"i had hit submit my order by mistake and there is no way to immediately cancel this order, you have to wait for them to respond. i wanted to see what the final price was in their shopping cart and then i went to read reviews and after reading these reviews i went back to cancel my order but my fault for not watching which button to click so i wanted to immediately cancel the order but I couldn't and once you have your info on their website there is no way to change, edit or delete that information. i did receive a confirmation email but that doesn't help or gave me any way to cancel the order. they say their hours are open on sunday 11 to 4 EST but their recording when i called them said their office was closed. so because i had no way to immediately cancel the order, i called my CC company and told them the situation and they cancel my CC and will issue another one so they cannot charge this order because it never went thru on my CC. lesson learned is to always to reviews first but i just wanted to see what the final price was in the cart and dummy me i had hit submit instead of cancel. so by all means DO NOT deal with them!!!"
"I ordered a 'brand new" camera on April 6 that was to be delivered in 10-15 business days. When it arrived on MAY 5th , ONE MONTH LATER , I opened the box to find a white box with a LABEL MAKER STICKER that said canon t2i. When I opened that box , there was the camera that I ordered with no original boxing or warranty card/info, just wrapped in bubble wrap and two accessories I ordered loosely jingling around in the box. One of these accessories wasn't even what I ordered and the other was a wide angle lens converter that was missing the piece that actually attaches it to the camera. When I called to ask where the missing piece was , the customer service manager told me that it was my fault and that I was the one that probably lost it.....LMAO!I can face the fact that I'm screwed and there's nothing I can do about it now , but my saving grace is that 3 of my friends from class as well as my teacher who were all interested in making a similar purchase from them are now aware of how they handle customers since I made the call on speakerphone and recorded it. We have since found a few other sites with better deals and have spent well over $12,000 combined from one of these sites. Even got to show the recorded call to the school administrator who was also interested in making a purchase. Now we all just laugh at them. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES DIGITALHUNTER!!"
"Same things as experienced by other negative review. Found a 60D for little over 400$. Was an imported model, this was ok with me. Ordered it, received the usual you have to call to confirm. I call to confirm and now I am being told that this camera does not come with a battery or a charger. (this is a lie, Canon does not sell incomplete camera). I just said I was ok, because I had such battery and charger already with another compatible camera. Rep confirmed me that camera was in stock.Immediately after hanging the phone, received an email notification, camera not in stock, expect a delay of 2 weeks or more and offered me to cancel.did call back to cancel, no question asked, they were happy that I did cancel since they did not want me to have that camera for that low price.In the process they "reserved" 409$ on my credit CardBy the way, battery cost where 119$ each but they would give two battery for the price of one..."
"They are the worst lens sales page on the internet to deceive buyers, offering products that are not available, I wanted to buy a canon 100-400 lens, supposedly they had on their website was not for digital SLR, but Canon from 1987 began to market this type of mount. In short, I sent a sigma lens 70-300 F4.0-5.6 OS for the value of $ 839.99 and market this lens costs at most $ 549 (http://www.sigmaphoto.com/shop/70-300mm-f4 -56-dg-os-sigma), also on their website say you can return the product if not satisfied, it lies (DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE)"
"SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!I came out of church today and there is a message on my cell that I have to call this number to confirm my order. I call them and they ask for my security number on my card. I told them I used it to place my order on a secure sight, but they insisted I put in the wrong number....I came home and printed the order form and it was the right number....this was an attempt to get my credit card security code AND IT ALMOST worked.....RUN AWAY FROM THESE THUGS and CROOKS!!.....and I cut and pasted an email I got from them asking me to call and "confirm" an order I already made.....CRAZY!Order# 68056-DDear Lee,We thank you for choosing Digital Hunter as your choice for all your photographic equipment.PLEASE CALL IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN ASSURE DELIVERY IN THE TIME FRAME YOU REQUESTED! "DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE FRAUDULENT. During an order discussion on the phone, the line was disconnected. I tried to call back, but was on hold. My bank called me the next day to say Digital Hunter or DIGITAL DEPOT or whatever their new guise is, had UNAUTHORIZED a charge of $430 on my VISA one day anbd $430 the next. I initially wanted to order with the company because at first glance prices seem good, then they bait and switch you, so a $500 order because $830. When I tried to call back again, closed on Sat. This morning, even when I tried to calmly explain how unethical this process was and that an order number or finalize3d order was never completed becasue, the arrogant Steve told me I authorized the charges, a complete lie. SCAM ARTISTS. AND he said he was going to go ahead and send the equipment and I would have to pay a 25% restock fee. If this occurs, I will sue. STAY AWAY!!!!!! They are called The Digital Hunter.com and are also on an answering machine as DIGITAL DEPOT"
"Feb 11 - Ordered a Nikon SB-900 AF Speedlight Flash all conditions of order met and status is order received. Shipping method is stated as SHIPPING METHOD: Ground 12-15 DaysFeb 17- sent inquiry about status of order - no responseFeb 24 - sent inquiry about status of order - no responseFeb 26 - sent inquiry about status of order - no responseMar 3 - still no response.Status continues to be Ordered - they have a copy of my visa card and drivers license plus I called them. These guys do not even have the courtesy of a response to my emails. I would not recommend them for any on line purchases. When I ordered the invoice said delivery in 12-14 days...its been a month and still not even the courtesy of a response from them. Buy from any other merchant other that these crooks"

"I ordered my camera yesterday and received it next day. WOW! I knew what I wanted, but when I spoke with John he made some great suggestions and I'm glad I listened. I did a fair amount of shopping before placing the call to The Digital Hunter. Their prices were already great and combined with the special promotion they were having there is no way I was getting off the phone without placing an order. So, after opening the box, I realized that two small items were missing. No hassles when I called; didn't have to wait to speak to someone and the items are in the mail. The staff is knowledgeable, ready to assist, and concerned about providing great service. That's what I got and I couldn't be more pleased."
"I ordered a Nikon, D7000 Digital SLR camera "Package" on line. I received an email the next day thanking me for my order and that I needed to call to "Further"verify my order. I attempted to call the number they left and only received a recording. The store hours on the Web site said that they closed at 3 PM on Friday. I called them back at 2:15PM Eastern time and the recording on the phone said they were closed.I had to call back on Monday and the call was then turned around into a sales call. The person I spoke with asked me if I had seen the D5100, and i said i have looked at it but wanted the D7000. The salesman then told me the D7000 was not intended for the USA and that the instructions might not be in english, but that they had a "special deal" on the USA D5100 that was made for use in the USA. The sales man told me that the "Deal" was in there sales add but not on their website. The deal included two "professional" lenses that the other camera did not have, the camera package i wanted had plain lenses, a carrying bag, a tri pod, a "HigH Speed" charger and heavy extra capacity battery, screen protectors, a cleaning kit, two lens filters, and a SD Card reader all for about the same price of the D7000. I did not see on the website that D7000 was not made for the USA Market.I ordered the D5100 I ordered this in time for Christmas and a vacation trip shortly after. I paid 80 + dollars for shipping, or all in all about $1400.00. I got the package and opened it. The cleaning kit and screen pprotectors were not there.The high speed charger is the same one that comes with the D5100 you can get at Best Buy, the lenses are the same ones that come with the D7000 I wanted and you can buy at Best Buy. The cleaning kit and screen protectors were not in the package. I called and they sent the cleaning kit. I checked and could have bought this combo at Best Buy with all the goodies and a GOOD carry bag for about $300.00 less an woould not have shipping on top of that. The return policy sucks so i kept the package. I took all of or family Christmas Photos and vacation photos and used the fine sd card reader that lost 3/4 of my photos out of about 200 photos when i attempted to transfer them to a new laptop. I tried again with about 25 photos to load them onto the laptop with the SD Card reader provided and lost all but two photos. I then discovered the laptop has a sd reader port, that read the next 300 photos without fail. All of the "Extras" were cheap stuff i would have never bought individually. I called about the High speed charger and was told that the one I got was the high speed charger. I like the Camera and lenses, even though they are stock lenses, just feel like i was taken with a bait and switch. The salesman i spoke with when i ordered the "deal" said I would be added to the "Special add mailing list" that I believe does not exist. Go to Best Buy if you want this camera. "
"This company is a scam. Our company ordered 20 cameras that they assured us were in stock and would ship within 3 weeks. This was November 2011. It is now Feb 1st and I still have not received my shipment. They lied about the stock and availability. If I do not receive my order by their new estimated date we will be canceling our order and requesting a refund. Do not buy from this company."
