot Mascot Haro Toy and decided to do a little research AFTER I placed the order and paid via credit card (for some reason, PayPal was rejecting my cards, so I had no choice). Despite the rather discouraging reviews I found on this website, save for the latest one, I took the risk instead of asking for a refund immediately after seeing this site. However, I do not regret this one tiny bit! Although I ordered the day before New Year's Eve and I know how busy every store must be around this holiday season, my Orange-kun along with a Totoro Cellphone Holder I also ordered for a friend came within 10 days INCLUDING their vacation time from December 31st-January 3rd, neatly packed together in a 1x1.5 foot box. I couldn't have asked for better service, really. I only had a little throw off from when I emailed Alex Le (the same guy everyone's been receiving replies from) three times, one of which was more urgent than the other two emails, and he replied promptly, on the very same day. The other two he never responded to, but because they were apprehensive/reluctant-buyer types of questions, I'm sure it got annoying. I don't mind though because none of the items were damaged when I received them and I got my Haro toy working within a day even though I had sent him an email asking him if the product was defective because Haro refused to move his ears after opening him! However, that's been fixed with a bit of reading and understanding the toy, and I probably should not have jumped to the conclusion that Toys n' Joys had sent me a defective product, or the Haro toy that didn't flap its ears from the website. For future buyers who are hesitant from buying from this company, you should understand that some of the exclusive Japanese merchandise like Totoro posters or plushies or novelty toys may take some time to get to Toys n' Joys from their warehouse or store in Asia and then must take another 1-2 weeks to get to your home. I live in the United States and had no problem getting my items within a week, so I don't think place really matters for the lengthy periods some people on this review site had to endure. The website is a bit messy and hard to navigate around, but it truly is a treasure trove for the Otaku and gaming fans like myself. Definitely an A grade service, in my opinion. Overall, Haro was a bit costly but I'm sure it's because he is a discontinued rare toy. I thought the Totoro Cellphone Holder was pretty fairly priced though. The Customer E-mail Service could be a bit better, but he got to the most important email regarding my items' shipment, and that's all that truly mattered to me."
