"Purchased Koblenz washer on Amazon and did not find a return label near the 30 day return date. Iopened a fedex account and was quoted 44.94 ship price. The washer was returned to theNerds and theNerds paid 15.00 shipping. I notified them of fedex re-priced charge of $176.28. The result is that I paid for a Koblenz washer which theNerds has probably sold. I would not use theNerds again."
"What a terrible company, I bought a very good chair mat from them and after about 3 months it started cracking where the wheels of the chair are. I contacted them via email, no response. Waited a couple of weeks and contacted them again, no response. Tried calling customer service and they dont answer the phone gave up after about 15 minutes. Emailed third time and guess what, no response. Emailed fourth time and they finally replied that since they never responded to the previous emails that 6 months had passed and they will do nothing and I should contact the manufacturer. I did not buy it from the manufacturer I bought it from them and they need to stand behind the products that they sell Buyer beware!!"
"I ordered a laptop on Cyber Monday through Amazon.com, and TheNerds.net was the third party seller. The laptop was garbage (an ASUS, I was surprised at the poor quality) and I read the return policy and was a little shocked at first to see that the person returning the laptop had to pay for shipping, so I wrote them a kindly worded e-mail explaining my problem and they wrote back immediately (like, within 2 hours) and were very gracious and sent me a prepaid UPS label. They accepted my return and kindly told me if I had any other problems they'd be happy to help. I was impressed by their helpfulness and how they handled my situation. I'd order through them again."
"I ordered some bluray discs, some sleeves, and a screen protector. They shipped from Fedex and UPS. The fedex package arrived but two of the packages never showed up. I have been sending them emails for a month. The UPS tracking site says they were provided with the wrong address, the address was changed to some town in illinois, and was signed for by a strange name, and the status is 'delivered'. TheNerds.net won't answer my emails or calls. "
"False advertising, not willing to correct mistakes.Ordered the Plantronics Savi W720 Headset from TheNerds.net. Description of item show picture of headset and base station, narrative of the item describes the base station. Only half of the units arrived (no base stations).Called TheNerds and talked to Chase. He was rude, did not accept that the page was misleading and that it needed to be corrected. He should have apologized for the mistake and promised to correct the page, while simultaneously attempting to make me whole."
"Placed two order few weeks apart for Peerless Industries projector mounting hardware. The price for hardware was one of the cheapest I was able to find on the net and almost half the price if I was to order directly from Peerless. They don't send you a tracking number because they drop ship directly from Peerless. Both orders showed up via UPS within 4-5 days. I never ordered anything else from this company before and can't speak about their service when it comes to other items but I will definitely buy any Peerless related items from this company."
"I purchased a $990 Pioneer Receiver from these people and got burned Big Time. I was a little past the 15 day return policy when the receiver quit working, so they refused to take the defective receiver back. I was told that I could use the 2 year manufactures warranty that came with the purchase After calling Pioneer USA I found that Nerds was not an authorized reseller for Pioneer products therefore Pioneer would not honor the warranty. I attempted many times to contact Nerds and Was put on hold then disconnected. Some call attempts were not answer and just simply disconnected. Think twice before you spend your here! R.C. El Paso, Tx"
"48 hours to post a tracking number? Not even close. Been 3.5 days and still waiting. Price was good but service leaves a lot to be desired, and got disconnected after waiting on hold for 10 minutes."
"Company went out of business in April 2012 but still collects credit card sales and your personal information. Company refuses to issue refunds for your purchases, will not call you back, and does not respond to emails."
"I found my product here for about 2/3 of the cost at other merchants. I placed my order, and received it the next day. I would definitely do business with TheNerds.net again."
"I was super excited to see the Swiss Army knife I wanted for $30 less than anywhere else. I went through the ordering process and even put in my credit card number. But then, I noticed something weird in their payment section. Most websites ask for the 3-digit security code on the back of your card. The Nerds website asks for that AND the "customer service number of your credit card provider (listed on the back of your card)". IMMEDIATE RED FLAG. The ONLY time I have ever been asked for the customer service number was when a credit card SCAMMER called me trying to "reduce interest rates". What happens when you give the number to them is that they can totally see details of your cc account, your balance, etc. So, when the Nerds website asked me for this additional info - which nobody except a scammer has ever asked me - I grew really suspicious. I came here and read the reviews that say these guys are totally unprofessional and I believe it. It makes PERFECT sense that they are selling things they don't even have, and then telling people their items are on "back order" because that totally fits with their overall scammy vibes, like asking for more cc information than any legit company ever needs. BUYER BEWARE!! I got the same knife on Overstock.com, where they didn't need unusual or excessive credit card info. I paid $20 more, but it's worth the peace of mind knowing for sure I'm not gonna be scammed."
"I ordered a credenza from them for much cheaper than anywhere else on the internet. Also, their shipping was less expensive than anywhere else. After placing the order, I did a search for reviews of TheNerds.net and was very nervous about my order after reading ones from this website! I am pleased to say that my order went very smoothly and I received the correct item in excellent condition. I ordered on monday and it was delivered on wednesday. I may be an exception to the rule, but I certainly hope not. I would order from them again based on this transaction."
"I placed an order with them on January 5th for an HP Touchpad that was listed as in stock on their website. Five days later and still no tracking number, I called customer support was told that they oversold the item and that my order is now back-ordered for SEVEN WEEKS. The only option I was given was to cancel my order - no discount or compensation offered for waiting on a continually devaluing piece of technology. This will be my last experience with this company."
"I placed two orders with them this morning for products listed as in-stock on their website. Tonight around 5pm EST I received notice that both orders were cancelled. The first email stated there was a problem charging my card (just checked my statement and a charge is pending). Then I got another email saying the item was back ordered. "
"As with most reviews I've now read, The Nerds are big on promising but fall way short on delivering. I placed my order on 12/23/11 and, as of 1/3/12, I still could not get any details on shipping. Yet, they charged my credit card on 12/27, the same day I talked with one of their CS Rep's who told me his supplier "could not ship directly to California!" What a crock! These guys are totally unprofessional and, in my opinion, total frauds."
