"I ordered 2 jeans on March 18th with the FREE shipping over $50. They were shipped on the 22nd and arrived here in California on the 28th because GAP shipped via FedEX Smartpost. Overall it took 10 days to receive my item, which was slow but to be expected given their estimates. I called in to GAP several times because there was a promotion going on, and the reps were always courteous to me. I love their jeans and they treat their customers well. I would go back. "
"I love Gap, but only if Im actually shopping on the store. Shopping online for them is a nightmare, I tried it once and waited for over a week for my clothes to ship and eventually get to me. So, I figured why not just try one more time, well I ordered my clothes on Monday and now its Friday and they still have not even shipped. I mean I am a patient person but come on. I think my days of shopping online for gap are over, which is sad because I have a gap card."

Me and my children love everything about gap like colours and style etc. I love the website it is easy to use and I can put in my daughters sizes and they will show me what is in stock for them on sale. "It's been a complete NIGHTMARE. I had first made a purchase in the retail store with a discount for registering for the gap card and specifically told them to charge my credit card, not the gap card. They didn't. So I had a balance on my Gap card which I had no idea about until 2 months later when I got a phone call from collections. Not a big deal,I paid it over the phone in May. I find out a bit later that there are fees/charges, but I cannot get into my account for some reason so I ordered a new card like they told me on the phone just to be safe. I get the new card and try to login again but it still didn't work. I find out the retail store put the wrong email in the system....great. So first they charged the wrong card, and now they entered the wrong email so I am literally getting charged without knowing and the late fees are stacking up.
Fast forward to today, I find out there is a balance of over $200 on this new card in just late fees! That's way more than my original purchase! So due to the incompetence of those at the retail store and customer service not explaining to me that I couldn't login because of my password, getting a new card would solidify my fees for which I shouldn't have to pay in the first place, etc....not to mention I have spend over a DOZEN hours on the phone in the past few months AND I STILL have to pay for the product despite my bank statement clearly showing I had already made a payment.
It's so unfortunate to be screwed by the system, I've never had this kind of experience purchasing retail anywhere. I'll never buy from Gap again and I would advise everybody who shops there to PLEASE watch your activity closely. I had made 1 purchase and intended on ripping up the card because I was never going to use it again...biggest mistake. Now I have to pay over a 100% premium on top of paying for the products again because the first payment VANISHED and I still have to pay for the prodcut somehow. RIDICULOUS. Never again. My family and I have purchased thousands in products from Gap, but after this they will never shop there again."
"Most of my orders have been done using a Gap VISA card, and most of my orders have been for children's clothing for friends who are overseas and want me to bring them stuff. This means: (1) there are a lot of discounts and promotions that go along with the Gap card. If you want something, you only have to wait a week or two before a 20 to 40% promotion pops up. Never pay full price! (2) I don't wear any of these clothes, and the kids who do wear them grow out of them in a year or less so I really can't speak a lot about fit, comfort or quality.
I've been very happy with my orders, though. They take a few days to ship the stuff, but it's not a big deal to me. Some stuff shows up by UPS and some stuff by USPS. It usually takes 7 to 10 days from when I order, and that doesn't seem unreasonable at all.
I recently ordered the wrong size for one item and realized my mistake a few hours later. I called up the service number and the lady was very nice. She said that the order had already been sent to the warehouse, so she had no way to stop it. She offered me a few options, and one of them was to order the correct size and she'd send it to me for free. She also applied the 20% discount that I had on my original order. She told me to take the item that I don't want back to a Gap store and I could get a refund. That's what I did, and it seemed pretty easy to me.
I'm pretty happy with the whole online Gap shopping thing. I get better discounts online, the selection/availability is better than the brick and mortar stores, and it's convenient for me."
"there's nothing wrong with the item i ordered. it's a perfect item i received, decent packaging, it's just gap shipment tks a lil' long to arrive. order item on feb 13, it shipped on the feb 16, & the item arrive around 1 week after tht, so it's pretty slow in shipment, but the rest is totally fine with me. luv the stuff."
"I ordered one for my daughter but it was a little bigger than I thought. I returned it at the gap store in 30 days and i got a full refund (shipping was free with promo code). i believe their return policy changed 30 days to 45 days now. SIMPLE ORDER AND SIMPLE RETURN."

"I ordered items from Gap. They did not fit correctly so I kept the items but ordered the smaller sizes. I then tried to return the first order at a Gap store and they said they had changed their return policy and they could not return the items since the purchase date was over 45 days ago. I have to travel over an hour to get to a GAP store so I was already upset about this. I was also not made aware of the change in their return policy. I just emailed customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. They could not exchange or return my items. I have a Gap visa card and am a very loyal customer who spends a lot in the Gap stores and always pays my bill on time. I am very upset with the customer service."
"I ordered 3 items to save shipping cost, but gap canceled one of my items. I then wanted to cancel all of my items, but Gap resisted to cancel it. They said the the two items were shipped. But they lied to me, They did not ship my order until three days later with their confirmed email.
I am afraid to order from Gap again. I am afraid gap will trap me with one item and expensive shipping cost."

"WOW...are they slow. Placed order on July 24th and it has not so much as shipped. 4 days of sitting in cyber space. Does not bode well for any other issues that may arise!"
"Decent Price, but I don't understand how you order things that are in stock and it takes over 4 days for them to ship it out. Simply Ridiculous! The saying you get what you pay for is so true, I don't know how they have such a good rating."
