They have really interesting items, however, many times you can shop around and get them for cheaper at other places and their shipping is very high.
However, still a great company with good customer service, and good shipping speeds. Everything I got was exactly how it was described, and even though it was a little pricey, very happy with the products I received.

Thinkgeek has provided wonderful customer service yet again. I ordered a bag from them just after Christmas. Unfortunately, UPS decided to reschedule the delivery date twice so the item arrived much later than expected. I emailed thinkgeek customer service and they reimbursed me the shipping costs.
I've purchased from this website in the past and the shipping has always been fast and in good condition. This was the first time that the shipping container looked like it had been dragged through the mud. The item inside though was in new condition still.
I will definitely be purchasing from thinkgeek in the future. Thank you for your wonderful customer service!

I ordered 5 game systems off their site, there was no drop down menu with options and the site was clearly advertising the system, all you did was click the order button, so I did, and I received 5 controllers instead. I was told the item was actually more than 6 times the price advertised, the rep I chatted with didn't seem to find this much of an issue or feel the need to appologize for his company's gross error right before Christmas. I get to return my items fortunately but at this point I'm now out the majority of my presents and left trying to figure something else out the night before Christmas Eve.
Perhaps if you're so "geeky" you should learn how to properly write a website so you don't screw over your customers. Buy somewhere else they aren't even the cheapest.

Communication from Thinkgeek once an order is placed is INCREDIBLE!
We placed 4 orders with thinkgeek. The first three were gifts sent to our friends in other states than ours, at addresses there were NOT paypal verified.
We got confirmations of payment sent to them through paypal. and confirmations that we'd paid, from thinkgeek. Nothing in these e-mails indicated that what happened next was even a possibility.
They wanted physical verification of OUR address. We did not get a notification of this through our e-mail.
The Sr CSR that replied went out of his way to take care of my needs. This review was modified by its author, rjmii, on

I feel complete ripped off. I bought an electronic shirt at thinkgeek.com, but it didn't work. The worst part is that I bought it as a gift! When my friend opened it up, and we spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why we couldn't get it to work. We gave up, and I figured I'd be able to exchange it for something that actually functioned. Nope. It was past their 30-day policy, and even though the thing never worked, thinkgeek.com is unwilling to exchange it. Total BS if you ask me. It was barely past their 30-day policy, too! They wouldn't budge, or even be practical. Way to satisfy the customer! Hopefully they learn to treat people better, but until then I would steer clear of thinkgeek.com.

I've seen many 'cool' gadgets from thinkgeek and finally took the plunge and ordered a few of my favorites (annoyatron, evil tron, flex bowl, titanium spork).
Items arrived quickly and NIB, and were very fun.
Pricing? How are you supposed to know if the prices are good? These are some very odd items. $9 for a circuit board with a chip that makes random annoying noises. I guess that's an okay price. I've not ordered any 'mainstream' stuff from them, so it is almost impossible to compare these oddball items for practical pricing (titanium spork for cripes sake!)
Got their catalog and I'll probably be shopping from thinkgeek again, since I found some more interesting 'stuff'.

Quite possibly the worst company i have ever dealt with. I ordered a Cold Heat Soldering Tool off their website and paid for 2 day shipping because i required the tool this week. The next day i receive a package full of batterys with no cold heat tool. I emailed the customer service department immediately about not having received the item, and they proceed to tell me that the item has been discontinued and they are only selling their stock of soldering tips, yet the website specifically says the order is for the cold heat soldering tool, and even includes a carrying case! Then they tell me that i can return the item via RMA service, telling me i have to pay for return shipping on an item i never received in the first place! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and filing a charge back on my card. Be weary of the scams they are playing with products that are no longer in stock. As if it wasnt bad enough, the packing slip, and invoice, both say the order was for the cold heat soldering tool.

Overall an excellent shopping experience. They have a wide range of eclectic items, an easy to maneuver website, and reasonably priced and FAST shipping. All items arrived in perfect condition, and were exactly what I expected.

ThinkGeek is overstepping acceptable information collection by demanding personal information to confirm your billing address. They can call the card issuing bank to confirm your billing address, but they chose to put the burden on you to save them a phone call. Also, I had already completed orders with them in the past using the same information, so you think they would have the intelligence to deduce that is is legitimate.
This was in the email think geek sent me.
Acceptable verification information includes one of the following:
(1) A copy of the credit card used to order, with only the last 4
digits showing AND a copy of your government issued ID (Credit Card
orders only)
(2) A copy of a statement from a service provider or financial
institution, that shows the billing address submitted during checkout
(Credit Card or PayPal orders)
To summarize, they wanted me to send them copies of personal information which could easily be misused, or intercepted.
Here is how they should have done it. From Visa's site, it outlines the appropriate methods of checking hardholder identity. http://usa.visa.com/merchants/risk_management/card_not_present.html
Thinkgeek is getting lazy, if they cant use AVS for a legit reason, they can tell the customer and then ask for another method of identification, otherwise, collecting this information is overboard.
I'll update this review as the situation unfolds. Thus far they canceled my order because I didn't send them the info, also the price went up on the item I ordered, so I requested them to reinstate the order or to allow me to place a new order with the right info. I'll send them the info they asked for this time(as I didn't actually see the email requesting it the first time) even though it is unreasonable. This review was modified by its author, CybrGuy, on
