"After reading these reviews it seems like the bait and switch is a common thing with this company. They had called me to tell me the sb-700 was out of stock and wanted to sell me a cheaper flash. I also paid for 2 day shipping without the item being shipped yet. I will be filing an complaint with the FTC. Tactics seem very deceptive with this company"
"I found the Nikon battery at a great price on their website and placed the order. I got an email confirmation. Today got a call that it was on 4 week back order. I 100% wanted a Nikon charger because of bevious experiences with generic chargers. I truly was very disappointed. He offered a charger for $59 that I had never heard of. He assured me it had rapid charge capability and came with a car charger also. Until I get the charger I cannot attest to the quality they have offered, but this is a disappointing first try with this company simply because I 100% wanted a Nikon battery. "

I ordered a refurbished sb-600 flash online that the site said was available and they called me saying they don't have it, it's on back-order from Nikon which is a lie and even if true, their site should say that. Then they were like "we do have the sb-700" . . . . scam!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I bought a canon 430 exii from them here is my report on it I had been holding off on purchasing an external flash for my XTI for months, making up all sorts of excuses as to why I shouldn't own one. It's too big, I'll never use it, $200+ for a flash of light is obscene and on and on the excuses went. My wife surprised me by getting me one for my birthday and after using it for 2 weeks I couldn't be happier. How did I ever live without this thing?I take a lot of pictures indoors of my son. He's a 9 month old boy that's not quite ready to be outside all the time. I've got the 50mm 1.8 but it just isn't fast enough in the dim lighting of our home and the on camera flash is worthless. Ever since I got this flash I'd say that 80% of the pictures I take indoors and outdoors are taken with this flash. Below is a list of all of the pro's and cons I could come up with.Pros:- Fast recycle time. I can take several burst shots in 1 second and the flash fires each time. You won't miss many pictures because the flash isn't ready (like with the built in flash).- TTL is awesome. This flash is much smarter than I'll ever be. Shots are almost always perfectly exposed.- Lots of manual controls, easy to override TTL.- Very powerful.- On rechargeable double A's I get 400-500 shots easy without recharging.- High speed sync lets you take pics at any shutter speed with a flash (although the distance the flash travels is greatly reduced).- Tilt 90 degrees /Turn 180 degrees lets you bounce of ceilings or off a wall behind you.- AF assist is much less invasive than the horrible on camera flash assist and it really helps you focus in low light. Just a red light is send out instead of the crazy electricity storm the XTI sends out for AF assist.- Well built. Sturdy metal foot, nice locking mechanism.i want to thank them for a quick delivery and i want to thank the guys at work for good recomondation"
"It appears they bring customers in by offering incredible deals on name brand items. Then they call you and tell you that item in on back order or by currently unavailable. Then they offered me another off brand item for the same price. I said ok, but then checked online and found the same flash they were wanting to send me for 1/3 the price online from a retailer. I called back to cancel my order, which they did. Five minutes later, I got a call back from a sales who was rude and basically pressured me into taking the order. They did offer to match the price after I told her what I found and made her visit the same site to confirm the price and I agreed to take the order. Immediately after I did check to see if it was a scam because of the vagueness and uneasiness I got from the sales team. Recieved the flash and it didn't work as I needed it to, so I called and asked to return the item. They agreed, but were not very helpful in assisting. They gave me a random address in Brooklyn to send it, which is apparently a warehouse, but when I went to the UPS store to send it, the said it wasn't a valid address. I called again to verify and they treated me like I was dumb for questioning the address. I am just thankful that after all of this, they got their flash back and after two weeks credited my card. This all felt very back alley and shady to me, I'm just happy to be done with them and have my money back. I won't be doing business with them again."

The fact is, whether or not you are trying to sell me something better at a better price - It's shady to advertise and accept an order on an item, knowing you don't have it, with clear plan and sales script to try and get me to buy something else. Yes I know the item I was looking for is on backorder from the manufacturer and it's hard to find - you clearly knew it too - so why did you advertise that you had it?"

"I order a Nikon SB 700 and paid extra to make sure the item is arriving before my vacation. Calling in for a status, Brad told me the item is not in stock because it is coming from overseas but they can sell me a very same one like in online web advertising with some extra kit and of course higher price. Letting me with no choice, I accepted to pay more for the item I initially ordered but they also charged me another $29.99 for in time delivery.I asked to speak with a manager and I got Sarah in the phone but she gave me no additional options or resolution to the initial issue. Later on the day I got a voice message and an email from other manager Michael and he promised my order will arrive on time. Finally great new, we will bring nice pictures from our vacation. Thank you Michael, I can wait to use my new camera addition."
