I had a very good experience with this company. They were very fast at getting my order processed and customer service was very helpful with any questions that I had.

I purchased a Verizon Wireless Motorola Q phone on June 24th and immediately got an e-mail stating I could track my purchase through a link on their website. I have checked the link for the past 3 days now and I still do not have a tracking number. The website said that the information would be added within 72 hours...it has now been past that time frame. I even tried to call them yesterday and here is what happened:

I guess their Customer service number that runs from 8-6 (as said on their website) either does not work or they do not answer. Perhaps I am just being over dramatic since I purchased the item 3 days ago, but I have read similar stories on here, quite a few to be exact, that are eerily similar to my experience. I also emailed them 3 times: no response their either. There isn't even a customer support agent online I can talk to. I was able to get Alan online a little bit before I made my purchase but that has been the extent of my contact with them. Well, I just hope I get my tracking number and wish this false advertisement and giving customer's the runaround would stop. Hopefully I will get my item soon or an acknowledgment that my phone has been shipped. I will keep you guys posted.

Order on 17th and shipped a week(23) later with status instock. Pack with thin bubble sheet that several scratch appear. Shipping and handle is super-great deal as it take 7 days just charge for $8(Average $1+ per days). If you look for store that charge you way beyond legal hourly rate, this definitely a good one. Otherwise, stay away with it.

I had been looking for a bluetooth headset that was well regarded and affordable. I found the Plantronics Voyager 855 at Thrifty Computer at a really great price. Complementing the price was attentive service; my order was processed quickly and delivered within three days. It could hardly have been an easier, more satisfactory experience and I will certainly shop there again.

PEOPLE: Nobody told us anything you are saying, and we are not entering in discussion with you people that blame customers FOR YOUR RESPONSABILITIES!  
If thats true...why we just have ONE track number? the track for the only item we received out of 4 ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM thrifty computer! I ordered an LG new cell phone for my sons Birthday and it was in stock and was told 2 day shipping, I recieved it in 10 days only to find out everything was in spanish even the phone.6 weeks later the phone becomes very hot and stops working. I emailed them about it and I recieved an email stating their warrenty was for only 30 days and an I'm sorry. So I emailed them back asking what I should do.They responded back to contact LG so I did but they couldn't help me because the phone was from the uk. I contacted the LG in the UK, no response. So I looked thru the phone manuel for a phone # I called it but it was not in service. So I emailed thrifty again and Alan M. emailed me back and appologized and Promised me a replacement phone or a refund once I shipped the phone back. Now that they have recieved the phone they say they can't replace it because it's scratched up. They are not scratches but the paint wearing off around the edges. So now I'm out 86.00 plus 9.00 for shipping the phone back to them. I have already contacted the bbb Revised: They contacted me and will be sending me a new phone. ReRevision: Now they they agreed to send me a replacement phone. But I did not recieve it even though they say they sent it.

I recently purchased a BlackBerry Pearl from Thrifty Computer. I am so excited to have found a place to buy brand new unlocked cell phones, and the prices terrific! Everything arrived in the box, as described. I had a question for customer service about the difference between the Curve and the Pearl, and they wrote back to me right away even though it was the weekend.

There was a miscommunication when I placed my order, and I received the wrong product. The owner emailed me to apologize, and he sent me the correct product for free. I didn't have to send back the wrong one. Pretty cool.

READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, SORT BY LOW AND SEE HOW BAD OF A COMPANY THIS REALLY IS!  
 
I am very unhappy with the customer service and the lack of delivery of my product. I purchased 2 keyboards and checked status a week later, I received a response that I should have the product in a few days and now it is another week later and no product or update. I would beware of this company, I have opened up a dispute with PayPal already.  
 
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY  
 
You should really read the many negative reviews. This company seems to offer an excuse for everything. Right on their website it specifically says: "All items are in stock and ready to ship". If you read the reviews and the sellers comments you'll quickly learn that this is not the truth and it is false advertising.  
 
UPDATE on 6/15...  
 
I received an e-mail from a person claiming to be the owner of the company telling me the product has been delivered.  
 
This was the case, it arrived the day after I posted the review and A FULL WEEK LATER THAN CUSTOMER SERVICE PROMISED.  
 
The product was not received in like-new condition AND it was missing parts.  
 
Update 6/30  
After e-mails with the owner they have resolved my issue to my satisfaction.

This is the most horrible seller I have seen. I ordered for 2 blackberry phones and they sent me only one. Intially they insisted that they had sent 2. The package is small enough to carry only one phone. After complaint with paypal they fooled me and sent a electronic notification to usps (to expect your package for mailing). Since the last week they had not sent any item for delivery to the shipper. Looks like this is one online seller who is fooling customers like this. Please do not buy anything from them.  
 
It is 16th day since the order. Not received the second item item. I am calling them regularly everyday. They do not pick up the phone. When they pickup they always promise to send the item next day. I have not received anything. Neither they have despatched anything with the earlier usps tracking number. IS THRIFTYCOMPUTER (THIEF COMPUTER) LISTENING ??? PLEASE CAN YOU SEND THE ITEM OR RETURN THE MONEY??  
 
Update: Received the 2nd phone yesterday. I have ordered for black pearl 3120, but, they had sent me titanium one. Atleast something:) and happy to get out of the mess. I will never buy from them. Will not upgrade the rating either. Others buy at your own risk.

I have placed an order for a blue tooth and a webcam and some other items. The order was processed that day and I got a detailed invoice almost immediatelly. The customer service answered my concerns quickly and effeciantly.  
I would definatly order from this website again as well as recommand my friends here.

This is in regards to a purchase made at Thriftycomputer.com on 03/31/09. I ordered a Netgear router on 3/31/09. Later that night I was looking over the manufactures website and discovered that the router was not capable of meeting all my network needs. I called Thrifty Computer at 1-800-971-3916 the next day, and asked the operator if my order had shipped. She said that it had not. I then asked if I could cancel my order and receive a full refund for the item and shipping cost. She said that it would not be a problem and when I asked if I could have a confirmation of the cancelation she said that she would email it to me. The next day I received an email from them confirming that they had shipped my order and provided me with a tracking number.  
I immediately called them at the same number, and got their voicemail. I received a call back and told the same operator what had happened. She apologized and told me that I would now have to wait till I received the order and either refuse receipt or mail it back to them. I received the order and refused receipt several days later. About a week later I received an email from an employee of the company asking why I had returned the order and asked for me to call them. The only number provided was that of the 800 number. I called a spoke with the same operator as before and after I went over the entire case history she told me that I should get a refund in 2-3 weeks. I allowed the three weeks to go by and received no refund. I call them back on 04/22/09 and asked why I had not received my refund. The same operator apologized again for the wait and said that she would look into it and have the refund expedited. I have today sent one last email requesting that they provide me my refund and also left a voicemail which was return by the same operator and she told me that they would TRY to get me a refund. I have made every attempt to deal with Thriftycomputer.com in a calm and collect manner to no avail. Use Thrifty Computer at your own risk.

Placed order on May 28, 2009. After 11 days all that exists of my order are e-mails from Thrifty that order has been processed and an e-mail from the USPS that they have received shipping info on a future shipment. I will never order from this company again. They are amateurs.  
 
Upgraded rating after Thrifty refunded half of the total purchase amount (item + shipping). Still waiting for item. Currently USPS still only says they have received info on a pending shipment. Will give further updates.  
 
It has been 2 weeks now and still no record of a shipment. Just empty promises.  
 
Update #2. 15 days after placing order Logitech S510 wireless keyboard and mouse arrived. Though listed as refurbished it looks like new. Works great. If you have patience and don't need your order quickly try Thrifty.

Bought a LG phone from these guys... it arrived promptly. Was missing the US power adapter and communicated this to them... they shipped it to me. All is good!! Great transaction!!
