"I ordered from the Amazon storefront which listed 7 of the items I ordered in stock. After a couple of days, I contacted them for status update, and the sales rep told me they were not in stock. He was polite, and promptly cancelled my order upon my request. I will consider doing business with them again because their prices seem to be competitive. I did not have a bad experience like some of the other people who have reviewed them."
"We ordered a four-pack of ink cartridges for our Dell 3000cn printer on July 1, 2010. The order arrived a week later. We loaded the black cartridge only a few days later and used it without any problems. Two weeks ago, we loaded the cyan cartridge, but the printer rejected is as being an incompatible cartridge. We tried to call The Factory Depot, but the automated message instructed us to send an e-mail. A day later, we got an e-mail response saying that there were no returns after 30 days. It is obvious that someone who purchases a computer, camera, or TV will know within days whether it is defective. It is unreasonable to expect the purchaser of printer cartridges to load all of them to make sure they are compatible because it would require removing cartridges not yet empty that are already in the printer. When we reached a manager, we got the argument that shelf-life, among other things, required limiting the return period. However, it was not the ink, but the cartridges that were incompatible.
I purchased an item and finally got in touch with them 5 days later to then get a response that the item was never in stock. After I called them, I spoke with the President of the company to find out that was not true either, the fact was they said they posted the wrong item.
This being said, I would recommend staying away from them as enen when a company makes a mistake, they should work to make it right. In talking to the President, he made it clear he undstood he could make it right but chose not to.
"Do not make purchase from TheFactoryDepot. Displeasted with tone purchased from TheFactoryDepot. Did not work first time installed. Print was smudged and streaked. Installed after short warranty time, so TheFactoryDepot would not do anything. Did not even repond to email asking that they reconsider and replace defective cartridge. Would never purchase from TheFactoryDepot again."
"Not very reliable - Item purchased was indicated as mailed but Actually was NEVER given to the Fedex. The phone has only an outgoing message with an email to contact in case of a problem. "
"Bought 2 Tablets refurbished and 1 box doesn;t have a tablet and pen but has the other acce. The other one has a missing mouse. Emailed customer service and were very rude they already assumed that I was lying because I told them I only received 1 tablet. Very rude. I would not buy from them again. I would rather pay more for customer service than cheap item with bad customer service."
"The Factory Depot has the best price for a Rhinotek compatible for Lexmark T632 Black Toner. When I took it out of package Black Toner shot everywhere clothes/rug. My computer guy explained seller knew or should have known it was defective before shipping. Printer wouldn't recognize the cartridge. The likely scam is that they bait you with a $50.93 price, have no quality control, and statistic are that you won't get it back to them in 30 days. I found Factory Depot through Amazon, and had a Amazon Invoice Order, but I never had the opportunity to rate them on Amazon. How does that happen? "
"DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE BY BUYING FROM THE FACTORY DEPOT! This company is BAD!. The WORST you can find out there.
I ordered a TV cabinet through Amazon because of the low price. The item was delivered 3 days later buy a trucking company who refused to wait until I have opened the box. I opened the box and discovered that the glass doors are broken-saw pieces of glass on the box. I did not take the cabinet out of the box and immeadiately closed it again. I emailed factory depot and was told that I have to get the box ready for pick up by Fedex in 3 days. Nothing happened in 3 days so emailed them again. They emailed me back to say that I have to ship the item back to their return department in CA, I live in NJ, to get a refund. I told them they have to do it because the item was delivered damaged. It is not right that I pay for the return. They refused and insisted that I signed the bill of lading and therefore it is my responsibility to return it. This issue is still unssettled. I am now waiting for Amazon to act on this. Online buyers BEWARE! DO NOT ever buy from thefactorydepot!"

"I can understand why the Factory Depot does not participate in this rating program. I ordered a desk from them. They promised to ship it within 2 business days and 3 to 5 day shipping. It has been over a week and they still have not processed my order or shipped the desk. Emails to them will get you an automated response that says they will respond to your email in three days. I finally got through to them on the phone and all they did was give me the runaround. They had every excuse in the book about why they had not processed my order as promised. I recommend you avoid this company at all costs! Do not order anything from them!"
"Ordered a light controller (Chauvet OBEY10) through Amazon. It arrived as promised, worked two months and died.
Now the fun part: there is NO email address for customer support nor returns. Only one emaail address for 'sales.' And that box is full. So I tried the phone number - it doesn't go through. No voice mail, no busy signal, it just doesn't go through.
They list hours - but no days of operation. So I assumed they are closed on weekends - Hello? You couldn't get a kid to print out your incoming emails or set up another box for customer service? Or staff the phones on the weekends before Christmas!??"
