"I recently bought a Canon T3 as a present, and after receiving it, there was a question about whether or not it was what the recipient wanted. I contacted The Imaging World, and immediately received an email reply from Chaim Weinberger offering a quick replacement with no return or shipping charges. I am really impressed by the outstanding customer service, and plan on buying from The Imaging World again.

"I purchased a Canon PowerShot S100 online from The Imaging World last week. The item description listed the camera as "Brand New", but the box arrived having already been opened and the camera was used and damaged. I returned the camera immediately and have yet to receive a refund, several days later. While I'm not worried about getting my money back, since the payment is protected through PayPal, I'd recommend avoiding this seller at all costs, since they're pedaling used and damaged items as "Brand New"."

"I ordered my 5D Mark III through them when I heard they had stock the day of release. I called them directly to confirm they had one in stock and placed the order immediately. The rep I spoke to was very kind and the order was placed quickly. I called back later that evening because I was yet to get tracking information (overnight shipping) and the same guy picked up the phone, greeting me personally. They must have called ID as he knew my name and my order, said everything was shipping shortly and would get tracking within the hour. I had it a half hour later.

Item arrived perfectly the next day. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would buy from them again.

"I was desperately trying to find a canon 5d mkIII body by the weekend. None of the big box guys had one available, but the Imaging World did. Joel was a great help and took care of me really well. I got the camera shipped free very quickly and had it in my hands the very next day. You can't have a better experience than that."

"I was searching for a Canon authorized store which caters to international customers while at the same time has a first-rate service and good prices. TheImagingWorld fit the bill pretty nicely in all respects. Had a smooth, hassle-free experience with the T3i I was looking available at a great price [which let me go for the 18-135 lense instead of the regular kit lense]. The shipping address was verified quickly [since I am not in the US], and the item arrived just as promised the next day. Would definitely shop there again!

"I shopped everywhere for a 5D Mark II. I got the best price from these guys. It was so good that I included the 24-105mm L lens, and even bought another for my friend. Lots of pluses: free shipping, Canon Authorized dealer, cheapest price. I would have bought used to save money but they made it worth it for me to have new. I never had brand new lens before. They are sweet! This camera takes incredible pictures... Now I want a 70-200 2.8 IS and a 50mm 1.4 for low light, and they have pretty much earned my business... Believe me I was skeptical especially after reading some reviews, but Canon verified their status as a dealer, and I got the main guy on the phone and he helped me personally. They shipped right away, I got my stuff, and I am stoked!!!!"

"I recently purchased an expensive Canon EF 500 F/4.0 lens from The Imaging World. I had not done business with them before and I was a bit suspicious of their super competitive price with free shipping.

I first called to verify that the lens was in stock and then placed the order through their web site. I received an immediate email order acknowledgement, but no shipping information. I asked by email when they expected to ship and the answer came back: 'today'. Joel Weiss called me to verify my address and the lens was shipped the following day.

I chose free shipping, and the package arrived by FEDEX, several days later. The lens met all my expecations: it was new, in perfect working order, not reconditioned, not gray market, with US warranty.

I had an absolutely first rate experience with The Imagaing World and recommend them without reservation.

"Order a CF card around a month ago, and have had nothing but limp excuses about shipping delays ever since. I think if you don't order the extended warranty they KEEP pushing via email your order wont arrive. sounds like a scam after all this time. Avoid."

"i placed a order april 17th before they closed for the pass over when i ordered it said it would be shipped that day but it didnt. Got a email on the the 27th saying it had been shipped. the tracking number didnt work. So i called them and tried to find out what was going on they were really rude and wouldnt listen to what i had to say. Finally started working on May 5th the day it actually got sent was sent first class so they didnt send it til the 5th if may. By that time it got to me i had moved houses so got sent to wrong address and got sent back to them. If they told me me the truth i could have had it sent to the new address but they were so rude and didnt listen to what i way saying at all will never shop from them again"

"First, most of you know that a lot of these reviews about some online sellers are not worth spit. That said please let me assure you that my transaction, Canon T2i with 18-135mm lens, was basically uneventful. Other than Joel Weiss having concerns about the order as my official home is in one state and I am currently living in another. Joel was concerned that perhaps I was using someone else credit card. But after a couple of phone calls to verify my residence, the order shipped without any hassle. There was zero attempts to upsell anything. There was no trying to add exorbitant shipping or insurance charges. Just my camera and lens arriving as ordered. I was a bit surprised and happily relieved. I too have read all the horror stories but not here. You should have no problems. Joel Weiss seems like a straight shooter, the kind of guy I like dealing with."

"I ordered the Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX from The Imaging World through their website on 2/5/11, and received confirmation emails from both them and PayPal about the purchase. Five days later (2/10/11) I received an email from PayPal saying my money had been refunded, with no further explanation given from Camweis, Inc. I then sent an email to The Imaging World (the customer service address listed on their website) requesting an explanation about the transaction, and I still have not heard from them at all! Their price on the item was much lower than anywhere else, so this just reinforces the old saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". I would recommend avoiding purchasing items from this company, for whatever reason they seem to advertise items they don't actually have. If I had ordered the flash from anywhere else I would have had it a week ago."

"Eh...I was a bit skeptical when ordering from this site--especially with their less than reliable reviews under their other name, Camweis Inc.

Either way, they said that a lens was in stock online, so I placed an order. Got my order confirmation fairly quickly but no shipping information--which was understandable over the weekend. As of Tuesday, I still haven't received any shipping information so I called in to check up on my order status.

The guy on the phone said that the lens has been out of stock as if I was supposed to have known when ordering. I told him that it said in stock online. He apologized and said he would refund the order.

Few minutes later, I received an email from paypal that a refund has been put into place. Now I'm just waiting for the money to show back up in my bank account.

No harm done, just a waste of time. Need better upkeep of the website information I guess.
