I called before I ordered and he said they'd get shipments the following week. I placed the order and then 2 weeks of follow ups with them and all they stated was it was delayed. December 6th they said it shipped. I've been trying to follow up with them and get no response to get a tracking number. It's now Dec 28th and I still have not seen it nor am I getting any response from their phone contact or email address. My order does not exist on their website any more. I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.

Over a month has gone by, no package, just "lines" like its on its way or "ships this week", These guys are crooks. Just got an email today 12/26/2006 sayin my "package was shipped to someone else". TERRIBLE service would never buy from them again, 3 xmas presents orderd 1 month before but never showed.

These guys suck! I have ordered a DMS4 Lite 3 months ago and so far no shipment! Numerous emails went unanswered. Phone contact? Forget it! No wonder their rating went down big time. Don't be blinded by the fairly sophisticated website. Nothing behind it! STAY AWAY!!!

I bought a x3 ir mod from this place. I aked a couple questions before I bough the item and they responded quickly on aim. They shipped my iyem out next day and it arrived 2 days later. When I got it, it had came with a few goodies like extra parts and even another modchip. I would definitely buy from them gain.

The seller was very helpful and flexible. They were willing to make payment arrangements when their website was not working properly. I placed my order on Wednesday and received it on Friday (two days)... great turnaround even though it was free shipping.

Contacted Shipdpt directly on AIM. I put in my order on Wednesday 02/01/06 and had the items in-hand by Friday.  
 
They had all the items I need in one place and at excellent prices. I wouldn't hesitate to shop with them again in the future given the positive experience I had and easy access to everything I needed.

I placed an order with themodchip.com on Thursday 09/15/05. Before doing so I called their phone number (213-291-8140) to confirm I could reach someone and ask a few questions. (Currently in process of filing a fraud claim against another mod retailer, wanted to make sure from the get-go that I could reach someone.) I left a message on their line, I received a call back less than 1/2 an hour later. I believe the person I spoke with was Sean. On the phone he was professional and courteous, and also let me know that if I submitted my order soon he would be sure to get it shipped out that day. (this was around 20:00 eastern US time.) Their CC processing system seemed a little odd since it uses a 3rd party but on the whole the web store interface was simple to use. My order of two X2.6CE bundles (included programmers and free shipping) came to a very reasonable $58.00. I received my acknowledgement for order #32003 at 20:07, my shipping confirmation and USPS tracking number at 20:14. On Monday 09/19/05 I received the shipment at my door in eastern Pennsylvania. Packaging was a USPS Priority envelope within a USPS Priority paperish-plastic (some sort of poly fiber?) envelope. While I would have preferred the durability of a box the items inside were contained in separate bubble packs. Everything arrived intact. I have already used the programmers to update the BIOS on the X2 chips, no problems found and all components from programmers to switches for the chips seem to work. I am waiting for my friends to get me their Xboxes so I can actually do the installs, but from what I can see right now there are no problems with the hardware I bought. I have been very satisfied with the products and service I received and don't see any way that I could have done better for the price.  
 
I understand that everyone has a history, and I was not aware of the feedback here or the posts in the xbox-scene.com webshop rating/opinions forum prior to placing my order. I do not know what goes on behind the web front at themodchip and who may be there that may have caused problems or run scams in the past. What I can say is that my order which went through just a few days ago was fast, accurate, complete and left me feeling comfortable with purchasing from themodchip. I will be checking in with them first when I need any more mod products.  
 
But because of the one bad experience I've had in the mod sales community I will probably still phone first, just to make sure.

Complete fraud! No response. Telephone disconnected. I had to file a claim with my credit card company to get my money back.

I ordered a Xecuter X3 Chip from system-mods.com and when i received the item I was alittle troubled to find no power/eject adapter cable in the kit. At first I did not see this as a big problem until I called SMT only to find that no one answered and the answering machine system was full. After a few days of trying this I decieded I needed to take a different approach, I sent an email to every one of the different departments regarding this item. This obviously did'nt work either. Eventually I decided to look elsewhere and went to themodchip.com for help. They sent me the item free of charge! I didn't even buy my mod chip from them. I was very impressed with this and am very happy on how this turned out.

I ordered an Xecuter 2.6CE awhile back. Got it in 2 days. I just ordered another one. This time an Xecuter 3 and an Xapter for that 2.6. Both times I've talked to RoT in the IRC channel on EFnet, #themodchip.com. He filled my order quickly. Very reliable man. Great services. I recommend.
