"My brother is in Puerto Rico. He has been searching for months for the perfect rims. He finally found on tirerack.com. Upon trying to make his purchase, they informed him they didn't ship to Puerto Rico. So he listed the shipping address as mine in Georgia, and gave mine as the contact number. A MONTH later, that call stating they can't ship to a different address than the billing address. Ummm, where does it state that? I ask. Well then they say they need my 3 digit pin on the back of the card, so we call my brother. His English is poor and no one there spoke Spanish. They then accuse me of trying to use someone else's identity?!!! Then when we argue that out, he then asks me what kind of money do they use in Puerto Rico anyway?!?!?!! IM PAYING WITH MASTERCARD YOU IDIOT!!! And after all of that.......they will ship there.....for an additional $300! No purchase! Uneducated fools!"

"Bought 4 new tires, of which 2 went flat in 3 months, under 1000 miles!! When called to complain, extremely arrogant and dismissive customer service. Made to buy new tires while they 'inspect' what is wrong with the 'old' ones!!
bad tires, and HORRIBLE service by Tirerack. will not recommend to anyone EVER. absolutely the worst experience ever. Arrogant customer service employees.

"Same experience with customer service. Bridgestone warranty claims any dealer will provide warranty service. Dealer refuses service unless tire purchased there. Bridgestone CS claims they don't provide warranty service. Tire Rack claims they don't provide customer service.

I've been a customer for 10 years but no more. I can see it's an OK place until you need service, then you're stuck. "

"When you place an order with Tire Rack, you get the double whammy.

First, you must go to a local dealer for installation. This local installer sees you as scum for buying elsewhere, and treats you accordingly.

Second, when there is a problem, nobody is responsible. Tire Rack blames the installer and the installer blames the tire from Tire Rack. Good luck."

"I was a long-time buyer from Tire Rack until I had a problem. If the information they give on their website is correct and the equipment you bought fits, then you are fine. Otherwise, you are screwed. I bought wheels for my winter tires at Tire Rack, and their website said that the stock center caps will work with the wheels. I had winter tires installed on the wheels I bought from them (for $250), and the wheels did fit fine on the car. The stock center caps did not. I called Tire Rack, and they acknowledged that the center caps will not work because the wheels on the new model year have a different hub size (in contrary to what their website claimed). After the wheels were installed, the car was moved out of the shop - this is not very far - measure it in feet. Tire Rack says that because the car was "driven" (even if it was 3 feet was their quote), then they will not take the wheels back as a return. When you buy wheels or tires from them, they "guarantee" that they will fit. My wheels did not, and they will not let me return them because they have been "driven" more than 3 feet. If you buy something from them that does not work as they promise, they will find a reason to not honor their "guarantee". You would think that as the economy gets worse, businesses would try to retain customers. Not. You have been warned.

If what you buy from them fits, great. They have a great selection and super fast shipping. If there is a problem, you are screwed."

"After years of being a loyal customer, I returned 4 tires to Tirerack. The UPS tracking numbers showed Tirerack received all 4 tires. Due to Tirerack's apparent loss of my tires, I never received my $700 refund. I'll be shopping at Discount Tire from now on. "

"I have purchased numerous tires for high end sport cars without problem, until I recently received some defective tires. Their customer service was abysmal. They wanted me (not the installer whom they sent the tires to) to arrange return of tires through a 3rd party shipper. They did not want to reimburse the entire cost of remounting replacement tires. The customer service staff seemed to want to make it difficult"

"I have bought at least 5 sets of tires from Tire Rack over the last 6 years and didn't have a problem until the last 3 sets over the last year and a half. No problems with shipping to me. The first problem was with a winter tire package for a 2010 Navigator L. One wheel had a tire pressure sensor monitor that snapped off the band and was ruined in the tire. It took 2 replacements to get one that worked. All this required repeated visits to the local tire shop to dismount and remount after replacing the sensor. Now I bought winter tire and wheel set for 2011 Audi A8L. The fitment was incorrect and bound the rim to the brake caliper making the car immovable. The car now has a shimmy and Audi will have to repair. The customer service person indicated they hadn't had this problem before, only an issue with lug bolts that were too long. She was extremely rude when i wasn't interested in doing the work of packaging up these tires. Including the hauling them back to my house for UPS pickup. If its my mistake, its my dime. if its Tire Racks mistake, its their dime. I have since found out that another set of Blizzak tires for a 2003 Suburban were 3 years old when I received them last year. They work fine, but any tire professional will tell you that the life and safety of the tire is not only based on the remaining tread, but the age of the tire is critical to its safety. So if these Blizzaks only last me three seasons, I guess I'll be OK. I've bought my last tires from Tire Rack."

"Great prices but getting them to cover warranty is like pulling teeth. They want you and the repair facility to jump through hoops and then they only (maybe) reimburse you after you purchase a tire. Warranty claim department person 'Chad' told me one story about how the claims process works, then told me another once I followed his instructions. Not going to order another tire from them. I'll pay more and go to WalMart if I need to.
