It ROXORs. I bought it mostly to play Horizons and as an upgrade for playing Asheron's Call. The graphics and speed are amazing.
thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU! When I opened the packing I was a little concern with the box that said "IS7 series mother board". I have some skills but wasn't looking forward to starting out from scratch. Luckily for me (as you know) it was full of paperwork. The binder was also a nice touch. The whole package was the most user-friendly system I have ever purchased. Certainly a far cry from a (real name deleted) product that I did have to start from almost scratch.
"After researching laptops for about a full month, I happened onto Thunderbox PC and was totally shocked that I could build a system to my specs for a price cheaper than what Alienware, hypersonic and Falcon NW were offering.
I had a few questions so I e-mailed the contact e-mail address and was surprised to see all of my questions answered about 7 minutes later by the owner of the company Jon Mancil. I put an inquiry in to Alienware about 2 weeks prior to that and still did not have an answer!
Jon and I went over what I needed, discussed a custom graphic and wrapped up the purchase within about a day. I was in Baghdad at the time so time differences played a role.
Because of the great customer service I received, my friend and I both bought Phantom laptops from Jon and are thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our purchase. Jon did an amazing job with our custom graphics and all the components we wanted. He also kept us up to date and made suggestions that helped us get the right laptops for our needs.
I just recently found out I need to go overseas again and needed an airplane power adaptor. After not being able to find one, I called Jon and he took care of getting one for me in a serious time crunch and actually called me to let me know it was in at his office and that he would overnite it so I would have it for my trip.
I could not ask for any better performance from a company or a laptop. In fact, my Gateway desktop is getting long in the tooth and will be getting replaced by a Thunderbox.
So to recap, awesome company with an awesome product, run by a man who cares about what he is doing and the people he is it doing it for."
"Decided on Thunderbox PC after reviewing Alienware, Falcon NW and Voodoo PC. Why? None of those companies allowed true customization and the price was outrageous. Jon Mancil was extremely helpful and willing to put the computer together that I wanted, and in the end, it cost me about $2500 less. During the wait for my computer, I would send Jon an email or two with some tweaks for my computer and no problem, he addressed all my questions. About a month later, my system arrived. Even though it was very well packed, I inspected everything and it was absolutely perfect. Jon even sent me some great pictures of my system in advance that show off his work. After the sale, I made a couple of software driver errors with the computer and Jon was happy to respond with patient assistance in getting the system running, even on a Sunday afternoon!
I can't say enough good things about this company. The quality of their work and willingness to put the customer first shines through in every part of the order process!
"We all ask the question ... "What ever happened to great customer service?" Well, I've found it! Its' been hiding at all along in the great state of Texas at ThunderboxPC.
Yes, I've spoken to the big guys of custom gaming computers (names not required, we all know who they are), and at best, all I got was, "Well, we are the largest ... highest sales ... etc ..."
Jon Mancil, (owner of ThunderboxPC) thoroughly impressed me throughout every step of my Thunderbox PC purchase. As I explained to Jon, "For once in my life, I wanted the latest, greatest, fastest, and the best in gaming technologies available" (AMD 64 FX51, ATI 9800 256mb XT). We all want the best, BUT of course, there are budget restraints to contend with.
Jon worked with me patiently, with the greatest of care and respect. He generously met my budget (I had to have a quality flat screen LCD monitor), by offering me a substantial discount to have my rig "reviewed" by an online gaming company. As in any PC purchase, one or two issues arose (despite impeccable packing, UPS put a five inch slash in my outer shipping container = one inch dent in tower side). The one or two emails I made were promptly answered (Jon never sleeps) and always, ended up with problems solved.
Now after weeks of game play, all I can say is, "This box rocks!" Between the customization, the attention to detail and pure raw power, I have had every expectation met and better yet ... far exceeded! Thanks for everything Jon. "
"After hours and hours and hours of studying and checking around the internet for the ultimate gaming computer, I had all but decided on Velocity Micro. That was, until, I emailed Jon Mancil at Thunderboxpc and recieved an immediate reply. When spending several thousand on a computer, I like to feel like I'm giving the money to someone who is going to accomodate ALL my needs and questions. Thunderbox and mainly Jon fit the bill. Although they were a bit more expensive than I was looking for, their customer service more than pays for it. I bought a Savage FX and recieved it a few days ago. It is lightning fast, plays doom at the highest level without a glitch and hasn't had a single problem yet. I will buy from these guys for the rest of my life."

Starting with Thunderbox's site, the beautiful pictures of computer systems, lots of information, a great system builder with images that change--really helps you see what your ordering.
Ordering on-line--all my questions were answered promptly. If you don't need the hardware, Thunderbox will let you know.
Everything I ordered was packaged neatly in separate boxes.
The extra personal touch was getting a performance manual, and I was surprised to get manuals for all the hardware that went into building the computer. I have the manual for the computer case.
The setup was simple with Thunderbox's eXFuel setup guide, so Voila!--I have a sleek and elegant computer that runs fast, cool, and close to silent.
For someone who truly wants a custom built system, you will feel that the computer was made especially for you."

If you would like a new computer that is tested, burned in and preconfigured to your needs, this is the dealer you want to do business with. Just do not get in a rush. The computer comes with excellant documentation, a metal clamshell cd case and all the printed material for everything installed. What is neat about Thunderbox PC is that they will configure the computer to whatever you desire and thoroughly test it out before you use it. And they do this while remaining competitive with other resellers. I am happy enough that I have no hesitation about recommendation this company to anyone."
"After looking at Alienware, i wasnt happy. Same with Voodoo and Falcon NW. I wanted a high quality PC without trading in my car. So i stumbled upon thunderboxpc and thought id look into them. After about 2 days i decided to place an order. I was able to customize to my hearts content. In the middle of the time from my order to the ship date, they emailed me saying that they upgraded my motherboard and lights for FREE! I just got my computer a few days ago and it has been great. I can clearly tell everything has been placed in there with the upmost caution. I was also pleased at their customer support...when i called i wasnt put on hold and when i sent an email it was replied to in about 1 hour! The best support i have ever gotten.
