I've seen many 'cool' gadgets from thinkgeek and finally took the plunge and ordered a few of my favorites (annoyatron, evil tron, flex bowl, titanium spork).

Items arrived quickly and NIB, and were very fun.

Pricing? How are you supposed to know if the prices are good? These are some very odd items. $9 for a circuit board with a chip that makes random annoying noises. I guess that's an okay price. I've not ordered any 'mainstream' stuff from them, so it is almost impossible to compare these oddball items for practical pricing (titanium spork for cripes sake!)

Got their catalog and I'll probably be shopping from thinkgeek again, since I found some more interesting 'stuff'.

Always a great experience was this company. Their site is easy to navigate and customer service has always been top notch. Plus I always find discount codes online!

Quite possibly the worst company i have ever dealt with. I ordered a Cold Heat Soldering Tool off their website and paid for 2 day shipping because i required the tool this week. The next day i receive a package full of batterys with no cold heat tool. I emailed the customer service department immediately about not having received the item, and they proceed to tell me that the item has been discontinued and they are only selling their stock of soldering tips, yet the website specifically says the order is for the cold heat soldering tool, and even includes a carrying case! Then they tell me that i can return the item via RMA service, telling me i have to pay for return shipping on an item i never received in the first place! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and filing a charge back on my card. Be weary of the scams they are playing with products that are no longer in stock. As if it wasnt bad enough, the packing slip, and invoice, both say the order was for the cold heat soldering tool.

Overall an excellent shopping experience. They have a wide range of eclectic items, an easy to maneuver website, and reasonably priced and FAST shipping. All items arrived in perfect condition, and were exactly what I expected.

Amazing experience! I had absolutely no issues with shopping or checking out. I received my order well packaged in significantly faster then expected time. I would highly recommend them, and I will be buying from them again.

ThinkGeek is overstepping acceptable information collection by demanding personal information to confirm your billing address. They can call the card issuing bank to confirm your billing address, but they chose to put the burden on you to save them a phone call. Also, I had already completed orders with them in the past using the same information, so you think they would have the intelligence to deduce that is is legitimate.

This was in the email think geek sent me.

Acceptable verification information includes one of the following:
(1) A copy of the credit card used to order, with only the last 4
digits showing AND a copy of your government issued ID (Credit Card
orders only)
(2) A copy of a statement from a service provider or financial
institution, that shows the billing address submitted during checkout
(Credit Card or PayPal orders)

To summarize, they wanted me to send them copies of personal information which could easily be misused, or intercepted.

Here is how they should have done it. From Visa's site, it outlines the appropriate methods of checking hardholder identity. http://usa.visa.com/merchants/risk_management/card_not_present.html

Thinkgeek is getting lazy, if they cant use AVS for a legit reason, they can tell the customer and then ask for another method of identification, otherwise, collecting this information is overboard.

I'll update this review as the situation unfolds. Thus far they canceled my order because I didn't send them the info, also the price went up on the item I ordered, so I requested them to reinstate the order or to allow me to place a new order with the right info. I'll send them the info they asked for this time(as I didn't actually see the email requesting it the first time) even though it is unreasonable.

I had 4 packages stolen off of my porch on Wednesday Dec. 17th, including a rather large one from ThinkGeek. I spent most of that Thursday talking with Fedex, police, neighbors, etc... Fedex did an investigation to confirm the package was indeed stolen and gave me a case number. I called ThinkGeek late in the evening on Thursday and left a message detailing everything since they were closed. I had little hope at this point and figured I'd have to dispute the charges with my credit card company like I did with the other 3 vendors. However, midmorning on Saturday Thinkgeek called me. They offered to reship the entire order with rush delivery! The only problem was not all of the items I ordered originally were in stock, so I verbally changed a few items in the order and he refunded the difference to my CC! I STILL 3+ weeks later am waiting on other vendors to make right by me, but ThinkGeek is certainly going to be getting more of my business as a result of this experience.

Okay, so apparently, next day means two days from this store. I ordered a power squid surge with next day shipping to get in time for my new TV to be installed. I called just to confirm it would be next day, and I am told that it will be here on Wednesday. This is somewhat ridiculous, as I paid for NEXT DAY shipping, not TWO DAY shipping. I am going to have to run out to the store and pay a heavy premium just to get a darn strip in time. I hate this...

First order with them. Nice price on some discounted items. They have things you don't see elsewhere. Lots of shipping options. I tried DHL@home. Have not received item yet, but will shortly as it has been handed off to USPS now.

Just wish they had indicated that it would be shipped out of NJ! I might have chosen a more direct route, DHL sent it from Jersey, to PA, to go back to Jersey. Will update on condition of item when I get them.

I have never been so impressed by the Customer Service of an online store before. I ordered a multi-tool keychain and through a shipping mix-up, received a tshirt instead. I emailed thinkgeek and told them of the issue. I received a prompt reply telling me that a replacement was being sent out for me and should arrive in the next few days. Without question they rectified the situation. A+!

Excellent service, amazingly fast turn-around time (3 business days between shipping and arrival at my door in NEW ZEALAND!) and great t-shirts. Will definitely shop there again.
