It took multiple weeks to get my order in the mail. I had to call the customer service line 3 times. Not worth the extra effort. I have already told family members not to use this website to order products. They suck.

I purchased a cell phone being told that is was 3 day shipping. I then received an email with my invoice number but no ID, or way to track my order. This made me concerned, so I called customer service. I was told there was some sort of issue and my order would be able to be placed till the 31st but i would have my phone by the 3rd of Nov. Judging from my bank statement my order was placed and charged to my account on oct. 30. Now it's the 4th...No phone...No smiling faces...
I was then sent email with the following fake email and phone number from TC:

It was the best!!! I had a problem because they changed the website and when I called, Luis in Customer Services took care of everything and just 24 hour after this contact I received my order. This is a great place to shop, good prices, fast shipping and exelent Customer Service.

After 8 days that the order was placed and many phone calls, they wrote "We apologize for the inconvenience, but we gonna go ahead and refund your VX8350, please kip in mind that take 72 hours to show the refund on your account."
I did not cancel the order - I guess that they did and are now going to refund to my credit card the dollar amount of the PO?????
I still meed the item
- I wasted the 8 days, phone, and Email time.
NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SERVICE.

My 1st purchase ever with this store. I ordered the Plantronics Voyager Pro bulk packaging at a very low price. In fact the lowest price I could find on the internet period. I received my order in approx. 8 days of the initial order. When it arrived it clearly had the wrong charger as the Pro takes a mini USB charger and the one I got was a tiny round plug. Not even close to being right. So I couldn't charge it up at all. I called Thrifty and they were very apologetic and asked me to return the item and they would send me the correct one. I paid about $6 to get it there fast so they could send me the right stuff quickly as I was leaving on my semi truck for 5 weeks in about 8 days. I spoke to Josh who is a manager there and he said he'd throw in a free car charger for my troubles. He was very helpful and easy to chat with. He got my order to my house within 2 days after receiving my return. Everything is right except for no owners manual which I easily downloaded off the internet. Thanks Thrifty Computer for resolving my issue quickly. I am very happy with my purchase so far. Excellent company although it would have been better if whom ever put my pkg together in the 1st place would have paid a bit more attention to details and got the correct charger in there. But we're all human right?!! I will definitely buy from Thrifty again. Good job Josh!!!! Great prices too!

I am happy to say that I received 2 LG phones on 10/27/09, brand new, and at a great price. The folks at ThriftyComputer, especially Louis, were very kind and called me to update me on the status of more order. I am a happy customer!
WILL I GET MY PHONES???
So far no phones... so the Jury has still not reached a verdict...
I placed an order for (2) phones on Saturday October 17th, was told that they were in stock, and that they would ship in 2 to 3 days...
It is now 7 days since I placed my order, and I am starting to get concerned...
I am also getting a serious amount of grief from my family members who need their phones...
I called 4 times to check status.... 2 of the 4 calls resulted in being put on hold with silence and no reply...
One of the calls resulted in me speaking with a nice lady who seemed trust worthy...
The last call resulted in me speaking with a very nice man named Louis, who apologized for the delay in my order, and actually gave me his extension to call him back on... This made me feel much better...
But I still have no tracking order... no phones... and 2 very unhappy members of my family...
I buy almost everything online, and i think the folks at Thrifty Computer are honest, and are trying to do the right thing...
But if i don't get my phones within the next few days... and if they are not brand new as promised... I will have to update this rating and may have to give them a poor review...
Times will tell... the clock is ticking...
Will I get my phones....

Order was placed on the 15th of Oct, this is the 22nd and I haven't even gotten conframition that these items have been shipped. I have tried to call and just got placed on hold. But they were paid the day of the order. sorry not happy!

After waiting almost 3 weeks, my phone finally arrived. During this time, my emails were either ignored or I got replies saying the phone had just shipped (which wasn't true). Phone calls were equally useless. Once the phone did arrive, the AC adapter was missing. This time I got a quick reply to email and the adapter showed up quickly. this is regarding order no 15144
see i ordered a cellphone nokia 6300 on oct 11 th ...we waited until oct 20 th and gave a call back to you ..you said that you are going to send the phone in 3 days and credit a amount of 18$ as compensation to my credit card.you didn't credit a single penny to my card until now .and even i didn't receive my shipping and USPS tracking shows nothing about the shipment .yesterday i mailed to you ---no reply from you .i tried calling you today and you kept me on line for 1 hr but no answer from you .
i am now very much vexed ...and i feel that you guys are playing with my feelings and cant bare this any more ...i Will wait for your reply today and if i don't ,be ready to face the court .i am going to sue you tomorrow.
your customer care is poor ,your servers are slow

Do not buy from this company. They misrepresent what they are selling. I bought a Motorola HX1 bluetooth headset that was list as NEW item, what I got was the headset and charger in a plastic bag. None of the accessories or instructions were included. Not to mention the original packaging. It also took them 2 days to ship from the date the order was placed. This is too slow for an item that is listed as in stock. I've already logged a dispute with my credit card company and also filed a mail fraud investigation because they ship via USPS and by sending me a used item, missing stuff when the website clearly states it is new is mail fraud.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Well, your idea of clearly indicated and mine are completely different. Plus, the bulk packaging it came in is not the original packaging, as there are signs of the mounting tape used on the headset and earloop. So your "repackaging" by my definition as a consumer makes the device used as you had to open the original packaging and handle the device. It did not come from Motorola that way. Buyer beware -- if anyone insists on buying from this company, call first and have them confirm the product you want is in stock. Their website is not updated to reflect what is/isn't in stock.
Their method of confirmation is sorely lacking as well. Twelve days and two (order processed & order completed) e-mails after my order was placed, still no items delivered. I called and was informed that the items ordered are not in stock, despite the order completed confirmation, and my account was refunded.

I ordered a Motorola H710 headset from them. The product page says it would be in a "BRAND NEW RETAIL PACKAGE". The product I received was in a plastic bag, sealed with scotch tape. It had smudges all over it, so clearly it was neither new, nor in a retail package. Also, the manual was well worn. Having owned a brand new one of these in the past, I know what they should look like. I called, and got the excuse that "we test all the headsets, so they may be slightly smudged". I'm not buying it. They couldn't explain the lack of retail packaging. They agreed to replace it, and I've already sent it back, but I'm a bit concerned after reading reviews here that I'll probably end up with another used product. Also, I'm not very happy that I just spent another $4 on shipping it back, when the item only cost about $26 including shipping anyway. I'm thinking I should have bought it elsewhere, as shipping it back has made it exceed the price of many other stores. We'll see what happens, and I'll update this post accordingly!
UPDATE - I received another H710, in a T-Mobile box, however, it was clearly used. It smelled and felt like either cologne or some sort of hair product. After cleaning it and testing it, I found the microphone didn't work at all. I asked for a refund, but the owner said he would sent an H790 as an upgrade, at no additional cost (which I agreed to). A couple of days later, I received ANOTHER H710 - it was in a T-Mobile box also but it appeared new. I tested it, and the microphone worked somewhat, but was so distorted it was basically unusable. Again, I asked for a refund, but the owner said again, he would send a H790. I agreed to that, and sent both H710s back to him.
I received the H790, and while not in a retail box, appeared new and so far has been working very well. It didn't have a manual, but luckily was easy enough to figure out how to use without one. It has been an excellent headset so far.
So, in the end, I'm glad this was resolved, and I'm happy with the H790. I appreciate the upgrade and the quick replies from the company, but I'm still a bit disappointed with the length of time the entire process took (basically, the better part of a month) and all of the hurdles to get to a satisfactory end result. I would probably buy from this company again if I was not so concerned about it being new or in retail packaging, and was looking for the absolute lowest price.
