I won't order from this company again; I paid for expedited processing on the shipment, and I call 3 days later, and the order still has not shipped. They tell me that they're going to ship it to me "that day" and that I'll have it "tomorrow" but I've heard these kinds of promises before, and they're usually just empty. I'm not going to wait around while they figure out how to ship my product.
I canceled my order, and I'll go with a reseller who is better at communicating actual delivery times. I guess if you don't care about when you get what you want, this is a fine reseller. Otherwise, skip it.

thenerds.net stole $8 from me.
I ordered a refurb monitor from them.
Price was $149.99 + $29.99 shipping = $179.98
I used a coupon online to get $8 off the total price, which equals $171.98.
They bait and switched my order, since they said the stock was well over 600 but my order was canceled immediately.
I received a refund of only $163.98 a few days later, after they earned interest and then on top of that, did not give me a full refund, they stole $8 out of my pocket.
I call their customer service number, and the person was extremely rude, refusing to give me the $8 back.
The rep on the phone was obviously uneducated and cannot count, I paid $179.98 minus the $8 coupon, which makes the total paid $171.98.
They took an additional $8 off the $171.98 then refunded me $163.98 and claiming that's all I paid when my paypal account says partial refund from $171.98 and my freaking bank statement says I paid $171.98.
Update:
Well I filed a paypal dispute and resellerratings sent me an email if I wanted to update anything. Same thing, they have only a couple days left to respond to the dispute and have not, horrible company. This review was modified by its author, aZn_plyR, on

Another e-tailer who use bait and switch tactics, or doesn't provide instant inventory. Or just want to gain some short loan from customers to buy products and after 4-5 days to return the money.. Whatever they want to do , its not nice to their customers. It took them 1 day to let me know that my order is canceled and THEY DOESN'T PROVIDE ME WITH REASON why they did cancel my order?
" 896P31260AR CHIPSET MODEL:GTX 260;896MB;DDR3;PCI-E 2.0;MEMORY BANDWIDTH:112;MEMORY CLOCK:2 1 $163.99 $163.99
subtotal $163.99
s & h
(ground) $9.99
rush $3.99
tax $11.48
VOID: Never Shipped (Your order has been cancelled) ($189.45)
total $0.00"
That's definitely not the way to do business and i will not recommend this store to anyone. I build PC systems for living and i will NOT use their store for anything in the future.
When i called customer support the guy told me , that my order is going to be shipped the next day. Then i got the cancellation e-mail. And no explanation. This review was modified by its author, bobytt, on

This is the second time I order from thenerds.net. And I can't be more satisfied. First time I bought a HP CM1017 multifunction printer. It arrived in 3 days and it was brand new. This time I ordered a Monster HTS850 home theater power center on Aug 18. I got it on Aug 21. Again it was brand new and price was the best I could find. I will not hesitate recommending thenerds.net to my friends.

Edit1: product was shipped, a week after my order was placed. product has not yet arrives so tomorrow it will be two weeks.
i ordered a pny 9600gt pci express video card for $95.98 this model was the one that was packaged with front lines. I made a call today 8/19 only to find out that my video card is EOL(end of life) and they are sending them back. When i placed my order on the web the card was 95.98 and they had 11 in stock. Now the cost is 115 and they have 121 of them in stock. Ian has said a refund will be issued, but from the reviews listed here i do not trust him. I have contacted the BBB. They have pleny of pny 9600gts why not send me the one i had paid for last week. Do not Buy i trust ebay more. This review was modified by its author, davidtt485, on

TheNerds.net were a great company to work with. My order had a problem that was not the fault of TheNerds. But they bent over backward to fix the problem and ended up with me being a happy customer. Highly recommend them.

I ordered a $200 item and was pleasantly surprised when I was notified that it would be delivered via FedEx in 5 days. NOT! FedEx told me that although it received an electronic notification, it never got the item. Nerds.net would not answer my emails. Spoke to Customer support three times by phone and each time was assured everything would be quickly resolved. NOT! Now every time I call them, my phone call is cut off. I've initiated a PayPal dispute and got my credit card company to suspend their charge. This order has been a nightmare.

I ordered a new Antec 1200 gaming case from TheNerds at a great price and happily they were running a weekend special were all shipping was $4.99! The order process was flawless as well as tracking the case to my door. The case box was very wet on one corner (I live in Florida and we had some very heavy rains the day previous to the deliver so I wasn't too surprised to see the box covered in plastic with one corner wet and anyway that would be gig on the carrier and not TheNerds) but the actual gaming case was dry and in perfect condition. All in all it was an excellent experience.

The Good: I ordered from thenerds.net because they had the lowest price for a FireGL card I was looking for. Overall I saved about $40. Customer service answers their phone within a couple of minutes.
The mediocre: I ordered Friday morning and they shipped my item the following Monday.
The Bad: They charged $32 dollars for shipping a 4 lb package. I wouldn't be complaining if it didn't take 8 days (6 of them business days).
Bottom line: If you can save some money ordering from the nerds.net do it only if you don't mind waiting over a week for your item. I would have ordered the same item again if it didn't take so long to get it.
Update:: Turns out the tracking information I was reading was wrong... the item was delivered July 3 instead of the 8th. It was a pleasent surprise and considering that I had an overall good experience with thenerds.net and I would do business again. This review was modified by its author, avara222, on

I ordered 3 parts for a chief projector mount (RPA-U, extention column, and in-wall bracket). They say it takes 24-72 hours to ship and it's true. They sent a tracking number and when i recieved the package (which was fast) it was only 1 of the 3 items (it looked like it was drop shipped from manufacturer). I called up and emailed and they never got back to me. 3 days later, I recieved the other 2 parts. The prices are great, and the items came in immaculate condition, I think their customer service leaves alot to be desired, but I would definitely order from them again.

Ordered a Samsung multifunction color laser printer online on a Saturday. Price listed was lower by between $96-200 compared to other online retailers. Was a bit nervous about them, having never heard of this retailer before, but took the shot anyway for $737 including shipping.
Got a call from a very friendly customer service rep on Monday to confirm address (security check which I appreciate), and no attempt to upsell any product.
Printer was shipped on that day (Monday) with a tracking number soon posted on my account page, and an email sent to me confirming shipment. Fedex tracking indicated delivery date by the appropriate shipping method.
Company is located in South Florida, but the shipment originated in Chicago, which indicates to me that TheNerds.net works with drop-shippers, and that is fine with me (keeps the prices down).
Long story short... I was extremely pleased with the entire ordering process and interaction with the company. I would not hesitate to do business with them again as long as their price is the lowest of my preferred online shopping sources for a product I am looking to purchase. (Not ALL their prices are the best, but I will always check them for desired products, and buy if their price is lowest).
You can feel secure doing business with them. No problems whatsoever.
UPDATE:
Received the printer a day earlier than expected! The printer was in a box that weighed a total of 104 pounds! Original box and untouched. The printer is awesome and was painless to set up on my home network in a combined Windows/Mac mix. The printer came directly from Ingram Micro (got this from the Fedex tracking info) who are the largest computer equipment/software wholesalers in the world. TheNerds.net obviously are a Ingram authorized reseller, and they drop ship directly from Chicago which is why TheNerds pricing can be so low. VERY PLEASED with the whole transaction, and will definitely do business again! This review was modified by its author, Bampei, on

I have ordered numerous items from TheNerds and had been very satisfied until now. I ordered an upgrade copy of Diskeeper 2008 Server in order to upgrade my version 8 software. When the package arrived, it had a sticker on the front of the CD case indicating the upgrade only worked with version 10 or later. I did not break the seal on the package and immediately contacted TheNerds. Seems there is no return on software regardless of the reason and they suggested I contact the manufacture. Diskeeper was very cooperative but unable to do anything for me since I had not bought it from them.
I have spent a couple of thousand with them over time and I sure won't deal with them again. My word of warning here is to check their return policy on anything you consider buying from them. There is a long list of products that they will not accept back even if it arrives DOA.
