Horrible customer service online
"I ordered a couple of items from toolsplus online. When I placed the order I was not informed that they did not have my items in stock. Three weeks later I have to call and see what the hold up is and they inform they that the have yet to complete my order. They could not give me a definitive timeline on getting my order. If I wanted a refund that I would have to email them and request for my money back on an order that I have not received. I will not order from them if they are going to treat me like a second class customer!"
Customer service took priority over eBay customers
"I bought a tool from this company it was on April 1st on a Saturday according to eBay they had many in stock.. I however did not use eBay for the purchase... I use PayPal and their website.. I ordered this order before they were sold out on eBay... they gave this product to eBay customers that made the purchase after I did and put me on back order on a product... they will not be able to get because Milwaukee said it's discontinued... They said they have contacted their rep and they have Kick the Can down the road... They said they would refund the money if I want it. I want the product.. If I had ordered the product through eBay.. They would have had sent me the product.. Because I did not they rated me as a second-rate customer and put me to the back of the line... Now I probably won't even get the product that I paid for... Thanks for the outstanding customer service!!! This is all a true story but I decided to change the rating I give this company... Because they left the charge as a pre-authorization never taking the money completely off my card... So when I ran across another deal. I was able to cancel my order and they refunded my money immediately... No wait time as like I said it was only a pre-authorization they never took the money off the card... So the company has this as their company policy so you get your refund as fast as possible... I was able to purchase the product that I wanted without missing out on it again... Because of this policy... Thank you for fast refund..."
"I'm a first time customer with tools plus. I ordered the bosch ROS. Let me tell you it is awesome. Item came before date first given when I ordered it. I am new to tools and let me tell you it is awesome and VERY EASY to use. Everything was coming off so easily. The dust collector is amazing. Very easy to remove and clean. Thank you tools plus! You can not go wrong with this tool. I did just receive it today but trust me when I say I have boards galore to sand and I sanded one small and one big one. Husband came home and was impressed. It took off the wallpaper and paint on boards. The wood looks like it is new and I didn't clean the wood first. I know I'm suppose to but wanted to put it to test and it was sample boards. I wanted to make sure I used it right and could use it since this is the first time I use a sander. A lot of people are scared of the rotating orbital circular motion due to some leaving swirl marks. Let me tell you NO swirls on my boards and I never used a sander before. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Thank you tools plus for the awesome price on an AMAZING tool. If your unsure of sander look up reviews and do your research like I did. You will not be disappointed. I was sceptical ordering from tools plus cause there are more negative than positive results. I figured I would bite the bullet and try for myself with such an awesome price. So far I'm not disappointed. If something should happen to tool and have to go through that will give another review on that process. So far this customer is very satisfied."
NO TOOL, NO REFUND!
"received a BROKEN VISE. sent it back after DAYS of going back and forth with company. meanwhile, the job i had planed to do with tool is left undone. still have not received a refund over a month later. i know this "company" has MOSTLY good reviews/prices, but i will NEVER buy from them again. they are a complete nightmare to deal with. beware. "
Not very happy
"I ordered two identical senco duraspin guns a week ago and it still hasn't shipped. I've called everyday this week and the customer support lady is very nice but says the same thing everyday, "its boxed up and ready to go out today". But i haven't received a shipping confirmation. I'm the youngest guy on the crew so all the older guys come to me to find and purchase tools at the best deal so I use everyone from Amazon down to CPO. But this is by far the worst SHIPPING company I've ever dealt with. The customer support lady is very nice, the price is very good, and I'm sure over all this is probably an isolated incident. But I am very dissatisfied with this experience. If I had ordered 2 day shipping I still wouldn't have this product because they still havent even given it to the shipping company yet."

But I have also ordered online multiple times for random things here and there that I wasn't in a rush for. Prices are unbeatable, customer service is always top notch. Ignore any negative reviews, these guys are top notch and there's a reason they've been around since before I was born."
"Very impressed with Tools Plus. I had to buy my father a Milwaukee tool kit last year and ship it to him. He lives in Maryland and I live in Connecticut. I ordered that night and the next day it shipped. I even forgot to add something to the order and when I called they quickly took care of it. My father loves his hammer drill and impact kit. Ordering from Tools Plus was a huge relief after my recent experience with another online power retailer."
"What a terrible company to try and do business with. I placed an order and the tools I ordered never showed up. When I contacted Tools-Plus directly they were very disrespectful and refused a refund. I opened a dispute with paypal (and won) in order to get a refund. Thank goodness for paypal and shame on Tool-Plus!"
"About 5 months ago I purchased a 7/8" SDS+ drill bit from toolsplus. Due to delays, then changes in the project I never used the drill bit. So I called them a couple weeks ago and asked for a refund if I returned it. They asked for some pix to verify I hadn't used it, then approved the return. I received a check in the mail for the purchase price minus shipping.Top notch customer support and I will recommend them to my friends."
"I recently purchased a Powermatic lamp kit for my Powermatic lathe. The purchase was made in mid-November as a Christmas present and so the boxes were not opened until Christmas, almost a month later. At that time, i was discovered that one of the two lamps that comprise the kit was missing. An email to customer service got an immediate reply and the situation was quickly and fully resolved. Such excellent customer service seems to be getting more the exception these days. I will be a Tools-Plus customer from here on."

"I ordered some accessories for my Work Sharp 3000 sharpener. Tools Plus had the lowest prices, plus I found a link for a coupon for free shipping. I ordered the items online, (A little less than $30 worth) and quickly received a confirmation via email, and an hour later a shipping notification/tracking number for UPS. The package arrived 3 business days later! Can't beat that kind of service!"
"One of the best online buys ever! They were selling a Porter Cable 16" Omnijig for unbelieveable price of 299.00. No one came close.Also Porter Cable was offering $50.00 rebate. So total cost of this unit was all of 249.00!!!Their s&h for this 60lb unit was all of $6.50!The box it shipped in was well thought out with thick styrofoam and the unit arrived in excellent shape.I couldn't believe their pricing and shipping costs and called them before I ordered and they have been online since like 1990's and buy in truck loads from Porter Cable for many years and pass along the price break to customers.I also found online that BBB rated them A+.The unit arrived within the time period in excellent shape. The rebate with Porter Cable is top notch and they even extended the rebate 2 weeks for me and even set up the account for the rebate before I sent them the UPC from the box and their form filled out. Porter Cable does a lot of rebates and has designated phone numbers just for them so they do it a lot and I would buy when those rebates are available. Everyone at Porter Cable was great.I will never buy a tool for my husband again without checking out these guys first.I recently shopped out nail guns with compressor and once again no one can beat Tools Plus and Porter Cable. They don't just sell Porter Cable either but it is a well respected manufacturer.Tools Plus also states on their site that before they ship depending on the item they will open the box and put more packing materials in to prevent damage when necessary and that all items they sell are new. This company goes the extra mile and wants and cares about how the item get to you not all retailers do this unfortunately.You will notice that others here give it 5 stars and they really earned it. "
"Bought a Makita track saw that was on sale with a free track. Good price and cheap shipping. Anyways had a problem with the saw motor, called them up and they were responsive and courteous.Got my replacement saw after sending back the original. Good company as they are supportive after the sale. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from again."
