"the bad reviews I read about this company had me sacred to death after I placed my order. However have nothing but good things to say. Over all fast and good service. Got the knife in a few days. They do say give 7-10 days before you contact them after order. Maybe I'm a lucky one, as far a complaints bout not in stock if the knife is hard to get it may take a while. Call twice got quick response each time. Will do business with them again, hopefully my view don't change"

"The Blade Shop (or Blade Authority as they changed their name because of too many bad reviews). I received my knife in 5 days after placing the order. I arrived ups and was in brand new condition, stating Blade Authority on packing slip. I would no place another order with this company though, despite the good service I received. The 1877-291-1328 was never in service and the company changing their name is kinda funny, doesn't make me feel secure, as I wanted to order a BM Infidel."
"I have been shopping there sevral years and their service is deteriorating. They say knives are in stock and being shipped the next day and you dont get them for weeks. I am waiting for one now and think I may have been conned. I hope they did not go bankrupt and I am sorry I let their pricing tricked me into sending money."
"I ordered from the blade shop a ka-bar knife and recieved it over two weeks after order date. When I recieved the knife everything seemed in order till I examined the knife. The knife blade was in bad shape. Appeared a child had sharpened the knife. The grind angle on one side was 30 and on the other 10. Then knife had a chunk of metal on end of knife and wasn't sharpened at top.Well sent the blade shop over half a dozen emails and multiple calls. Just getting the run around. Finally called amazon and they said I could ship it back to them for free and they would refund me the money. STAY AWAY FROM BLADE SHOP"
"I think that this is a scam! Ordered on 02/28/11; website said in stock. Then item was backordered. CC charged but item not shipped. Waited 6 wks. Asked for a refund and told no problem. Still waiting for a refund."
"WORST SERVICE EVER. I ordered a product in early January and was immediately billed and sent an email stating that the product was on back-order. I called them to ask how and and was always told by the end of the week they would have it. After waiting a month and a half i called and cancelled the order. 3 Weeks later and I still have yet to be refunded! I call them every other day... and its the same damn story... its been posted, I will check with our accounting department..."
"Placed an order on 12-30-10, credit card was charged immediatley. On 1-3-11 rcv email stating items were on backorder (other companies that I researched this item through listed on website if it was on back order) Went with them because of the price & availability of item. Finally got tired of waiting abd cancelled order on 1-17-11, The Blade Shop stated it would credit my card within 10 days, No credit as of 2-8-11. Several phone calls, they tell me credit was posted to my card on 2-9-11 will wait and see. Do not buy from them. After I cancelled my order on 1-17 I ordered same product through different company and I had my knives within 3 days."
"It has all been said, but they are scam artists. They have a bunch of stuff 'in stock' that they cannot actually get, so they charge your card immediately, then YOU have to followup a month later to see whats going on, then they say 'oh we cant get it', then its months and months of excuses why the credit hasnt shown up yet. You will probably end up having to dispute the charge with credit card company, as I did. Wish i had done my homework before ordering from them. "
"CON-ARTIST & RIP-OFF, DO NOT BUY FROM The Blade Shop!! Basically, mine is the same story, only worse. As my son prepared to deploy to Afghanistan, he wanted a certain pocket knife to have with him, he ordered it on 7/27/10. On 8/20/10 They sent a generic "it's back-ordered" email. My son asked me check on his order in early November, that's when they said "oh we can't get that knife any longer, do you want a substitute?" Of course I said no, as my son is very specific with what he wants. They agreed to cancel the order & credit his account on 11/8/10. Since then, I've made numerous calls to them and I've now opened a claim with my bank. They've had $157.00 for over 4 months! What if I wasn't watching out for the credit...he'd be off in Afghanistan for a year, fighting for his life, while these rip-off artists were spending his hard-earned Army pay. WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!"
"Wish I'd read all these reviews before ordering. Same complaint as everyone else. They took my order, charged my CC and never told me the item was on backorder. 3 weeks later when I didn't receive the knife I cancelled. They SAID they would credit my CC but never did. It has been over 2 months now and after several calls I am STILL fighting to get my money back. These people lie through their teeth. DO NO DO BUSINESS WITH THE BLADE SHOP."
"I bought a microtech ultratech from these guys and they sold me a knife with a different blade than what was listed. Check before you buy, these guys didnt take my return and now im stuck with this knife I dont want! I talked to the manager and he tried to tell me I got a deal! I DON'T THINK IT IS A DEAL WHEN I BUY ONE THING AND YOU SEND ME ANOTHER, CHEAPER BLADE!"
"I ordered two knives showing "in stock" on 8/24/10. I was notified by email that one was back ordered. I called and made a substitution. The home page says all in stock orders ship in 24 hrs. It says 24-48 under "policies" and somewhere on there it say 24-72. ??????My card was charged on 8/25/10.On 8/26/10 I was notified that my order would ship within 1-2 days.I received the knives today 9/2/10. They arrived USPS, which should have taken 2 days. I actually got the back ordered knife and not the substitution.I will not use them again. Billing before shipping, and showing "in stock" when it's not! "
"i placed an order with The Blade Shop on August 17, and received my merchandise 5 days later. while they didn't provide me with a tracking number, they did provide delivery confirmation, and insurance. it sucks that so many have had issues with them, but i have to say that my dealing with them was smooth and painless. i don't know if i'd ever order from them again, however; i placed my order before i saw this place and all bad reviews. i guess i just won a game of russian roulette; i'd rather not test my luck."

LIARS, CHEATS!I made a purchase through the website for an item advertised as in-stock.Item was "back-ordered" indefinitely, but they charged my card and never notified me that the item was NOT in-stock.Then they refused to issue me a refund, and the charge has still NOT been refunded to my account!It has been nearly a month now, and I have been told the refund will take another 30 days!!!DO NOT SHOP THE BLADE SHOP!!!"
